My house had entirely new locks plus four copies of the new key in less than an hour; this work was accompanied by friendly, informative conversation ranging from the number of states requiring licenses of locksmiths (nine, including NC) to woodworking to books. This service provider is trustworthy and priced very fairly; I highly recommend them.

I wasn't really pleased with their service. They didn't really do much of anything. The guy came, and we had a problem with the lock on our sliding glass door that goes out to the deck. It was locking before he came, but it was just loose and it wasn't locking the way it was supposed to be. So my thought was that he would take the lock off and either replace it or at least manually go inside and adjust it. But he did not do any of that - he didn't take it off, he didn't put another one on, he didn't go in and adjust it. He did do something that would make the latch kind of just stay in the middle. And then on top of that he moved the catch on the stationary side of the door up and down, and that really didn't work and he had to put that back where it was. So the only thing he did, is he did make an adjustment that cause the catch from the locket zip to kind of stay in the middle position. It's the only way you could really took it in the stationary side of the door latch and lock it. But that is not the way it was supposed to work and he tried to convince us that that was the way it was supposed to work. And I said we were here when door was first installed, but either way we didn't argue with him. I felt like he could have done a better job, in all honesty. He just seemed like he didn't really want to get into it. He just did enough to get (inaudible 0:15:11.6) - it was already doing that before he came. I felt like he could have done a little more. We waited for him the whole afternoon and he finally came maybe about close to six o'clock. So he probably was in a hurry. For what he did, I felt that if he really wanted to give good customer service, he wouldn't even have charged for that. He could have handled it differently. He was a worker - I know he wasn't the owner. So maybe he had to charge that amount. I might use them again, but not if they send out that same person.
Description of Work: I have been using Pop-A-Lock. They did send a person out.

I lost the key to the outside of my shed to my house, and once I called them they were out right away. It only took less than a minute to replace the key. I thought it was worth the price for their service.

Their advantage is that they are very flexible. I like that they respond quickly, and I have used them in the past. All the 3-4 times I called them, they have arrived in less than 45 minutes. They are professional, and very polite. The guy who came out had a difficulty in removing my front door lock, and he did something called bumping for lock, which I didn't realize that it is not good for the lock. It was the only way he could let me in. I had that lock picked by someone else, and that man had no problem at all. That man opened it in less than a minute; but this man took longer to do it. I want to caution people that if they say they want to bump the lock, then people should ask what that means.
Description of Work: I used the services of Pop-A-Lock two months ago. I locked myself out of my house and my car. They came to my rescue, and popped my lock, so I could get in.
