FORREST TREE SERVICE

I had several trees in my front and backyards that had died and needed to be removed. I called several tree service companies based on their Angie's List ratings, and Forrest Tree Service was the only company that was able to fit me in on short notice (one of the trees was threatening to fall on our fence). Forrest came out and gave us an estimate that was reasonable, and returned soon thereafter to do the job. He called me on several occasions to let me know when he would be coming. Forrest and his crew were very polite and efficient- they removed the trees quickly and without leaving a mess. What blew me away was that Forrest and his crew, on their own initiative, also removed a number of dead limbs off of other trees in my yard for no additional cost. I didn't even know they were going to do it- I just happened to see them cut down some of the dead limbs. They were clearly doing it because they thought the health of my trees dictated it and not in the hopes of making extra money. I would absolutely recommend Forrest Tree Service to others and I plan on using them again.

This was our second occasion to use Forrest Tree Service and Forrest and his team did not disappoint. In this case we needed to remove trees and debris from a recent wind storm. Forrest was quick to call back, stopped by to estimate the work same-day, and then completed the job the next day. His team was punctual and did excellent work. His price was reasonable given the work involved.

The top of an 80-year-old pine tree had come down in a storm, crushing our deck about a month earlier. Forrest and two helpers came in the early afternoon, cut down the tree (22 inches in diameter), cut it up, cleaned up all fallen branches and chips, and hauled it all away. They also took down a branch from an oak tree that was threatening to pull the tree down, a couple branches overhanging our driveway, and a small yellow-poplar in the front yard. Aside from the pine stump (and the crushed deck) there was no evidence of the tree having fallen. He's worked for me before, has a long waiting list, always cleans up afterward. He's amiable, easy to talk to, makes sure he understands what I want, then does it. I actually expected to pay a lot more than I did for the work done.

All four men acted very professional. Even though more work and time was required Forrest stayed with initial estimate. Great job well done.

Forrest was punctual for the estimate and the actual work. He and his crew were very easy to work with and actually did more than contracted, very thorough. They are professional, have a great attitude and get on with the work. These guys were ready to work and did an excellent job. Some of their equipment included a Bobcat, trucks, chipper, pole-saws, tractor, etc. The climber safely removed limbs using ropes to lower some down to prevent damage to power lines and property. They all wore the appropriate safety gear during the job and there was no damage to anything. It is hard to find contractors that actually do work with you. I will definitely call them next time.

Everything went ver smoothly and Forrest even cut a slice of the trunk for us to keep to make into a coffe table. In the end, we were charged $1200 most likely because we did not have the stump removed (ground).

My wife and I rehab houses so we work with a lot of contractors etc. Forrest is top notch. Easy to work with, punctual, and resonable on price. I found Forrest on Angies list and called. Forrest was able to give me an estimate and have the work done without me needing to be onsite supervising. Will definately use again on other projects.

I called Forrest Tree Service about removing an enormous sweet gum tree from our back yard. This huge tree was up against a fence and in a flower bed and beside our chickens and ducks fancy coop and fenced off area, and very close to a swing set and fort. It would have been easiest to put the tree down on our lawn but I didn't want to tear up my yard so they agreed to take down our pasture fence and drop it in the pasture. I don't know how they did it but without even taking down the fence, they took that enormous tree down (giant black snake and all) with not a mark on the fence, not a leaf harmed in my flower bed, not a scratch on the chickens and quot;townhouseand quot;and no harm to the swing set. They even chipped up the tree and left it in several piles up against the fence in the pasture so that I could use it to mulch against the fence......all in just 4 hours! Over the past 3 years I have remodeled 3 houses and worked with many subcontractors. It has been very frustrating and 95% of the time the communication, the work ethic, and the products have been poor and disappointing. Forrest Tree removal was so wonderfully different! This was the nicest group of young men that I've had the pleasure to meet and work with in a very long time. I would consider asking them if there are other services they offer ... people with that kind of and quot;can doand quot; attitude are hard to find. I would definitely use them again and would have no hesitation of recommending them to anyone!

Forrest worked me into his schedule to be at my house the following week. He told me it would be a 2 day job.They arrived on the scheduled day and began working. He had a very hardworking crew of 5 men. They worked all day for 2 days and did a thourogh clean up of the area. I was very pleased with their work.

