Enhanced Heating Cooling

They were very responsive to my call. My HVAC unit went out completely and they arrived at my house the same day I called with a complete inspection and recommendation with a new system. The receptionist, sales representative, contractors and service staff corrected all of my problems in a professional, friendly and timely manner.

I had heard good things about Alpine and decided to give them a try. I called right before lunch and asked if they could send someone out to get my air conditioning working. Alpine was willing to accommodate my schedule on a work day and showed up on time. Met with Ricky and explained the situation. Prior to coming inside, he put on some little booties so as not to bring in any unwanted dirt or dust. He evaluated the situation and explained that the drain line was stopped up and that the aux drain pan had water in it which shutdown the system. Ricky cleared the line and removed the water from the pan so that the float switch would reset. Shortly thereafter, the AC was running again and starting to cool off the house. From the initial phone call to the dispatcher to the service to the cost, and emailed receipt, I was completely satisfied. I would highly recommend Alpine HVAC Services to my friends and others. Great service both Drew and Steve were extremely knowledgeable and personable. Despite a short notice they came out late (after dinner) when my heat pump switched to heat and would not turn off. I would recommend them highly.

They did a great job. They were very professional, knew what they were doing, and gave suggestions for minimizing energy costs. I was very happy with the service.

Overall experience was excellent. We noticed that the air conditioning / cooling of our old HVAC system wasn't working when we first turned it on this year. The serviceman from Alpine determined that the refrigerant fill valve was leaking, and provided an estimate to replace the valve and the refrigerant. Since the leak had completely drained the system (it used R-22 which costs over $100 / pound), the repair was going to cost $1500 - of an old unit. It was recommended that we consider replacing the HVAC unit. The salesperson we met with was thorough and knowledgeable, and presented us a range of options to consider. He did steer us away from lower quality units to several higher quality options (all made by Amana), and we elected to go with a mid-range system. The installation was performed over 1.5 days by 2 technicians (the furnace is in the basement), and the technicians were prompt, courteous, thorough and complete. I had pretty minimal cleanup to do after they had completed the job. System is working beautifully at the 2 month mark. I would recommend them highly for their efficient service and knowledgeable advice.

Matt and Tino knew what they were doing and answered questions I asked. All tasks were completed by 4:15 pm on the same day.

Tom, the project manager was very thorough in inspecting, measuring, etc. to determine appropriate units for my home. He provided me with a number of options and went above and beyond working with me and my budget. Everything was explained to me and I felt comfortable with my choice. Tino and Matt were on time and professional with installing the unit. They answered any questions I had and made sure I was satisfied before they left. I am pleased with Alpine and would recommend to friends.

My first contact with Alpine was with the owner, David Breed. He guided me through a decision-making process in which I was initially planning to have additional coolant added to my systems in preparation for summer temperatures. Upon realizing that my previous HVAC services had simply been applying 'bandaids' over the past 8 years, David offered a detailed overview of my options. David scheduled Larry to come to my home and perform a review of my current systems. Larry's punctuality, communication and professionalism was evident immediately. After his review, he spent the necessary time to discuss my options. At no time did I feel pressured into any particular price point. Larry asked specific questions to assist me in making the best choices for me and my home. I chose Amana-brand units - one 3.5-ton and one split-system 4-ton. Laura King, the Install Coordinator, contacted me within hours of Larry's review, to schedule installation. She was pleasant, timey and professional. The crew arrived promptly as scheduled. Matt, Eddy and Jeremy were top notch!! They were professional, polite and incredibly mindful of minimizing disruption and mess. They worked steadily for 3 days in heat, humidity and dirty conditions (attic and crawl space), yet they always had a smile. They took time to explain the new systems and thermostats. This company exudes customer service. Yes, it was costly, but also an investment. Alpine sets the example others should follow from start to finish!! I could not be more pleased with the entire experience.

I would like to thank Alpine and especially Drew Krueger, the service technician, for warning us about the potential danger of the 22 year old Carrier HVAC unit that we owned. The system had a gas pack that was original to the system which had never needed service, was quietly coming apart. I have been very concerned about our unit because I have heard of their potential to leak gas and kill families when they get older. Drew Krueger showed me the seams on the gas pack (I am not totally sure about the correct terminology) were starting to split open. And I know, you know what the end result could have been. We have since replaced the unit within days of Drew's inspection. We thank God first and our thanks to Drew and Alpine for your due diligence in performing your job. We were extremely pleased with the presentation and how everything was explained in detail by Tom and Larry. The day of installation they arrived exactly on time. Matt Jones and Eddie Batista came out to put in the new system. Matt is absolutely awesome. They ran into a couple of problems with trying to fit the new system in where the old one was but Matt totally figured it out and when they finished everything looked great and worked great. They were helpful in explaining how the new system worked. We really appreciate their hard work.

The service provider, Drew, cleaned the compressor, checked the coolant level and pressure, looked at the wiring and pointed out a potential issue with pitting on the wiring a sign that the condensor is beginning to draw too many amps (unit is 18 years old). When inspecting the upstairs unit he spotted and showed mold growth beginning. So I purchase a UV light. I was expecialy pleased he spend the time explaining what he was inspecting at each step of the operation and a potential mold issue was averted.

They promised to install a new Amana Heat Pump system that had a Life time warranty on the Compressor, and the Heat Exchanger, which included Lifetime Unit replacement if necessary. They said that we would get a $200.00 rebate from Duke Power which they did. The installation went great, everything was done in a timely fashion, they clean up afterwards. We were very pleased with the service men, they kept us updated with the progress. They took time to explain how the system works and all it's benefits. I was most impressed with the salesman Tom Ashley he was very honorable and the owner I am very sorry that I do not remember his name,but they kept their word. There was a small problem with a part, but they corrected it immediately! And to me that means everything in this day and age! It is hard to find people who stand behind their word! Even though the system was very expensive it will be worth it in the long run, and I will do it again, they made it very easy to afford! I know today Christians are not looked upon with favor, but I was impressed with Tom Ashley before we started going over the different systems he prayed first! The technician spent the entire time on his cell phone. He spent an hour tuning up a brand new system because he was talking on is cell phone the entire time. When he was finished he went to his truck and was sitting in there talking on his phone. He didn't even bring up the bill until I shouted down form my porch that I have to go back to work at some point.

