We did not use them.
Description of Work: Met at home show; they seemed eager though we said yard was small (10x8 area). They made appointment then took almost 8 weeks to respond. Once they emailed us with quote, they immediately called us to see if we were interested. We didn't trust their timeliness. They weren't particularly friendly, forthcoming with information/ideas. How could such a small area be so costly! We did not hire them though budget appeared to have line items that we figured could be eliminated and reduce cost somewhat.

Rudy spent a lot of time upfront working with me on the design and materials so that I could get everything I wanted, but still stay in my budget. His design ideas and personal attention completely exceeded my expectations. The cost was clearly laid out up front and the costs associated with any changes that I made during the process were clearly communicated. No hidden costs and extremely reasonable. Our project was completed timely, and all employees were professional and hardworking. We have thoroughly enjoyed our new outdoor living space and wished we had done it sooner. Clearly a first rate company. I highly recommend!!!

It was a waste of my time and money. I paid the $49 and was put on their schedule for the consultation. I took the morning off work to meet with them. And of course, they showed up over an hour late. I got some excuse about how he had to stop and buy a phone charger in order to use his GPS to find my house. We completed the consultation and I was supposed to get a design within 3 days. Of course, I got nothing. I kept emailing them and they kept replying with the fact that I would get something that week. This exchange went on for weeks until I gave up. I asked Angie's List for my money back and they said it was over 30 days, so no luck. Best they could do was offer me a credit towards something else. I was supposed to get my design done in August. I got an email in November with a quote and more excuses as to why it took so long. I politely turned them down and asked for my money back. The last communication from them quoted the 30-day money back policy. They also claim that Angie's List got the $49 and they got nothing. $49 isn't a lot of money, but the principle of the matter is what upsets me the most. People should do what they say they will do, in the timeframe that they said they would do it in. If that isn't possible, they should return the money. I still have all the emails, so if anyone wants anymore detail, I'm more than willing to forward the whole string of communications.
Description of Work: They were supposed to provide a design consultation with $300 credit towards work if I chose to move forward.

I am truly sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with our service. According to our records you scheduled an appointment for 8/19 in the morning but then sent us an email on 8/13 to reschedule for the 22nd. Our secretary re-scheduled the appointment for 1:30pm. You are correct in your review that I arrived an hour late at 2:30pm. I don't understand why you took the morning off from work if the appointment was in the afternoon. As I explained to you my telephone battery died on my way to the appointment and I had to re-route myself to purchase a charger so I can get my GPS to work again. I apologized then for the inconvenience. I should have been more prepared and have a fully charge battery with me prior to heading to your appointment. That is my fault. Nevertheless, we met for 2 hours that day and I honored the service consultation for which you paid the Member Price of $49.00, a typical Value of $150.00 . A savings of 67%. During our meeting I provided valuable advise in landscape clean up, design and suggested plants to complement your landscape. You asked me for an estimate to get the work done as described during the consultation and we provided it to you on November 4th, 2014. Unfortunately, right after the consultation appointment we were scheduled to attend the Fall home and garden shows and our schedules were full and we found ourselves under staffed. As explained to you we were under no obligation to provide you with an estimate nor you paid for that service. One of the benefits we run this type of deal is to gain more businesses from clients. We understand that it took a while to get back to you and we did communicate via messages that we were busy with the home shows and that we would get back to you. I acknowledge that it took a long time to get you an estimate but please understand that your review should be based on the service you received during our appointment. If you feel that you paid $49 for the estimate then you did not understand the deal (See below). I apologize but I feel that we provided you with a valuable consultation service including our time of travel and professional advice. I wish we could reimburse you for the service but as stated before the proceeds go to Angie's list directly and we don't get paid for these deals. It is a way for us to obtain reviews and prospective clients. We advised you obtain a refund from them but the deal only had a 30-Day Refund Guarantee. According to Angie's list we provided the service as stated in the deal. Here's the Deal: • $49 for an outdoor living space or landscape design consultation with a $300 credit toward installation of your project • Deal could be used for a new stone/paver patio or walkway, outdoor kitchen, fire place, fire pit, deck, pergola, landscaping plantings, and much more" • Review of your project ideas and recommendations for all exterior improvements • $300 value will be applied to installation of your project if contract is signed with Luxury Living Scapes, Inc. The Real Deal: Do you dream of an upgrade to your homes outdoor living space, maybe adding a new brick patio? Have you thought about adding a fire pit or pergola? Get started with help from the pros at Luxury Living Scapes, Inc. They'll help you plan for that design makeover you've been craving! The Fine Print: • Deal must be purchased through Angie's List to be eligible for discount • Service area includes: Greater Wake, Durham, and Chapel Hill areas • Not valid for cash back • Deal cannot be combined with other specials or offers • Deal cannot be applied to current or past jobs • Deal is for residential service only • Appointments are to be performed during normal business hours • Limit one deal per household • No limit on size of yard or project • If you choose to use Luxury Living Scapes for the installation of your project, a $300 credit can be applied toward the total cost • 30-Day Refund Guarantee • Promotional value expires 12 months from date of purchase, paid value does not expire I hope you accept our deepest apologies and will consider giving us a fair review based on the service we provided during the consultation. Thank you. Sincerely, Rudy Bohorquez, President Luxury Living Scapes, Inc.

