Description of Work: I don't think there's anthing left on my house that needs their products. Windows, sliding doors, aluminium gutters and siding. The first windows were almost 20 years ago. Only a door has ever had a problem and it was replaced quickly. Because they are a local owner run business the prices were reasonable. They actually looked at my house and thought about what work they had to do, instead of working off a formula or rigid list. This made their prices far less than the big box stores.

+ -1 moreThey did a fantastic job which led us to purchase two additional entry door replacements, a storm door replacement along with decorative design under the windows. I actually wrote a letter to the local paper regarding the great work that this provider had done.
Description of Work: I had to get ahold of the manufacturer of my windows so I had someone who understood my windows. They recommended this Gerald Jones Company. He repaired the windows that were recently installed. The re did the outside clad of the windows.

Andy, one of the company’s installers, is very meticulous, polite, and professional. When I had issues with some of the replacement windows, they honored the warranty and repaired or replaced them.
Description of Work: I’ve used the Gerald Jones Company several times over the years to install replacement windows, gutters, and storm doors on my house. They also coordinated a garage door installation.

+ -1 moreWe spent about $2000 or $3000 for their services. They did the work. They tried to make sure that we were happy, but we really had to stay on them. Some of their workmanship wasn't that good. We had to call them and we asked them to redo a couple of things. I would probably not use them again.

+ 0 moreExcellent---on all occasions. They are prompt, professional and the quality of their merchandise is wonderful. They're expensive----but well worth it. I never had any problem with them, they stand by the quality their work and their materials, they're a pleasure to work with.
Description of Work: On this occassion, I bought a storm door from them (with a detachable screen as well as glass) and had it installed. On previous occasions they have replaced my windows, glassed in a screen porch, and replaced the glass on an existing sunroom.

+ 0 moreAfter talking with many of our neighbors in Homestead Heights, we found that they all felt the same way. The original owners of Gerald Jones did great work and the prices were fair, BUT since Todd Mann has taken the helm, it has changed dramatically and for the worst. I could not in good conscience recommend this company to any one for anything. If you decided to go with them, you will have problems, and resolving them will be a bad experience on top of that. I highly recommend you seek out another company. Do not be lured in by charm thinking your going to get honest, good work. We paid a premium price and paid in full before the work was done, they delayed our install by weeks and to date have not treated us with respect or shown the professional courtesy that should have been at this level of pricing and this type of work. Buyer Beware.
Description of Work: We contracted with Gerald Jones to remove the Miami aluminum original windows in our 1956 ranch, to install new sliding, tinted, low E windows, plus an 8 panel steel front door and to install a glass door where a window was as a new back door. We asked that the brick and bead board paneling be left for future remodel projects and that the peep hole be in a specific place. Due to poor communication and follow with the owner/estimator-NONE of our requests were met. We had many issues with poor work concerning the install, the caulking was not correct, the venting for the rain on the windows was not correct, etc. It was one problem after the other. Over a year later we purchased a new home and our metal front door was horrible scratched by the movers, we called Gerald Jones, as they installed the door to fix the scratches-again very poor work, the man who did the work left the windows open in the house-the paint job was awful, it had to be repainted 3 times and still does not look good. The painter got paint all over the peep hole and the dead bolt and door knob. The door knob and dead bolt had to be replaced, they have not replaced the peep hole yet. They did not re-key the back door to the front door when they installed the new dead bolt and door knob, we had to call a lock smith on a Friday evening @ 5:00 pm and pay for it our self. They did repay for the lock smith, but still have not replaced the peep hole. They had to come back to fix where they improperly reinstalled our existing Pella storm door at the front door, it still is not right.

+ -1 moreThe thing that stood out the most is that I had asked for 5' downspouts and they came out very punctually to do the gutters. They were very professional, but they forgot to put the downspouts on. When I discovered that I called Gerald Jones immediately and he not only came out the same day to put on the downspouts, but he also extended the feet out from my house without costing anymore money. After that was done the head of the company called me to to make sure that everything was ok and he apologized profusely.
Description of Work: They replaced the old gutters with new seamless aluminum gutters and also put downspouts on them.

Description of Work: Gerald Jones Co. repaired improper gutter installation by another company on an addition to my house. The first contact was by an estimator a few days following a phone call to the company. This man was professionally dressed, and very nice. He sent a contract in the mail which I signed and sent back with a 25% deposit on the work. The workers sent to do the repair were nice and efficient. It hasn't rained yet which will be the true test but the hose on the roof test showed the repair was successful.