My old thermostat was 15 yrs. old and was not cost-effecient by any means. On a previous visit I discussed this with Drew and he provided me with valuable information regarding my heat/air costs. Drew also came out a few months ago when I had NO heat during our coldest period of winter. Within a few minutes the heat was back!!! I'm extremely satisifed with the service and professionalism that Drew exhibits.

Same service provider serviced both the furnace and the AC earlier in the year as part of their "annual tune-up". So I was surprised when I turned on the AC and warm air blew out. When I called the office, she promised to fit me in this afternoon and quoted an ETA. 30 minutes before the appointed time, I received calls from both the office and the assigned repairman letting me know that he was on his way and when to expect him to arrive. Excellent customer service! As it happens, the needed repair is not related to anything they could have prevented during the earlier tune-up.

Went wonderful and our tech was very nice and knew what he was doing.

I had several questions about the additional maintenance that was recommended and Richard was very honest and thorough with his answers. I trusted him completely as he gave me the impression that he knew what I needed and was able to do an excellent job at a reasonable price. Alpine was very fair and even offered a discount because I have a yearly contract for semi annual checkups.

Richard was very professional and thorough, He answered my questions honestly. Since our local HVAC company sold our membership to Alpine, and contract is now done, we are going to research HVAC options for future.

They came here on time. Checked evap coil condition, drain pan, float switches, blower motor, and cleaned drain line. Since the unit is 14 years old, they recommend us not wasting money to do repair, but consider to replace the unit, an honest suggestion.

They have been outstanding. They came through for me like a champ. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate them. They put in some new pipes and did some high tech work.

my wife and I bought our home in December of 2012 knowing that the a/c and furnace would be the first major replacement we needed due to the fact that the current unit was already 12+ years old. Sure enough the next year after being told by 2 companies that a new unit was needed due to the age of the unit and the cost of fixing the current unit, we decided to get both a new a/c and furnace. We gathered quotes from several companies around the area including apline. David met me at my home and was very upfront and knowledgeable about what we needed in our home, without trying to oversell me. We chose alpine to install our new system because we felt more comfortable with them rather than the other companies that we had met with. The instalation crew showed up on the scheduled date on time and ready to go. The instalation process went smooth and they did a good job of letting us know exactly what was going on. Prior to the instalation ken the service manager came to our home to do a pre instalation inspection and told us the stair access to our attic had to come out for the instal due to the size of the new furnace. The instal techs took the stairs out without any damage and instaled the new furnace. After the new system had been instaled i set up a time to put the stairs back up. The stairs were put back as scheduled and look just like it did before they were taken out. The new system is running great and David the owner has contacted me several times to follow up and insure that the new sytem is running properly and that we are happy. we are very happy with our new system and our experience with Alpine and will definalty be using them in the future for our HVAC needs

I hired Alpine to replace an older air conditioner and furnace in September of 2013. They wanted to start on a Friday and assured me that we would not be without air conditioning. Come about 6:00 PM, all of the technicians had left without telling me and I did not have air conditioning. I called the salesperson and fussed but only got a promise "to look into it". On Monday of the following week the same thing happened as they had supplied a part that did not fit their unit. Again no AC for me. Finally on about Tuesday, it was operating again. During this tie both the salesman and the owner came by and made many promises to make things right and to have someone go over the instillation to ensure that it had been done properly. I have had two call back up until 3/14/2014. One was because the thermostat stopped working properly and it was replaced. Last week they called to advertise a pre-spring tune up and I accepted. Please understand that I was trying to give them another chance to do a good job, I even asked them to check the second unit as well which they did not install. We had a oder in the kitchen which the UV apparatus should have removed so I asked the technician to check the light on 3/14/2014. The technician came back and said the there was no light installed. I checked my paper work to make sure tat I was correct and I was. The technician called his office and the UV licht was suppose to be installed. The technician was very honest. I just that the owner and his management were as well. I did thank the technician for telling me the truth but I also told him not to continue with the other unit. His superviser came and asked if they could install the UV light on Monday 3/17.2014 which I accepted. The Superviser is a new employee and seemed to be a nice person but he has a lot of work to do if he is going to clean up the messes that have been made.

Called Alpine to set up appointment for an estimate; Mike arrived right on time along with the owner, David , very professional and they took the time to explain our options. We knew we needed to address the issues in the crawl space but weren't sure where to start. Mike recommended an extremely reasonable insulation company who was in and out in less than a day after Alpine did all the hard work prepping the crawl space. Mike uncovered a potential water problem in the farthest corner of the crawl space which we were able to address prior to installing the vapor barrier. The Alpine team worked quickly but never missed a beat, sealing every vent and all the new ductwork. The installation went smoothly and represents a tremendous improvement over prior state. Our energy bill is now less than $200 a month on a regular basis and we've easily cut the monthly bill by over 30%! Mike installed a new programmable, touch screen thermostat and took his time explaining all the various functions and setting it up for us (we haven't had to touch it since). We're extremely pleased with our choice of contractors, we even signed up for Alpine's maintenance contract (and I'm not a huge believer in service contracts) but it makes sense to keep our HVAC system in good operating condition and a seasonal tune up should help protect our investment. We would highly recommend Alpine to any of our friends and neighbors.
