I pay a monthly fee of $10, the part they replaced and the labor was $700 so I think I made out well. The technician was here in five minutes, turned out he was right around the corner when I called. He came in checked it out, ordered the part and returned the next day.
Description of Work: They replaced something on my furnace.

PSNC Sent a sales representative to provide a quote and write up the contract, and scheduled the service. At the time, I specifically asked about the limits of city inspections in regards to my gas lines, as the home inspector felt that there may be issues with the water heater being up to code, and while I intended to upgrade, I wasn't sure it would be complete in time for the gas line inspection. The workers arrived on time and were very fast and courteous. They also completely disconnected my water heater, because they felt it was a hazard, and left it so that I was unable to have hot water until a plumber could come out and fix the problem. IF the original sales representative had been as knowledgeable as the people doing the work, I could have had this taken care of ahead of time. But he had told me, very specifically, that the inspector and the installation workers would be looking at nothing other than the gas line they were connecting with. Therefore, the day I moved into my house, I unexpectedly had no hot water. It was a situation that could have been completely avoided.
Description of Work: I hired PSNC To install a gas connection to my kitchen for a gas stove. My house was already connected to gas for heat, but had an electric stove top. They installed the lines, I purchased the cooktop, and they returned to connect the cooktop to the lines. They also arranged for the city inspection of the new gas lines.

Overall the service I received from PSNC was professional and excellently performed. I watched them as they methodically went through their tasks. I would suggest that you place some sort of covering over your floors or carpet (especially if they come in inclement weather) because they will likely have to into your yard or basement and they could track dirt into your home and flooring. So be prepared for dirt. Also clear a path from the entrance way to the work site. It helps to ease congestion. Also, avoid small talk and idle chattering until the job is finish. All particulars are usually dealt with before these guys arrive. They have a printed and signed copy of the work order you agreed to in hand so any changes will stop the process and work will have to be re-scheduled.
Description of Work: The PSNC representative came out to my home at the appointed time and waited for me an extra 10 minutes because I was late for the appointment. His name was Brad. He asked questions and after he gather the information he needed from me concerning my wants and expectations, he took some measurements and gave me the cold hard facts about what can be done, what should be done, what should not be done. Only after he and I where able to reach a point in which my expectation were in line with what could best termed as a reality check point, did he give me a price on the cost of the project. He explained any and all questions to my satisfaction. Even though I didn't purchase the units we discussed that day, he was very cordial and left his business card saying he is available for any further questions. I called back, after scouting around local home repair stores (LOEWS, HOME DEPOT,SEARS, and a dozen or so handy men) for information and prices. He set up a time when the installers would come in to place 2 gas burning ceramic heaters. Two men came in on the appointed time, took less than 2 hours to run gas lines and attach the heating units, cleaned up the debris and were on their way. I received follow up calls the next day to see if everything was to my satisfaction. When I told them I heard a knocking sound, a repair person was dispatched within 20 minutes to check on the problem. Yes I the is a little more than I would have liked to pay, but the quality and lifetime service guarantee gives me and my wife a great peace of mind.Just remember to be punctual, these guys run a tight schedule.
