They showed up at my home on a sunday to provide an estimate and began work on my project 2 days later. My job involved removal of a large area of cracked and broken concrete on a large driveway and back walkway. They were professional, courteous and provided an excellent explanation of what they would accomplish day by day and details about how the project would be done. They showed up when they said they would and the work was completed on time. At the end of each day they cleaned up their work area, this was very important to me as I have 2 small children. Mr. Perry even went over and above and moved a large pile of mulch from my driveway before the work got underway. I would use Perry Concrete again and would absolutely refer them to friends looking for a concrete company.

Gary, the owner, came out to my home and reviewed my cracked driveway. He gave me a straight forward quote and estimate on how long it would take to do. Since it was a relatively small job, I was flexible and willing to wait a few weeks for when it made the most sense for his schedule, especially since this was over the December / holiday period. As promised, Gary called a week after Christmas to schedule the job. His crew showed up on time, completed the job that day, and then came back a few days later to check on the work. Very pleased with the job they did.
Description of Work: Repaired two cracks in my sidewalk and driveway. They showed up on time, completed the job as expected, and cleaned up after themselves. Would hire them again.

My home was built in 1998 and my family was the first to occupy it in Sept. of that year. During the second year I noted that the driveway leading from the street to the two car garage had started to crack. A member of the company that built the house came by to inspect the crack. He stated that unless the crack was 1/4 inch or more wide they would not do anything to make repairs. As the years went by the cracking and crumbling became worse. At the first of June this year I called 4 contractors to came to my home to give me an estimate for the replacement of the driveway. Three of the contractors were very professional with me and explained in full what would be involved in the replacement process. I finally chose Bill Perry Contracting. His estimate was about the same as two other contractors and below the highest bid. He was the only contractor that mentioned using wire mesh to increase the strength of the concrete. We set up a date to start work a week later. On Wednesday afternoon, 6/15/11, Bill came to my home with another member of his crew. He again explained to me what the job will entail and what to expect over the next few days. They then began the removal of the old concrete. During removal, Bill pointed out that in some areas of the driveway there was less than 2 1/4 inches of concrete where there should have been a minimum of 4 inches. The removal was completed with consideration that no damage was done to any area adjacent to the driveway. At the end of the day the area was completely cleaned up including some dirt and debris that had gotten on the street in front of my house. The next afternoon 4 members Bill Perry's crew came to remove more of the base dirt from the old driveway area. Bill Perry came to the site later that afternoon, and assisted the crew with these preparations. When the digging was completed Bill and the crew set up the forms for the concrete, double checking and making sure that their would be a minimum of 4 inches of concrete over the entire area. On the afternoon of Friday, 6/17/11, 4 members of Bill's crew and the cement truck showed up. They laid the wire mesh and started to pour the cement into the form. It was evident that this crew must have been working together for some time. They worked as a team each knowing what needed to be done and when to do it. In the middle of this activity, Bill came to give further assistance and checking with me to make sure that everything was going to my satisfaction. When the poring and smoothing was complete the crew again did an outstanding job cleaning up after themselves. On Saturday afternoon 6/18/11 Bill Perry came to my home. He had brought some dirt, grass seed and straw. He set about removing the forms around the cement and filled in the areas between the driveway and my lawn that were left after removing the forms. He spread grass seed and covered it with straw. He again asked me if I was satisfied with the way the job had progress and was completed. He went on to explain to me how long I need to wait before I allow any vehicles on the driveway and that if I put water on the driveway during the next few days that it will help to increase the strength of the cement. I have yet to put my car on the driveway, but have gotten many complements from my neighbors as they walk by on how good the new driveway looks. When having other work completed on my home I have often wondered if I had gotten the right contractor for the job. This is the first time I have had no second thoughts on the subject. I am sure I hired the right contractor for this job. I would go to Bill Perry Contracting again without contacting other companies to do anything else around the home that involves laying cement.
