Dropped it off on Saturday. It was ready the following Thursday. It was cleaned and adjusted, and they even sharpened my chain. I was expecting a bill twice what I actually paid. I was very pleased with the work & the price.

They were extremely professional friendly and honest. Their pricing was very fair for the work done. They will be my go-to in the future.

I called on a Wednesday to double check that they still did lawn mower repair and was told that they do. I took the mower in that day and spoke with Steve who was very helpful. He called me the next day to tell me what repairs he needed to do and that I could pick up the mower the later that afternoon.day When I went to pick up my mower I did not recognize it it looked brand,new, as along with the needed repairs they cleaned it up.

.Perfectly!! I've shopped at Stone Brothers for years, but didn't know they had lawn mower and tiller repair, until recently. I took my fifteen year old tiller to be fixed and expected a big bill. It wasn't. It's running better than ever. The price was very reasonable. I got my tiller back within a couple of days.

After many years of use, the belt for the self-propelled drive on my mower became worn and slipped from the transmission drive, and was damaged. I submitted a question about the needed repair on a form on the Stone Bros. and Byrd web site; and Steve responded with a phone call later the same day (BONUS POINTS for a prompt response!). He was courteous and very helpful as he described the possible causes of the drive belt issue. He mentioned there was a possibility that the belt issue also involved a worn pulley spring which would have added to the repair cost; and he provided good ballpark estimates for the costs (including labor, the belt, and the pulley). He also said in our general conversation that if he found a repair would cost more than 1/4 the cost of the mower, that he would recommend purchasing a new mower, rather than charging the customer for an extremely expensive repair. This wasn't going to be the case in my situation; but I was really impressed by his desire to be honest with his customer, instead of focusing on increasing his own bottom line. He told me there would be a few days before he could look the mower over after I dropped it off. He called me back exactly when he said he would and said the mower was ready and that the pulley spring did not need to be replaced. When I picked up the mower, he said that the repair had not taken a full hour's labor and during the remaining time, he had cleaned the mower, sharpened the blade and cleaned out the air filter. He even helped me load the mower into my truck. Stone Bros. and Byrd is primarily a garden supply store which has been in business for many years. Lawn mower repair is not a and quot;marqueeand quot; service they advertise; but I'm very happy with the quality of the service I received. I will DEFINITELY be going to back to Stone Bros. and Byrd for any future lawn mower work I might need.

That's the go-to place for people to get their lawn mower repaired or tuned up in my area. They do fine. That's seems to be where everybody takes their stuff that I know of. The pricing has been reasonable, it's not expensive. I was a little disappointed with my experience. But also, I've never had my lawn mower tuned so I don't know what's reasonable.

I have used them before and I would use them again.

He was able to get the company to honor the warranty even though it was up. He was very good. He went out of his way to help me out.
