This plumber was sent by my home warranty company. He called to ask if he could come earlier than our appointment, which was fine. Upon arrival, he did not introduce himself nor offer to remove his shoes. I showed him the issue in my hall bath. He checked it out and promptly walked out of the house, not announcing anything. He came back, started working with just a styrofoam cup, and approximately 5 minutes later announced he was done. I asked him what the issue was and he noted that the bolts needed to be replaced. As I paid him the call fee (per the warranty company), I asked for an invoice and description for his work. He stated that I did not need and invoice and that he did not have one. He wrote 'paid' on a business card and laughed when I pushed back. His professionalism was non-existent and I would never have him perform work at my house again.
Description of Work: This plumber was called to fix a leaky toilet. He did fix it, without speaking a word to me about what was wrong. It turned out that just the bolts needed to be replaced.

Response from Ivey Plumbing
In these cases (HomeWarranty)we are instructed by the Home Warranty company to discuss repairs and pricing with them only. Not the customer. We are sorry you felt as we didn’t communicate sufficiently. We were trying to cover ourselves We also had 4.7 out of 5 stars with AHS-Colonial Home Warranty and 1 other Provider Our sincerely apologies are warranted, and hope you’ll accept them.. I can assure you of 2 things; 1 - I will never work for Home Warranty Companies Ever again. 2 - Call us on your next Plumbing issue and allow us to earn your Business privately w/o a 3rd party I’m certain you’ll see the difference. If not,it’s on the house.
