Orkin Pest Control

He calls me the day before. My service is about 80 bucks every other month. And if I see anything in between, they are here at no charge. If it is such regular maintenance, it is no charge, if it is something of some unusual separate pest issue, they let me know what the fee would be. I have been using them at two homes now. I have been using them for about 3 years here in Hillsborough. I did compare it to another provider and I picked them because they were cheaper.

They sprayed inside once, outside, under the house, in the attic and one of my storage houses. I liked the fact that they were very in tune and forth coming. I had found one rodent in my house there was a small hole in my crawl space door, and he told me to fill the hole with spray foam in case that was where he got in. He was very informative.

Two years ago I signed a contract with Orkin to protect my house against termites on an annual basis. I have the original copy of that contract signed by a representative of Orkin and myself. However, last year they neglected to come to my house.....admittedly, something that I did not keep track of. They did not bill me for last year. The contract calls for an annual service charge of $299 per year. When my wife called Orkin this year, they told her they had no copy of the contract - we subsequently showed them the contract. Apparently, they had a change in ownership and the paperwork was lost. They admitted that the oversight in treatment was their fault; that they mistakenly skipped last year. However, they wanted to charge us $495 to re-start the service. After some back and forth e-mails, they agreed to the terms of the original contract. Of course, I would have preferred not to have wasted my time with this...namely the missed service and the subsequent e-mails. However, ultimately, they responded in a professional manner - I did and quot;dingand quot; them a bit (in terms of grades) for making me send out those e-mails. As for termites......no sign of them...even though we inadvertently skipped a year of service.

The workers were on time and explained what they would be doing around the foundation of the house, on the front porch and in the garage area. I asked questions regarding the drilling of holes in the bricks and cement and they were thorough in providing answers that I was satisfied with. The job was completed within one day. I discovered later that a drainage hose I had taped together that ran under my deck had been disconnected; however, I took the steps to reconnect it and recently made the regional manager aware of this incident. I also received a certified letter regarding my taking the necessary steps to correct any issues which was confusing to me since I had an inspection in July 2012 and was not aware that letters of this nature would be sent out. c

My husband takes care of it, so I don't know the price. They are dependable, and they are here as often as they are supposed to be. They are friendly. They listen to my needs.

I have a contract with them and they come out for preventative treatments every other month. They stand behind the quality of work and come out for free if need be. They are extremely responsive and professional.

The same guy comes to our house every visit and we schedule him personally, which is nice. He is friendly and he always comes out very quickly. We had an ant infestation and he came out the next day and took care of the problem for us.

They do a fine job overall. TheY check in every time before coming as well.

The reason I like Orkin is that they are very informative. They let you know when they are coming, they let you know what they're doing and they give you a really, really good explanation of their services. Then they do the outside combination spray once they've done the initial treatment so you aren't getting all that stuff in your house every time they come by. They are very responsive. If anything ever comes up, like I have mice in the garage or something, they come out immediately. I usually pay them yearly. They always ask you for feedback. The man who does mine, calls me a couple days before he comes out to ask me if I had noticed anything in between time or if there was anything special. I think they are really good because of their service. The price is about the same. It is all pretty expensive. I have had someone else before and I may be spoiled now because the guy I have now is so good. If they switch the guy on me, I don't know about the professionalism because I have had him for so long. I just know that the guy I deal with is outstanding. I will absolutely continue to use them.

The mosquito treatment has been awesome. I would definitely recommend them. Our Orkin guy is great. He is responsive. When I've had issues or needed something retreated, I've actually called his cell number and he usually comes out within a very quick timeframe, usually the next day. He will schedule weekend appointments for me so I can be there when he is there. I don't know about Orkin corporate but the local guy is great.

We have worked with the same individual since 1995. He's friendly and we've gotten to know him over the years. He does great work for us, but he has also become a friend.

They show up on time, their service is effective and rates a competitive.