Rudy and the team did a great job. We were amazed how fast they worked. Everything took about 3 1/2 days. I'm very detail oriented so there were a couple of follow-up issues which they took care of later. Rudy is very busy but usually responds within a few days. Sometimes you have to call or e-mail him twice to get a response but that is still better than probably getting no response with some contractors. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and have told my neighbors about them.

It was just good. I've never pay the full retail for what I've got. He actually forgot the first appointment and he apologize for that. He came an hour late but he did call. I felt like he was a middle man for a landscaping company and he's not necessarily a designer as he advertise himself. He not even did a design, he just stood there and it was very unimpressive.

Rudy and his very talented team installed a mortar and stack stone garden wall in our front yard to aid and address drainage trouble we were experiencing. Each time it rained more than a sprinkle our mulch would be washed away and down the street. The new stone wall not only keeps everything neatly in place, but is truly beautiful and dresses-up the entire space. Luxury Living Scapes, Inc. also addressed and corrected a drainage problem we were experiencing in our backyard by installing a French drain and underground drainage from our gutter to help the water drain away from our home and yard. It has been thoroughly tested by the summer storms/rain. Unfortunately, the plastic top of the drain blows off after each rain and we have to locate the missing top downstream. This was mentioned to Rudy, but he refused to address this concern. Luxury Living Scapes also helped design and install our new patio by using Belgard Urbana pavers and a natural stone seating bench and column. It is absolutely beautiful! We find ourselves wanting to spend all of our spare time outdoors on our new patio and backyard. Rudy and his team are highly skilled artisans, producing amazing results. Each member of his staff was very professional, courteous, extremely hard-working, and seemed to really take pride in their craft. Rudy is so concerned about customer satisfaction that for $50 additional dollars had his team return after completing the project and re-locate a portion of the underground drainage so that we could landscape better around the seatwall, column, and patio as we initially requested of him. ;-) Paying him $50 was the only way to get him to relocate the drain, as initially requested. Rudy delivers good customer service initially, however, once the job is almost complete he delivers lots of excuses, as to why he is unable to address any issues or items of concern. I was home on medical leave all spring and summer due to a staph infection and available to meet with him or is his staff at anytime. It doesn't get any more convenient than that. We have had drainage issues with our new patio that Rudy and his team installed. Unfortunately, every excuse in the book was offered, as to why he or his team could not work on resolving our concerns. We found it very interesting that Luxury Living Scapes, Inc. made time for each Triangle area home show and became so booked that finishing-up and addressing our concerns was impossible. Rudy is all about getting big dollar $ projects and does not like being bothered with reconciling concerns/issues once the job is completed to his standards. After having had this experience with Rudy, I can honestly say that I could not recommend his business. His staff performed quality work, but Rudy's attitude, poor customer service, and disorganized scheduling ruins what could have been a positive experience.
Description of Work: Installed a mortar and stack stone garden wall in our front yard. They also addressed a drainage problem we were experiencing in our backyard by installing a French drain and underground drainage from our gutter to the edge of our yard. Rudy's team also enlarged our patio with 286 sq. ft. of Belgard Urbana pavers and installed a natural stone seating bench and column. A natural stone was used for edging along our front walk-way and around the patio with marvelous results. Simply beautiful!

