 + -1 moreMy son and I drove all over looking for something specific for our new pool. We were directed to come to this store. We came to the store, the sign said open, we walked in and walked around called out for a staff member, nothing. We were basically alone in the store. A "hello can I help you find anything?" Would have been nice, even a "hello, welcome in" We got nothing... we left disappointed after driving all the way over for nothing. Total bummer. Hopefully their staff see this and can be more attentative to their potential customers moving forward. Note.. we did also jingle the bell a few times hoping to be noticed. Nothing :(

 + -1 moreI went to Poolside and worked with mainly Renee and she told me that the water test I had gotten didn't look right for the chemicals I was told to use and asked if I had anymore of the water. I didn't but went straight home and got more. Once they tested the water they told me that chemical amounts I was told to use was incorrect and they told me the amounts to use and also another chemical I would need. I know have my chemical levels good and we are able to enjoy the hot tub. The 3 ladies here are awesome to work with and want to help you. They take a lot of pride in helping you. I would recommend them to everyone. Poolside is kind of hidden on North Pointe Dr but is located beside McDonalds in the little strip mall.
Description of Work: I have a hot tub that I couldn't get the water correct with the chemicals another pool place gave me and told me how much of each chemical to use.

 + -1 moreWork was delayed, apparently due to weather. It was supposed to be done end April but finally was completed in June. The Durham office was not too helpful during this time and kept referring me to Mebane office, which I found inappropriate as I had been dealing with Durham location. However, the job was done well and Mike (the person who installed) was knowledgable, courteous and professional. He took pride in his work. So in a nutshell, I would work with Mike again!

 + -1 moreWhen I got the bill I was overwhelmed at the costs. Far less than expected which made me very pleased. I highly recommend Poolside for all repairs. They certainly go teh distance for the customer!!!!!
Description of Work: I had a leak and they could only tell if it were an inlet or outlet so they had to dig in two places. After much time and lots of labor I was fixed.

Description of Work: Their technician Mike came to our home to open our pool. He also gave my husband a course in what they call Pool School. Mike was a great teacher and everyone in the office has been very helpful and knowledgeable.

 + -1 morePoolside Inc Of Durham are great. We use them twice a month. They test your water for free. They are nice, they understand the situation, they are quick and they are very knowledgeable. They are very good people. They help you keep your water clear. If you have a problem, they help you out. They are very good to work with.

 + -1 moreThey analyze the water I need, and what I need to put it into it. It's a free service. If anything happens with the pool, they can help troubleshoot it. I used them one time when I had a leak, and they helped me figure it out.

Description of Work: I wanted to buy Bacqucil Surface Cleaner to clean my pool skimmer. I was told that they did not sell that product but that they had another that would do the same thing or better. The bottle of Enzyme cleaner was $21.95 which should have been my first red flag. The woman said that it would clean my skimmer and prevent any more buildup. I took the product home and began cleaning my skimmer. The product did nothing to clean the skimmer. it only smudged the ring and made it worse. I took back the product and asked for a refund and was told that it was against state law for them to take back the product and that I would not get a refund. The product bottle does not list the contents. On my way out, one of the twp women sad "don't let the door hit you on the way out...." Poolside could have given me a refund and I would have stayed a customer. They do not care about customer satisfaction, just the almight dollar. I actually went out of my way to use Poolside as there are two other pool supplies stores on my way to work everyday that I will now be using instead of Poolside.

 + -1 moreI LIKED THE WIDE SELECTION OF SHAPES, FINISHES AND OPTIONS. THEY CAME OUT TO GIVE US AN ESTIMATE. WE DID HAVE A FEW DELAYS, BUT THAT DID NOT AFFECT THE QUALITY OF THEIR CONSTRUCTION.
Description of Work: WE HAD THIS COMPANY BUILD A POOL IN OUR BACKYARD COMPLETE WITH THE PUMPS, FILTERS AND A HEATER.

 + -1 moreWE CALLED AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT. THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO COME THAT DAY, SO THEY CALLED TO RESCHEDULE, WHICH WAS FINE. THEY DID GET OUR POOL UP AND RUNNING FOR THE SUMMER. THEY ALWAYS DO A TERRIFIC JOB.
