Everything from testing our water to getting it installed went smoothly. The owner of this company is very genuine and just simply provides the facts and lets the customer make the decisions. I looked at other companies but I was immediately sold after having my water tested by Progressive Water Solutions. They have a lifetime warranty on their system - and you can even move the system if you end up moving homes. Employees were fantastic. Highly recommend.

The final product and service has been amazing. During the install, the workers were very helpful and explained everything in great detail. I cannot wait to recommend them to all of my friends or anyone looking for a whole home water system.

Dan and his team run a business as clean as your water will be once they've finished their work! In summary, they were honest, reliable, and speedy. I encourage you to read on for the details of how they exceeded our expectations and saved us from what would have been a major surprise expense! My wife and I were under contract for a home in Oxford, NC when our inspection report turned up lead in the water. The first vendor we had out to offer a quote correctly identified that the lead was likely a result of acidic water from our well passing through metal fittings on our pipes. That vendor suggested 1) adding a pH balancer; 2) replacing our functioning water softener a "saltless" water softener (which we later learned is a water conditioner); and 3) adding a carbon filter. These would have totaled $7,000. On the recommendation of a family member, we called Progressive Water Solutions for a second opinion, and we are so thankful that we did! They offered a targeted solution for $4,000, so a 43% better value than the first vendor. They recommended a unit that this would solve the acidity and, therefore, the likeliest source of lead. They also indicated that our water softener was functioning appropriately and that there would be no reason to replace it. Additionally, they indicated that they could install a reverse osmosis system for general peace of mind regarding contaminants, but they were clear that the likely source of the lead specifically was from the acidity in the water corroding our existing metal pipe fittings. Dan’s willingness to transparently answer my many questions further solidified my confidence in his company’s integrity, and we decided to proceed with the pH balancer but not the reverse osmosis system. The plan was to add the pH balancer to the water going into the house but not to the barn (which is where our horses will get their water) since it appeared that only the pipes feeding water to house had the metal fittings that were the likely root of our lead problem. By this point, we had closed on the house (we just weren’t yet drinking the water), but we hadn’t yet moved our horses. When the scheduled day arrived to do the work, Kevin and Gabriel introduced themselves (they were very pleasant and professional), and they got to work. In the process of installing the unit, though, they uncovered that there were metal fittings also on the pipes pointing out toward the barn. A less scrupulous company would have ignored that new information, completed the job, gotten paid, and forgotten about it, but not Progressive! Kevin let me know about the problem and began to explore next steps. It quickly became clear that we would need a bigger unit if we wanted to treat the pH going to the barn, which my wife and I were gravely concerned about due to the potential impact to our horses’ health if that acidity would cause the fittings to corrode and release lead into the horses’ water. I was BLOWN AWAY when Progressive offered to upgrade the system to the larger unit at no additional cost to me. All they asked was that I pay for the small above-ground housing they would need to install the larger unit in (they’d planned to put the smaller one in our crawlspace) and that I cover the extra medium they would need to fill the unit with since it uses more than the smaller one. They said they don’t like to have any surprises for their customers, which I found extremely commendable. Dan and Kevin arrived on the day we agreed upon to install the larger unit, and they completed the job well. Dan and Kevin even patched a couple of small pre-existing leaks under the house, showed me how to change our in-line filter, and even gave me a filter cartridge to use, all free of charge. My family and I will only trust Progressive Water Solutions for any water treatment needs we have in the greater Triangle area!

We just had our water system fixed and upgraded by Dan and his team can't say enough good things about them. I sent a message through there website requesting a quote to fix a water system that we inherited on the land we just built our new home. Dan came out within a few days and tested our water and explained what each test was for and what the results were. Going into it I thought we would need a whole new system but he was very honest and said that they could fix what we had and then gave options for better equipment if we wanted to upgrade the parts that were broken versus replacing them. I choose to go with his recommendation for everything and they scheduled to work on the system the next week. When they came out to work on they system they went over everything and gave plenty of notice when and how long they would have the water shut off to the house. They worked till dark replacing and repairing everything and did extremely nice work and cleaned up everything. They retested the water after they system was installed and walked me through the whole system and how everything works and what to do in case I needed to bypass parts of the system or replace a filter myself. I'm glad I found them and plan on using them anytime I need something done with our water.

We’re so happy we switched to Progressive Water Solutions. Three years ago, another company installed a full system, including water softener, acid neutralizer and reverse osmosis unit. Since then, we’ve been disappointed by that company’s service and the quality of our water. Our water continued to cause problems because it was very hard and acidic, so I called Progressive Water Solutions, who agreed to work on our equipment. They addressed our problems with professionalism and courtesy, despite the substantial extra work they encountered dealing with the manufacturer of some of our equipment. We’re now happy with our water quality, and we’re especially pleased with our new water treatment company, Progressive Water Solutions.

I compared a few different companies and DIY options for home filtration and PWS was recommended by another water treatment specialist. I'm really happy that I worked with Progressive Water Solutions instead of another company or trying to install a system I bought online myself. While having them install the system, I could see all the ways that I would have got it all wrong if I did it myself! Their customer service is fantastic! We are thoroughly enjoying our water softener and reverse osmosis system! We had remodeled our bathrooms and wanted to protect our new fixtures. The only thing we regret, is that we did not have the system installed years ago!! Dan was very good to work with. Norbert did an outstanding job of installation and his work ethic is impeccable!!

