The guy that came, he was prompt. It?s a set price because they came through the warranty company. Pay the same price and whatever the repair cost, the insurance company pays that difference. They charged about $10 more a month then if you would just want to call somebody in. Not a month, but per call. The guy that came, he was professional and the work was fine. Very responsive. I would use them again, but you have to go through the warranty company and they assign who comes.

Initially they quoted us around $200 but we ended up not paying anything. I liked that they ended up working with us and not charging us for their services. Things that we disliked were they shipped our lawn mower away and were unclear as to how long it would take. The lady at the front said that it would take about a week. We got our lawn mower back after another four weeks. They did not get authorization for fixing parts and there was no communication. We had to call them to know the status of our lawn mower.

The problem is they sent it to Tennessee to get repaired and if you don't want it repaired they're going to send it back to you. They charge me $45 just to get the diagnostics. The estimate was $300 to fix a $200 item. They are supposed to respond back to me within 14 days, I called them on the 16th day to find out what's going on. I sent them an email, and I'll send them another one too.

We found out the dryer basically just needed to be cleaned. They took it apart, took the wheel out and cleaned it thoroughly because it was full of lint. They advised that I needed to solve the issue that was causing the lint buildup: essentially instead of using a hose on the back of the dryer I needed to install a box that would prevent a crimp in the hose. They were prompt and it was easy to pick up the phone and have them come to the house, but I think the price is probably higher than I could have found elsewhere.
Description of Work: Our dryer was not working correctly, so we called Sears to come help us find out what was wrong.

I guess I will not receive the repairs until Nov. 1. Friends are telling me that have had this same problem numerous times that they too have not received prompt repairs either. This is not service. These defective digital ovens are being sold to consumers, even with a list of complaints from consumers.
Description of Work: On March 12, 2011, I purchased a new Kenmore Range, a new Maytag Washer and Dryer from Sears. Today, Oct 20, 2011,my oven on my stove would not come on. I contacted Sears Customer Service. I was told that the earliest date that a technician could come would be Nov 21, 2011, one month from now! That was unacceptable to me and I became very upset. The person explained that they did not have anyone in this area until that date. After a few angry exchanges with him, I asked if I could just return the stove, to which he said they would not accept a return because it was 7 months old, even though it is still under warranty. He said I could choose another stove for the same price as the first one that I purchased, however, I would have to pay a 15% restocking fee. I called the store only to discover that they no longer sell any model of ranges that have manual controls for the ovens. 3 of my friends have purchased the digital control ovens and they too have had the same problem. After arguing further with Customer Solutions, he said he could possibly have someone out on Nov. 1. I explained to him that my husband was disabled and I could not wait 10 days for a repair, as I needed to cook for him. He stated that was all that he could do. I told him that I would not make any more payments if this was the type of, or lack of, service that they offered. Oh, and he offered me an extended warranty on all 3 appliances for my trouble. I turned down his offer because that did not fix my current problem. Then I received a call from another lady in Customer Solutions and she told me that I would not have to pay the 15% restocking fee, however, their system would not allow them an earlier repair date. I thanked her and told her I would look for a used range with manual oven controls and they could have it back, as I would not continue to pay for something that is defective. She threatened me with turning my name into a collection agency, to which I said, that does not frighten me in the least. I told her that I would advertise for Sears and never, never purchase anything again from Sears that might require service.

They had a good range of product selection and seemed very nice people. I had an issue with the product, but the repaired the same immediately. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

We had a terrible time with Sears. In general there is a burn injury with wood stoves. We weren't warned about it when we bought it. We found out a lot about it after the purchase in the owner's manual. We felt they should have told us more details. We had issues with chemical fumes from the new oven. We had a technician come out and said he could not handle the issues we had and we would have to have the installer come out and they refused to come out as well. We thought maybe we just needed a new stove. They were supposed to pick it up and deliver the new one the same day. When they came to pick it up they had no idea about the delivery. I called numerous times over a few months and no one wanted to do anything but give me coupons. I could not get the MSDS sheets to get more info about the fumes. I finally got in touch with Frigidaire and the gave me some information about the materials they put in the new ovens. I kept getting passed a long to different people. When I wanted to know what the stove was made of, no one at Sears could tell me. There has never been any follow up with the new stove. Over the phone each person was wonderful and the technician was nice, too. But no one helped me or gave me answers. I finally gave up and stopped calling.
Description of Work: Sears is where we purchased our stove.

The prices were fair. They were great and very friendly. They did a good job on the car and we got a very good deal on the tires. They were very professional and worked very fast to put in the new tires. I would rather not disclose the price.
Description of Work: They sold us the 4 tires for my 1993 Toyota Corolla. I think that they were Goodyear tires. They included a couple of free rotations.