Hi [member name removed], Thank you very much for your feedback. Your project continues to receive many compliments from everyone that has taken a look at the pictures. Per our email exchange yesterday, I am truly sorry that we are unable to seal your patio this season and that has upset you. After completing your installation in late May we required 90 days before we can do any paver sealing. Unfortunately, we had already booked several months in advance so I had to try to fit you in our project calendar. The weather has also impacted many of our projects delaying the installation. Unfortunately, the weather continues to be a problem and now the low temperatures are not ideal for sealing your patio. I did fit you in our calendar to take care of your added stone edging request and other added work. However, I was unable to take on more business as I did not want to over commit and under deliver. I know how upset you are. I know you threaten me to change our current review on Angie’s list which I asked you to reconsider. I hope you reconsider and not over react to our inability to take on more work. Your review is specifically related to the work done and not your reaction towards my unwillingness to commit to take on more work or your unhappiness with your neighbor’s drainage issues. As requested before, I would appreciate if you keep your review objective to the work done. I have treated you with respect and try to accommodate your requests in a timely manner and I have worked with your neighbors and fitted them in our schedule to resolve some of your drainage issues which it is my understanding you still not satisfied with the solutions but I did as contracted with them and I can't control what they hire me to do. I did advise them on the best solutions that would directly benefit you. Finally, I will advise you to please don't worry about your patio sealing not being done this season. It is best if you do it in the summer when T's are high and the pavers are dry. If you are unhappy with us and can’t wait until next year to complete your project then please find another company that can service you better. Otherwise, I will be happy to schedule your patio sealing next year once T's warm up and I feel confident we will be able to do a quality job. Sincerely, Rudy Bohorquez - President Luxury Living Scapes, Inc.

We LOVE our deck - in fact we eat outside most spring, summer, and fall nights. Even in the summer, the temperature is reasonable. Our only complaint is that we sometimes had to repeatedly ask for information (Rudy sometimes forgets).

We are very pleased with the finished product/services. There were some delays due to weather. There were some problems with the drip system, however, they have been fixed. Rudy is very professional, personable, and worked to ensure customer satisfaction. I would recommend his services. I must note in the scoring above that there is a fine line between good and excellent. The cost for the total project was higher than other estimates, but feel that the quality of the work and outcome was worth the cost.

My son just graduated from high school and we are planning a big party with family and friends, I spoke to a number of contractors about getting some hardscaping/landscaping done in time for the party and it looked like it just wasn't going to happen. I had an appointment set up with Rudy and when he came out, he went through the plan in detail, and explained exactly what he and his team would do. When I talked to him about timing, he said "let me see what I can do...." he spoke to an existing customer who agreed to push back their start date slightly - I signed the contract, Rudy's team started on a Friday and worked straight thru to complete the project by the following Tuesday! They finished up the landscaping and some other small work by the end of that week.... so before some contractors had even provided me a quote, Rudy had the project pretty much done. Check out the pictures to see this wasn't a small project. Bottom line is Rudy and his team are fantastic... I was concerned about having my lawn torn up as they had to hand carry tons of flagstones, rock, and pavers via wheelbarrows through my yard. They set-up a plywood "runway" and didn't mess up a thing. His team worked so hard and they were all incredibly polite. When they were done for the day, you wouldn't have even known they were there it was so clean. Rudy was checking up on the project constantly and he is very easy to work with. Sometimes I would just be amazed watching his team at work, since they had 4-5 guys working in such perfect unison... they had a million things going on at the same time, but it was just so professional in how it all came together. They did a great job on the stonework, as well as the pergola and landscaping - a true full service outfit. I know it is difficult to pick a contractor as they all say how they are the best... I'm am very glad I went with Rudy and Luxury Living Scapes because he truly is one of the best. He explains how they will do the job, then delivers on that promise. Originally I didn't think we would have the project done in time for my son's graduation party, but with Rudy and his team we had it all completed long before Mother's Day... Check out the pictures to see the transition of our back yard, and realize this all happened in a matter of days! Overall we didn't have any problems - from start to finish it was a pleasure working with Rudy and his team.
Description of Work: Rudy and his team: extended existing flagstone stairs out, building large flagstone platform with stairs coming off both directions built half-moon flagstone fire pit built paver patio built pergola did all landscaping around area fixed drainage problem by installing catch basins and fixed water flow mulched entire property

