Description of Work: Packed and moved us from Durham NC to The Villages FL. All the boxes were marked with a Sharpie by myself and blue stickers were placed on same by the movers. Our household contents were placed on a truck that was shared with another customer. When our household contents arrived in FL some of the blue stickers had fallen off due to the heat. We are missing two boxes of documents and a duffle bag full of shoes. Our record of the Sharpie boxes confirms which boxes and duffle bag is missing. The company was notified within tthree days of the completion of the move but they can not find these missing items. Claims process was unable to help us because of the deductable. We are disappointed with their effort to find the missing items and the handling of the claim.

+ -1 moreThey are part of United and I had used one of their companies previously and was happy with the work. I liked that they were local. They were $200 more but I thought it was worth it. The salesperson said they would be padding the door to prevent any nicks and it was not. I was also surprised that the furniture was not wrapped in any way; they brought it into the house unwrapped. There was one dent in one of the chairs. They were punctual and were able to meet my deadline. They said they would give me a discount and I didn't feel they gave me that. They told me ten percent but then they added extra charges so it didn't seem like a discount. They ended up contracting the work but they provided me a level of service which I paid $200 extra for because they had a higher level of replacement insurance if there had been damage.
Description of Work: I used Hilldrup Moving & Storage to move a heirloom quality dining room from Saratoga Spring New York to Durham.

They did a great job: nothing broken or damaged, arrived on time, and completed the job in fewer hours than estimated. Hard to ask for more.