Excellent experience. Forrest was initially very responsive to my request for a proposal. Once the proper approvals were received from the Home Owners Assoc and neighbors, we were able to schedule the work between the drenching rains that kept the back yard somewhat soft. On the scheduled day, a crew arrived on time. They had 5 guys and five trucks with all needed equipment: * bucket truck for limb pruning of overhangs on the roof, * chipper and closed van for chips * stump grinder and bobcat * Pick up truck for tools * large flatbed for larger sections of tree trunks. These guys were ready to work and did an excellent job. I had a work plan ready and they were able to accomplish everything in the day we had scheduled. Clean up was very good and you cannot tell they were here. There was no damage to existing vegetation or to the house or deck. The climber was able to safely remove limbs and then section the tree down that was overhanging the back deck. All the equipment worked and there was no downtime from broken gear. I especially appreciated that they all wore the appropriate safety gear during the job. There is a lot that can go wrong with this kind of work. The crew worked hard all day.

Very good overall. Great price! He came out for an estimate a few days after the initial request. We made an appointment for 3 weeks from estimate date but he squeezed us in early (after only a week) due to a cancellation by another scheduled client. Required no work on our part or for us to be present. We just came home and found the trees we had discussed trimmed/removed. We almost couldn't tell they were even there, because they did such a good job cleaning up. No real complaints. Would use them again without hesitation.

They are very busy and I had to wait about 2 weeks longer than expected. I choose this company for 3 reasons 1. They were very professional during the estimate process 2. The comments on Angie's list were very positive and 3. The Estimate was in the ballpark of what I wanted to pay.The crew was professional and pleasant to work with.We walked the area before the work and after it was done. I will use them again.

Had him return once to do a bit more trimming as I was not present during the original visit. He is very, very busy so I had to wait for his services but that was fine since I did not have an emergent issue.

We couldn't be happier. Forrest is personable and professional and knows his trees. His crew was great as well. We really appreciated his attention to detail and the extra effort to take care of us as a hurricane approached. Based on the quality of his work and other estimates we received, I really think he could charge a bit more. We will definitely call on him again if we need tree work and have already been recommending him to others.

I called several companies and Forrest gave me the lowest price. When they came out they were wonderful! The men had an incredible sense of humor and cleaned up so well that you couldn't even tell they were in my yard.

On time, correct tools, professional staff, tree dropped where it should.

Owner was very responsive and polite throughout process. Because I had a dangerous situation I asked if he could move me up on the schedule. When he had a cancellation he called me immediately and said he could bring his crew over to remove trees. This was about a week and a half ahead of the original schedule. Removal was very professional and quick, and the property was left in pristine condition. I highly recommend Forrest Tree Service.

Forrest tree service came when they said they would, performed exactly as agreed, and cleaned the work sites thoroughly before departing with all debris. Forrest Steel and his crew are courteous professionals who had all the tools, knowledge, skill, and experience needed to get my job done quickly, thoroughly, and completely. I could not be more pleased and would hire them again.

Forrest and his company removed the tree, cleaned up and did a great job. Turns out, I've know Forrest for years. I would highly recommend his service and will call on him again in the future.

He is a great one. The guy is awesome. His name is Forrest Steele and he is the owner. He worked like a dog. He was unbelievable. He gave us a great deal and that's why we liked him too. He charged $1,200 for a monster huge tree at my neighbor and somebody else would have probably charged $4,000. He only charged a couple of hundred a tree and others were ripping people off and charging $1,000. I've paid like $2,000 a tree and he was pretty cheap. He was at least half of these other people. He did us a group deal because he cut down a whole bunch of trees and ground them. His help was okay but he did most of the work. We called him again and he was busy.

Mr. Forrest was professional and responsive. We had a bit of difficulty scheduling the work due to how busy he was and the weather. However, he worked us into his schedule on a Saturday and showed up as promised. His crew performed the work and cleaned up the debris. We were very pleased with the experience, especially since a different tree service company had quoted us three times the cost to do the same work!

Forrest was prompt with an estimate and prompt with the work. Took down the limbs I needed down and didn't leave a trace that he was there. Convenient that they take credit cards.

Prompt visit to provide estimate. Agreed to delay work until ground firmed to avoid truck tire tracks across lawn. Performed work on agreed date. Cleaned up all branches following tree trimming. This is the second time I've use this company. I've been very pleased with both experiences.

Forrest tree service was prompt to return my calls and schedule a time for an estimate. I had three other estimates and his was by far the most reasonable. Once I contacted him and accepted his offer he was out at the house with in the week to remove the tree. This was a huge maple tree that posed a danger to the house and our LP tank. They were able to cut it down and cut it up so that I could easily split it into firewood. He also raised the canopies on three other trees. They were very quick and cleaned up behind themselves nicely, you couldn’t even tell they had been in the front yard.

I got 3 estimates. Forrest's estimate was the lowest and they honored the Angie's List discount. They arrived on time and did everything we agreed to, and allowed me to add some things to their haul list. They cleaned up well and didn't leave until I was satisfied. I would recommend them and use them again.