We had them come out for an estimate for a retaining wall. Dennis gave us an estimate via email but when I sent an email back to ask further questions, it bounced back. Then I sent an email to the company's @admin and @info emails which, one was on the email Dennis sent us and the other is on their website. I never heard back after a few days so I called their number. The person answering the phone said Dennis had left and she did answer some of my questions and said someone would get back to me. Meanwhile, my neighbors got a quote at the same time and Luxury Living did get back to them after Dennis left. They said to pass info on to me because they did not have my email or number, which is not true because the admin I talked to said she was in receipt of my emails. Lie #1. Next I got a message from Rudy and an email with a new (higher) quote. His reason for the higher quote was because Dennis messed the estimate up. I responded that while I sympathized about the former employee's issues, I felt they should honor the quote because that was good business. He then responded he would honor that quote and would the stone he chose be acceptable and if so let's sign a contract and get us in the books. Lie #2. We said that was great and let us know how to proceed. I then I asked about the 10% Angie's List discount, Rudy said he couldn't honor that because their profit margin wouldn't be high and now he they would only do the job if my neighbors did their job because otherwise the job was too small and not worth their time. Wait, first they say they'll take our business and let's book and now they say it's not worth their time unless our neighbors do it? This is horrible business and I told Rudy as much and also let my neighbors know about this exchange. He then proceeded to copy my neighbors on a personal email exchange between us, which included information about my quote and further said I asked for an additional discount, when in fact, I did not - I was only trying to confirm our financial commitment. When I asked him not to copy my neighbors, he copied them again and said he did so to "give his side". He further continued to email me and then said he *would* do our job after all. At this point, we are no longer interested in his services as we now wouldn't trust him to not increase the price again or do a good job.

Dear [member name removed], According to our records, you are indeed correct that our previous employee, Dennis, provided you with a fluke estimate. Unfortunately, he was a poor salesman and we let him go for that same reason. I picked up your project file in May and provided you with an estimate that would deliver a quality installation and included a 10% Angie's list discount. We actually started working with your neighbors prior to working with you since April. On May 4th I asked the Neighbor's to forward an email with prices since you were interested in doing the work at the same time they were. You replied on May 5th with a concern that Dennis had given you better price. Here is our email communication for readers to decide who lied. I did my best to offer you great service and installation at a great price. You declined to accept it. " Hi [member name removed], I am sorry we couldn't connect today. I left you a voice message. Attached is a sample picture of the wall we have in mind. Your home facade is culture stone rather than natural stone. We will do our best to try match the color where possible. However, depending on the stone we select the material price may change. I did revise your estimate since Dennis did not do a throughout job. I updated the price based on the measurements and I extended a 10% discount since you were a referral from your neighbors and they are Angie's list members. See attached pdf document. Regarding the project time frame we are looking at end of June or the week after 4th of July. However, your job is small in scope so we may be able to fit you in between projects. I will not be able to provide a target date until we have a contract and deposit in hand. We are typically three to six months out in installations during high season (Spring and Fall) due to the great reputation we have and the quality of our installations. Most clients wait for us to have a professional job done. Let me know if you have any other questions. Looking forward to doing business with you. Rudy" Your response..... "Hi, Thank you. We are Angie’s List members as well. While we do sympathize that Dennis left, we feel you should honor the first quote given. That’s just good business. We were on board with that quote but will discuss the price change and time frame (six months is longer than we want to wait for a wall that’s needed sooner due to water erosion) and let you know. Thanks, [member name removed]" My response .... Hi [member name removed], "I understand and I will honor the price Dennis gave you (He assumed both you and Neighbor will do job together therefore the additional savings) Regarding time frame we are looking at the second week in July. About 2 months out in our calendar. However, that changes daily based on signed contracts. If you would like to proceed then let's sign a contract and get you in the books. The only item remaining is the stone color. Did you like the color of stone in the pictures? Let me know how to proceed." Your response...... "Hi, Fantastic! Great news! I’m not sure his quote included the job discount as he specifically said a better price could be negotiated if we did the job together. But we appreciate you honoring that. So it is the 1310 (original quote) minus 10% Angie’s List, correct? We do like the stone color! We appreciate you sending a picture - it gave us a better idea of what it looks like large scale. We can sign a contract and send a deposit - just let us know what percentage the deposit is. Thanks! Appreciate your quick response!" My response .... "Hi [member name removed], Unfortunately, I am unable to go any lower than $1,310. Our standard price is $1,640 as I estimated. The profit margin at $1310 is very, very marginal. It is a price I will only entertain if the Neighbor sign a contract too. Otherwise, it is not worth our time. If you feel this is not fair I do completely understand and I apologize for the inconvenience. It is important to me that every client feels satisfied and that they enjoy working with us. We can guarantee that the installation will be of superior quality. Therefore, we value our workmanship and service and our prices reflect it. Before we can proceed I would like to hear from the Neighbor. If they and you want to move forward with the installation then I will send you contracts and we will proceed to schedule your project in our calendar in July. Let me know how you would like to proceed. Thank you." Your response.... "Your previous email stated acceptance of price and to sign a contract and to get us on the books. Now in this email, you’re saying you will only do the job if our neighbors do otherwise it’s not worth your time? That’s terrible business practice and we will look elsewhere for our wall. We will also let the Neighbors know how you do business." My response... “Dear [member name removed], Once again I apologize for the inconvenience. I did honor the lower price that my ex-employee provided to you as a courtesy. Then you wanted an additional 10 percent of that. Please understand that to lose money on a project is also a very bad business practice. We are in this business to make a profit and we need to do so in order to continue to provide quality and professional installations. We're clearly not the right company for you. Have a wonderful day, Sincerely," You then proceeded to menace us with telling your neighbors of "our business practices" which were your mere illusion. We notified personally the Neighbors of everything as we are doing here on Angie's list because people need to know the type of person you are. In Summary, We offered you a lowered discount price including the 10% because they referred you to us. You wanted an ever lower rate and did not get it so you got upset. The lower pricing was given assuming that the Neighbor did the work from the beginning. The only reason we gave you a lower price was because we could do both jobs at the same time, save you money by ordering materials together, etc. If the Neighbor were not doing the job then I said to you it was contingent on that and it is my right as owner to do so. Like I said, it is important for us to make a profit to offer quality installations. After we signed contract with the Neighbor, I offered you again the opportunity to get the project done at the quoted price. You decided not to do business with us and gave us this unfair review. Please understand that we completed the project with your neighbors and they were very pleased with our service. It is sad that you had to vent your frustration on Angie's list. The fact is that you did not want to pay fair price and you are penalizing us for not taking on the job at lower price and giving us a bad grade on Angie's list. That is simply not fair.