We have used them for several years. We are on a long term deal with them. Unfortunately we think we are paying too much so we are going to be jumping ship. The experience has been very favorable. We don't have any reservations recommending them. It is just getting a little on the pricey side. We are looking for someone else only because of the price.

They show up on time usually call or text the night be for to remind me of the appointment. They are great and very easy to work with.

They are very good. If something is wrong they will come back and redo it. They are prompt and reliable.

They told me that I had termites and that it would be $7,000 for them to treat for them. I had mulitple other companies who came out and told me I did not have termites and that they could take care of the job much cheaper. I just wanted other to know about this quote.

We have a yearly plan with them. They are very helpful on identifying other issues. When he has come out he has told us that we might want to waterproof or caulk areas because he saw some water coming through. We haven't had any problems with pests. They are very professional when they come to do the work. The price and quality are good.

He's been coming once a month for a long time. It's adequate in that I continue to use it, but at some point I had a mouse in the house and I don't think Orkin was much help there. He comes absolutely dependably, he comes at the time he says he will and he's a pleasant guy. He is unintrusive, he goes about his business and in 20 minutes he's gone. I'm not very excited about it, on the other hand I'm satisfied in that I continue to go with these people

I have an adequate experience with them. They are fine and my house is not infected. The people in Orkin Pest Control are nice. They come and work sometimes when I’m not at home, which I don’t like because they cannot work inside the house; so I make sure they come when I’m at home. Their quality of work is excellent.

Orkin has helped us with general pest control, termite inspection and the occasional problem with fleas. Anthony, our Orkin Man, is extremely professional, knowledgeable and personable. In addition, they have responded promptly when we have needed emergency services between regular service. We have also been able to customize our service to accommodate our schedule and changing needs. Always available for emergencies with very prompt responses to phone calls and questions. They are always aware of our pets and provide comprehensive instructions to maximize safety.

I have a new home and contacted Orkin for an estimate on termite control and for ongoing pest control immediately after construction was completed. At the time, I was having no problems with either pests or termites. They sent someone to inspect my 3500 sq foot home for termites, which they did not find, and provided a quote for about $4000 to provide termite control. I obtained additional bids (fortunately), and contracted with a different company for termite control, with a similar service and guarantee, for $450. Orkin sent a different sales person to provide a quote on pest control. I found it inconvenient to arrange to be home on two separate occasions for quotes from the same company on the two services. I did, however, purchase the pest control service for $81 per application, five times per year for one year. At the time of the first application, the technician sprayed outside and also inside under the kitchen cabinets. I was assured by the technician that the spray would have no adverse effect on pets and that it would leave no stains on my hardwood floors. Both assurances proved to be untrue. I called the manager to complain because my pet had become ill and there were white stains on the floor where the spray was applied. He returned my call, apologized, and offered to come out to clean off the stains on the floor (which I had already done). He told me that the technician they had sent to my home was not their regular one (implying that he did not provide their usual level of service). My expectation was that the company should be responsible for the competence of any technician they send into my home. In addition, the company billed me twice for the service for which I had already paid, which caused me to have to spend my time to straighten out their billing error.

They call me in advance when they are coming over. The guy is very personable. If I am here, they ask if there is anything in particular that needs attending to. I have a service contract with them and I'm very happy with it.

Orkin used the underground holes method to treat the termite problem. They dug holes about 18 inches apart and positioned the poison inside. They also dug the holes through the concrete in the garage, as this can be an unseen entryway for the termites, under the slab. I would say they were very thorough and knowledgeable about their work and would recommend them to others.

I have been very satisfied with this service. It is quite disgusting to have problems with these kinds of rodents and pests. I admire people who do this for a living and it is a great help to others who don't necessarily care for it. This company is very professional and reliable.

If for some reason you should happen to see a bug you just call and with in 24 hours someone is there to take care of it. They will re-treat and not charge you extra. They are always very professional. We have never had a problem with them leaving things undone.
