JL Watson Paint Company

Description of Work: In late May, 2012 we contracted with JL Watson company to paint our home. The scheduled begin date for this was September 13th to power wash the house and paint the week of September 17th. My husband and I agreed that I would take the week of September 17th off of work (actually gave up a contract myself in order to be home). I began calling on September 4th to confirm our agreement and received no phone call back. I finally heard from Jerry Watson on September 14th that he was running a little behind and would be there on Monday the 17th. I drove home from York, PA late the night of September 16th (7 hour drive), all night in order to be home on Monday morning the 17th. I actually slept in a rest area in order to make the drive home. Mr. Watson did not come but he did call me the morning of September 17th to let me know he was running a little behind again and would be there on Tuesday the 18th to power wash. Mr. Watson came on Tuesday morning and power washed the house. When it began to downpour, he left, only to return and place a sign in the front yard. He called later that morning to let me know he would be here Wednesday afternoon to get the work done. I agreed. I stayed home Wednesday and Thursday all day. Jerry Watson did not call and did not show up to do the work. On Thursday night, September 20th, I emailed JL Watson once again and via return email on Friday morning, was informed there was another family death, "Jerry was running behind and planned to start on Monday, but I was welcome to send a check for the power washing because he would not be able to start the work until October 15." Very confusing. So which day would be start? My husband is not comfortable with this and thinks JL Watson is waiting to paint when we are not home. I re-arranged my schedule twice and this has cost me dearly. Now I have had to re-arrange with a landscaping contractor and make arrangements for someone to be here to watch my house next week and still do not know if this man will show up. They are not punctual. They to not stick to an agreement-even when made months in advance. They do not return phone calls. I am extremely disappointed in this overall experience.