They did come over and do an estimate but we actually decided to move with somebody else. I found them to be very professional, one challenge though is that there was a lot of follow up on my end for me to make sure the man is getting the estimate and then they had an action of finding another estimate because they also provide exterior paint as an option for their services and still up to this day after about 3 or 4 weeks they hadn’t contacted me about that. So I decided to go with someone else who is more responsive than they are but I found them to be pretty professional. What I like about them is that they were very professional, the owner who I met with was very people oriented and provided quality work. What I did not like about them, as I mentioned before was just that there was a lot of follow up on the estimate and I thought that he is going to draw up some plans for me with regards to the landscaping, it was just a normal estimate with just written words and prices. They seem to be processing a lot of different requests so I put then on detention coming from them to a potential consumer what I was hoping for.
Description of Work: Luxury Living Scapes, Inc. gave me an estimate to create a landscape bed and lawn work. It took them about 2 weeks to give me an estimate.

Used the online request form and received a message from Rudy saying someone would contact me the next day. Exchanged voicemails the next day and then the following the office called to set up an appoinment. 15 minutes after the appointment time I get a call from Rudy saying he is at least 30 mins away. We rescheduled for for an 1 1/12 hours later. a few mins after the new appointment time I receive a text saying he is too far away and will not be coming. Further more he is now not interested in the project at all due to the distance? If this was the case why did it take a week and two missed appointment to tell me? My budget was 15 to 20k so maybe that was too small is his eyes.
Description of Work: Unfortunately, I did not receive any services because I could even get a quote.

