JD Service Now

They came out and did an estimate for replacing my hot water heater, arrived on time, everything was fine. I paid for the estimate at the time of service with the employee's device (ipad or cell phone, can't remember which). But then I sent them emails asking for clarification on different water heater options, and they never responded. When I finally did hear from them, they wrote to demand payment for their $39.99 estimate fee. According to them, their e-payment service was having difficulties that day they were at my house, and I should check my credit card to double check that I wasn't charged twice. When I pointed out that I had emailed them with questions, they were apologetic, but still demanded payment for the estimate. I went with another company, and eventually sent them their $39.99. None of the other companies I contacted charged estimate fees, FYI.

Their quote was about a $1000 less than the competition. They were quick to respond, professional, and they did a great job cleaning up after themselves.

Aaron Smeltz was amazing! The whole company is amazing! I caled that morning, and Aaron was there about 4pm. He determined the cause of our water issue was the power under the house and is was fixed in less than an hour! He also assessed our well pump and determined it is functioning great. From the girls in the office to the service, JD Plumbing is the best! I am looking forward to working with them in the future when they are needed. I highly recomend this company!

I called JD Plumbing in order to get their opinion about possibly installing a replacement sediment water filter that wouldn?t require the constant changing of thread filters, which I had existing at my home. They sold me a unit that not only would not require filter changes but would also replace my water softener which required monitoring salt levels and adding bags of salt when levels were low. I was told that the new filter would be very low maintenance. After a failed appointment that was scheduled before the equipment had arrived, I had the new unit installed on Jan. 8. After the unit was installed I was told that the maintenance required would cost $360 for them to come and replace the substrate yearly. I wish I had been given that information before I had made the purchase. I don?t know if it would have dissuaded me from buying the new filter, but I could have factored that into my decision.

Terrific. Very prompt to answer my call and schedule someone to come out. Service technician, Charley called to let me know he was on the way and arrived right on time. He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me a quote. He then got right to work and everything now looks and works great. I felt the price paid was fair, but having never had plumbing work done, I have no way to compare with other vendors. Because this was an issue I needed taken care of quickly I was worried that I might have to wait. I was so pleased that I did not and that everything is now back in working order - start to finish less than 3 hours from the time of my call!

Though it was a bit expensive, they were able to come out on a Friday evening at the last minute and repair our well pump.

On the first cold day of winter, we tried to turn on our heating system and it just made some nasty noises and then died. JD sent out someone almost immediately. Unfortunately, our heat exchanger had rusted and was also cracked. (The technician actually crawled back in to get photos to show me what had happened.) He explained that with a unit as old as ours it was probably better to replace than repair. We did some research, and everything we found elsewhere confirmed that this was true. We called four other companies for estimates on what a new system would cost. JD's wasn't the absolute lowest, but their plan made the most sense and their explanation of what needed to be done was the most clear. They showed us how our old duct system was poorly designed, not insulated and inefficient and well as pointing out other problems which none of the other companies noticed. We decided to go with them for the new system. The installation process itself went very quickly. There was one day when one of their technicians was out sick and they couldn't stop apologizing, even though it only delayed the project by half a day! All of the service people were polite and efficient. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Scott was incredibly professional and informative. I had no questions because he provided so much information upfront. He was on time, efficient with his time when there and cleaned up the area he worked in. He worked to make sure I understood everything and their pricing was very reasonable, especially considering this was a weekend/after hours call. I will certainly be using JD plumbing and specifically requesting Scott, anytime I have another plumbing issue!

Since the appointment was made several weeks in advance (to accommodate my schedule), I expected a confirmation call within a few days of the appointment, which I didn't get, so I wasn't sure they were actually coming, but they did arrive less than an hour after our appointment time. Once here, they worked diligently and efficiently. The equipment works and I have had no issues with any of their work.

The office and the plumber were both outstanding. They were going to give me $50 off for an Angie's coupon and I said no just to be fair. I'm a business owner and I use a lot of suppliers, and they exceeded all of my expectations. The experience was easily top 1%!

Took 4 inspections to pass. After 2nd inpection tech quit returning calls. I would call there main line and was told the work was completed, the work was corrected finally able to speak to a manager everything was corrected and passed inspection. Through project behind about 4 weeks.

One of the plumbers, David, came on Monday afternoon at the exact time promised. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a leak in the upstairs toilet water supply. explained several options, and we chose to replace the internal valve in the toilet as well as the water supply. He was superb! Well spoken, neat, and articulate. Perhaps the best plumber we have ever used, and we will only be using JD Plumbing in the future!!!

Our plumber worked really hard, and fixed the immediate problem. He didn't have all the supplies he needed to do the necessary rebuild (and he was spending his Sunday afternoon with us), so we agreed that he could come back out later. But, hey, we don't have water coming out of our ceiling any more and we can use our shower.

The guy was pleasant and on time. He spent a little while looking around and said I had sediment in my water from the new construction in the neighborhood and that's what caused the valve to stick. He recommended a whole filter system for the house and gave me a number of estimates with graduating costs. He charged me $300 and said that that was the normal charge with company overhead figured in. I think that $300 is twice as much as is reasonable, and I'll find someone else next time. Update: 8/16/15 A very pleasant representative, Brian, contacted me and worked with me on the price so that it was one I considered reasonable. I think this company gets extra points for reaching out and making an effort to make sure I was satisfied, which is not something I would normally say about most companies. So I've altered my review in that light.

Very well Replaced disposal

They gave me a window of time (2-4) and then called 15 minutes before they came over to let me know they were on the way. Both workers were professional, pleasant, and worked quickly. I got an estimate before the work and they stuck exactly to it. There was no upselling and they provided a clear explanation of what was wrong and what they did to fix it. Very easy to deal with.

They are awesome all the way around for everything. They are expensive but they are absolutely worth everything.

It was well done. It was also more work than they planned but they honored the estimate.

JD Plumbing was very professional with excellent customer service. They called on their way to house so we knew exactly when to expect them. They inspected our plumbing problems and gave us several alternatives to fixing the big problems and the less urgent, smaller problems. There was no pressure to select the more expensive, comprehensive option. They completed the work the next day and we are very happy with the work they did. We will definitely use JD Plumbing again.

I am very pleased with the service level and expertise of this company. I am not a handy man at all know no thing about plumbing so it could have been very easy for a less than honest company to find an issue and charge me more than just an emergency trip charge. My wife and have piece of mind and are very impressed with JD Plumbing and their employees. I believe I have found a trustworthy, fair, and affordable company for all my future plumbing needs. Everything went very well. They were prompt and professional and finished the job in less time than expected. I am more than satisfied with their work.

The work itself was done competently and professionally. I was very pleased with the plumber. My problem was that it took a month to get the right part to complete the repair. Over a week after the plumber's initial visit, she returned with the part, only to find that it was not the right part. Two weeks went by and I heard nothing, so I called to inquire about the status and to express my disappointment. The response was immediate and professional, as was an apology. I am not sure what caused the delays or what was done to expedite the part, but the repair was finally made on Monday, April 13. Given the exemplary manner in which my experience with JD Plumbing got started, I must admit that my enthusiasm for the company subsequently waned. It seems like $500 and 4 weeks was a lot to pay to repair the faucet.