The company came to our house and did some water testing and demonstrations of how our water would be with treatment. They were very informative and understood everything about treatment of water. They performed all work in one day as planned, and installed the two systems with a high degree of expertise.

So the owner of Progressive Water Solutions had his tech install a bigger system and had it moved from the crawl space to the garage at no additional cost to us. When we moved into our brand-new home, we loved our house and property, but the water we received was, no question, the worst water we had ever had. The water smelled bad, and oftentimes, after washing a load of clothes, we wouldn’t even put then in the dryer, as they smelled so bad. The water the clothes were washed in smelled like something that you would think should be going down your toilet. We would have to wash them again. We took it for as long as we could, then we started contacting Water Filter Companies. In all we had three come out to speak with us, and give us their demonstrations. The last one was Progressive Water Solutions. Dan came out and went over everything with us. He showed up when he said he would and never pressured us, at all. Dan was a regular person. He did not talk fast, and try to confuse us, and he did everything he said he was going to do. He seemed to go out of his way to make certain we were satisfied with the install and the performance of the unit. He also checked back with us a couple times to insure we were happy with his system. We would have no problem having Dan do work for us again and would recommend him to anyone. We purposely waited for awhile before posting a review, to see if we were going to experience any problems. It’s been just less that a year now, and still everything is perfect!

Long story short - Progressive water solutions saved our skin. Their water system has completely improved our lives. From the dishwasher to the washing machine to the silky smooth showers - everything is better than before. Dan came out in person and provided a personalized solution for our water. His technicians were very thorough - double checking every connection. They were also extremely informative, explaining what they were doing, and answering all of my questions. Best part is this business is local to the triangle. If you need anything, Dan and his team will be there in person to help you out. A lot of these water companies try to scare you with a water test, or sell you extremely expensive units. With Progressive, it's no B.S. They give you what you need at an affordable price with unmatched customer service. Whether you are on city or on a well, if you want silky smooth, clean water, give Dan and his team a call. The worst that can happen is Dan will come out and teach you something you didn't know.

I am so appreciative of Dan and Progressive Water Solutions. Our water smelled like sulfur for nearly a month as we tried to figure out what was wrong and how to best solve it. Other companies were not helpful and some were not even willing to come out to look and smell. Dan replied promptly, asked good questions and was quick to schedule. He showed up on time and was great. He was knowledgeable, nice and super helpful. My 3.5 year old started chatting him up and not only was Dan kind enough to entertain his questions, Dan wrote him a card the next day that my little guy LOVED. Dan could have tried to up-sell us on a solution but after investigation and talking to a few others, he felt that there was a lower cost option. I had them do the work and Valdes came the next day. He too was great and knowledgeable. All in all, our water no longer smells and I will trust Dan with all future water needs. It is nice to find vendors whom you can trust.

Thank you so much for our RainSoft water system. The water tastes delicious, and the whole family has benefited from softer, less irritated skin. As a family of five, we opted for a full-house system with PH neutralizer and softener, plus reverse osmosis and CleanStart. The CleanStart system in particular has been incredible–my contact dermatitis has resolved, and I love being able to run the washing machine without laundry detergent. Knowing that the whole system is better for the environment, for our appliances, and septic system have been added bonuses. Lastly, I want to say a huge thank you to Dan, who was generous with his time, extremely reliable and courteous, and clearly an expert in water conditioning. We wouldn’t hesitate to get in touch with Dan again in the future, and can’t recommend his company, Progressive Water Solutions, and the RainSoft system highly enough.

System is working fine after one year and we do have cleaner water. They do charge $159 to top off the calcite on the iron filter even though they are out for the annual inspection which costs $139.

We had a meeting with Progressive's sales person Johnathon at first. He came into our home and I had told my fiancee that we were not buying anything expensive. However, when Jonathon came into our home for the "Sales Pitch" it really wasn't one. He tested my water, the water from my fridge and the water from my favorite bottled water company. First, I was shocked that I was paying more than $50.00 a month on water that was horrible. He showed us how we could repurpose that money into a system that had a lifetime guarantee. We then had him schedule the team at Progressive Water Solutions a time to be in my home to review the plumbing set up and to install the system. Due to the fact that the plumbing in my home had a unique plumbing configuration they had to reschedule the appointment to a different day because they needed additional equipment. Dan (the owner) worked with me to schedule a time when I was available after work. I was not available till late on the install day. He had a specialist familiar with my unique plumbing come all the way from Charlotte to install the system. As I live in a community that has a pretty strict HOA i was concerned about how the system would go in, and what it would look like from outside the house. The specialist took time to show us how he was setting it up and what it would look like before he began work. During each phase of the install he verified we were comfortable with where the equipment went both inside and out. He even helped me move a heavy peice of furniture we had been storing in the garage to get into the space to put the system components in. I cannot say enough about the care and professionalism this owner and his team took in order to provide clean water for our family! I waited to post this review till we had a couple weeks with our system. We love the product! The CleanStart laundry system is amazing. The money I am saving from not having to use laundry soap and knowing the fact that I am not polluting the environment makes us feel great about another step of turning to a greener lifestyle.