Response from Luxury Living Scapes, Inc.
Dear [member name removed], As I said over the phone you are outside our service area and our team failed to map the location prior to setting the appointment. We do deserve an "F" for this mistake. We answer hundreds of calls and several Angie's list requests a month and these type of errors are rare but happen. I tried to fit this appointment in my calendar. Unfortunately, I did not have the time to visit your property due to other appointments scheduled in our area of service and you were almost 45 min away from North Raleigh. The right thing I should have done was to call you and cancel the appointment ahead of time. However, I did not realize you were that far from our other appointments in North Raleigh. Your home is located in South Garner near Angier. I made the mistake to try to accommodate your request since we value Angie's list referrals. That is why I notified you that I was running late first. Then, looking at your address on my GPS, I realized I was not going to make it. I made the poor decision (I deserve the F) at last minute to inform you we could not service you after all because going to your home would have made all my other afternoon appointments very late. Again, we don't service that area. This is very unlike us and as you can see from our reviews we have great reputation when it comes to service and our installations are one of a kind. I understand your frustration and I truly apologize for the inconvenience. I wish we would have been able to transform your outdoor living space as you would have given us a different review. There is no project too small for us. We service all our clients and provide the same quality and professional service no matter the size of the project. I wish you luck in your project. Sincerely, Rudy Bohorquez, President Luxury Living Scapes, Inc.

It went great. They came in, got the work done and left and it worked. It was a small job. I do not know how much they charged us. I have not heard any complaints about it but I am sure that it was not free.
Description of Work: We used Luxury Living Scapes, Inc. three or four months ago for doing our patio lighting.

We couldn't be happier!! The project took only three days. Since our yard already had a fence, Rudy's team only used wheel barrows to bring ALL the materials into my backyard. Amazing! Each stone is over 70lbs and yet, they were able to get it all done on time. My husband was home the whole time and the team working each day was very professional and polite. They cleaned up the work area each day and there was no impact to any other area of our yard. But the best part are the results!! The yard looks SO much better. We love it and everyone who sees it is amazed at the transformation. We held off a long time having this project done and it was well worth the wait. We would gladly recommend Rudy and his team at Luxury Living Scapes to anyone who wants a great job done for a very fair price.
Description of Work: Our backyard slopes away from the house, making it difficult to use. Along with this, we have two busy dogs that continuously run around the yard making it difficult to grow any grass, in an already heavily shaded yard. We needed a retaining wall along with a walkway that would help control erosion and provide a walkable surface to go from one side of the yard to the other. We had a pretty tight budget for a project of this size. We used Angie's List and got several estimates. We chose Luxury Living Scapes and met with the owner, Rudy Bohorquez. He provided us with different options and pricing. After several meetings and emails, we decided on the project scope. We chose a 3ft tall stone retaining wall, about 70 lineal feet long with a built in set of steps and a cobblestone walkway. In addition, Rudy and his team added drainage as well as modifying areas to resolve our erosion issues.

We had a huge makeover in the front and back outer areas of our home, correcting drainage in many cases. We live in a large wooded area. The Luxury Living Scapes company provided the best service we have ever received. The owner, Rudy, is a good communicator who works with you through the process. He is quite good at capturing your hardscape/landscape goals, and his team were remarkably productive each day that they worked, even though there were delays due to rainy weather. Rudy's team members go beyond the usual service - they approach each task with creativity and enormous skill. They are the most conscientious workers I have ever seen, very detailed with the stone building, path design, patio, soil placement, etc. Because of their good work and reputation, they are very much in demand. So, you may have to wait in line for them to get to your home, but the wait is very much worth it.
Description of Work: Created back and front yard Chapel Hill gravel pathways; Power washed and resealed back paver pathway and patio; built two retaining walls in back with steps connecting the pathways. Built a natural stone mortared and stacked around mailbox, mailbox plant bed, and driveway drain pipes, adding riprap rock stone for drainage on either side of driveway. Also built a natural stone pathway to front door steps and releveled the front door garden beds to facilitate drainage around house; replaced gutter spouts. Built Japanese style bridge accross rip rap rock ditch. Provided cleanup and and front yard Zoysia Zenith Sod installation as well as all soils. Provided a wonderful landscaper to design the garden beds and planting areas defined by the hardscaping. Includes some planting.

Luxury Living Scapes met with us and took the time to learn what we were looking for, how the space would be used, & offered suggestions & ideas. Rudy was extremely polite & professional, and clearly has great experience in landscape design. He realized how important this was to us and how quickly we needed it done. He found a small window of opportunity and scheduled us in immediately, almost 1.5 months earlier than expected. The team was fantastic - punctual, professional, polite, and cleaned up after every visit. The work looks awesome & we are very pleased. We are planning a fireplace and sitting bench for the winter. Great work

We are still waiting for a few more phone calls to make the final decision on whether we want to proceed. But, so far this company has been nothing but nice and polite.
Description of Work: I called for an estimate for an outdoor fireplace. The project was more involved then I first thought, and Rhudy was able to look at a few pictures that I sent of the area and explained everything that would need to be done in order to achieve our desired result.

