JD Service Now - Plumbing

Over charged and did added items to the bill that were unnecessary.

I'm almost embarrassed to leave this review. We looked for a plumber because we couldn't get our dishwasher to work in our new (to us) house. They came out immediately and didn't make me feel stupid at all...even though my issue was SO STUPID. They simply flipped the switch and didn't even charge me for coming out! Very professional! Very kind :)

Excellent customer service and the technician was knowledgeable and professional but the pricing is excessive and difficult to justify.

I was having issues with my gas hot water heater not staying lit. Josh worked hard on the problem all day and tried a number of parts. Unfortunately none of the parts he had worked, calling the manufacturer of my hot water heater he was able to track down the correct part. He was not able to finish the repair that day due to the part being ordered. I was kept up to date by Michelle and she called everyday to update me on the status of the part. Once the part came in Josh came back and installed the new part along with cleaning up the burner and vents. He was able to get it lit and stuck around to make sure it stayed on. He let me know how to keep the area clean so it would stay lit. I just felt like this was great customer service and would call JD Service again for any plumbing or heating issues.

Plumber was great but the price was crazy. How can you justify $400/hr.

I tried to upsell hugely from the issue I called them in on. Ended up sending them away (of course I still had to pay the service call fee) - and getting it fixed by a handyman for $200. They told me I needed to replace my entire bathroom sink fixture (which would also mean replacing the twin one next to it for consistency and matching purposes) when all was need was some minor parts (washers, etc) to fix the slow leak into the sink. They wanted to charge me $1200 for the new fixtures and the repair - and by the way, the exact fixtures they were going to install are available at both Home Depot and Lowes for around $70 each.

Techs lost two hours because they did not have what they needed to do the job, and had to go back to their shop. Techs left the house when they finished installing, without verifying that the system was working inside. Consequently, it was not. I called office after hours to report. Customer service called me the next morning, but could not tell me when a tech would come out. Asked to speak to a manager, but was told they were all out of town, and probably would not call me back until Monday (this was Friday). A manager did call me a few hours later, then sent another tech out. They evaluated and said someone would be back Monday to repair. They fixed it Monday. So, system did not work properly over the weekend, and the installation looks ugly.

Highly recommended. I had a simple repair of a leaking kitchen sink faucet. I did not have the proper tools or expertise for the job. I was very satisfied with JD Service Now. The dispatcher was prompt and professional. They called me before the plumbing technician arrived with an ETA. The tech arrived on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained everything before doing any work. He not only fixed the leak quickly but also made sure I know where and how to operate the water shut off, Checked the water pressure into the house and the pressure relief valve on the water heater. The rate was relatively reasonable for a 20 minute call; at least compared to estimates for the other 2 companies. I will keep this companies number in my phone contacts for future home repairs.