Rudy is wonderful to work with, he is very professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. He understood we were going to have to work in stages. The men working with him are courteous and knowledgeable. We had a rainy few days by the time they were going to start our project, so there was a little delay, but they worked on what they could while waiting on some supplies. The area where new Bermuda sod was going had a lot of tree roots, and could not have been easy to clear, but they got it smooth and ready for compost and topsoil. The new sod has taken and is looking beautiful. They put in a simple flagstone path for us that really helps set off the yard. They planted camellias, irises, variegated hosta, azaleas and Dianthus "Firewitch". They even cleaned up plantings that were already in our yard. The next phase will include an arbor at the end of the flagstone path, that leads to our vegetable/flower garden.
Description of Work: Installed sod, beams for plantings, plantings, and a flagstone walkway.

When Rudy met with us we where leaning hard to another landscaper. When I described our backyard problem(ie it was a mud pit) he quickly described a holistic approach to fix the issue and make the backyard a place we want to spend time. His vision set the bar high, for which his crew clearly delivered. After signing the contract his crew arrive ~3 weeks later to begin the work. Rudy indicated the work would likely take 2 weeks but we got lucky as far as weather and his crew got the work done in one week. After completion the transformation of our backyard is breathtaking. Please see my before and after pictures as I think you will agree the work was excellent.
Description of Work: Luxury did the following work: 1) Installed a 200 Sq ft Natural Stone Paver Patio 2) Installed a retaining wall to reduce hill and add soil to back yard. 3) Installed a Rip-Rap River to help water flow from neighboring yards out of our yard quickly. 4) Installed Mulch 5) Piped water from roof down spouts underground and out of the yard.

Rudy was very helpful and responsive. He came up with a design for us, helped us find all the information we needed to obtain the required permits and neighborhood approval, frequently stopped by during construction to check on the progress. He did a great job taking our vague concept and turning it into an actual outdoor living space we will enjoy for years!
Description of Work: Tore out old deck and replaced with new screened in wooden porch + paver patio; added paver base for playhouse.

We intend to use their services but we haven’t completed the process. They have been very cooperative and very good to work with. Overall we haven’t had any issues with them. They’ve been professional and the man that did the estimate has been approachable. They’ve been fine so far. There was one time that we were supposed to hear back from the man who did the estimating and we didn’t hear back. Other than that, they’ve been fine with their responsiveness.

Rudy was a great communicator, very thorough in his explanation of what they were going to do and the materials they were going to use. We got a detailed estimate and the work was done in the time frame discussed. His crew worked with meticulous detail to get everything looking perfect. The truth is, you get what you pay for. Rudy and his team use high quality materials and take the time to do things right. I will definitely use them again!
Description of Work: We had an irrigation system installed so our yard was completely dug up, destroyed and muddy. We hired Rudy to get some new grass started and to fertilize. They also re-mulched all of the flower/plant/tree areas of our yard, rearranged a few existing plants and added in 3 new holly bushes and 2 blueberry bushes.

This company was recommended to us by a good friend. Boy did he steer us right! The owner of the company worked with us personally to determine our budget and the design plan. The information we needed for our HOA approval was provided very quickly. The contract was straight-forward. The owner keep us well-informed at every step of the process and was easily accessible by phone or email. The team showed up last weekend at 7:30 AM on Saturday morning. They worked 11 hours each on Saturday and Sunday. We were floored and ensured the owner, Rudy, that it was not necessary; he told us they had a schedule to keep. Those guys worked HARD. We had loaded up with water and iced tea for the team (there were six of them), and Rudy restocked us. When we treated the team to lunch, he offered to reimburse us (we didn't take it). From a pricing perspective, they certainly weren't the cheapest but you get what you pay for. After I saw how hard they worked and how quickly they did the job, I thought the price was amazingly good. And they left my property pristine at the end of the two day wall installation. My husband, in particular, could not be more thrilled with the results. The lawn install is delayed by a day only because of rain. We will work with this company again in the spring to extend our patio and build a pergola. These guys rock. FYI, this company has changed it's name to Luxury Landscapes.
Description of Work: We had our backyard leveled via a 5' x 22' U-shaped retaining wall, a major drainage project, and are installing a new Zoysia lawn.
