Overall, we're pleased with the service. When we made the first contact, the lady seemed responsive, but eventually we found out that our account was not entered into their system correctly. So, the first time someone came to do the work he was NOT the person who took the order. The person who came was very hostile and unfriendly and did not know what work needed to be done. That is the only negative experience we had with this company, and the reason we gave them a low grade for professionalism. However, the next two guys (one of them was named Dennis) who came were great. Very friendly and helpful, they arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled appointment. They explained what they were doing, they moved quickly, and were very approachable with my questions. Both pieces of work they did for us (fixing the valve assembly and cutting out the rotted pipe) were done exactly as they estimated they would be for time and what the outcome would be. They neatly cleaned up the area after their work. and the invoice came fairly quick after the work. I recommend Durham Plumbing Repair.

This is the second time we have used Durham Plumbing Repair, on both occasions to repair broken faucets and on one occasion to install a new faucet and relocate another. Each time their service was extremely prompt and both plumbers were exceptionally courteous and helpful. This is the best appliance repair company we have dealt with in a long time. We could not recommend them more highly.

We needed a garbage disposal replaced, and our home warranty co. sent Durham Plumbing Repair. Although the technician was 20 minutes late (they made an appointment, which I liked better than the "window" that some companies give), the service was excellent. He took off his shoes at the door and was very careful not to make a mess. Replaced the disposal quickly and easily, no muss no fuss, and even gave me some advice about a leaky toilet.

Very good experience. This company provided options that other plumbing companies had not suggested.

On the eve of 1/14/11, around 12 midnight, a friend and I noticed that both of my bathroom toilets had backed up and water only recessed as result of intense plunging. In addition, whenever we ran water in the tubs, both toilets would start gurgling and water in tubs had difficulty draining. Needless to say I was FRANTIC --- no bathroom use during the night. I awoke around 6:30 am and decided to find a plumber on Angie's list (first time user) which seemed opened for business at this hour. Durham Plumbing opens at 7:00 am. I called and it was a blessing that they had a morning cancellation therefore a technician was at the door by 8:30 am and job completed successfully at 9:30 am. I was so thrilled and relieved they gave the Tech a big hug! I will definitely use their service again.

Had to deal with unexpected mineral build-up in the line, but stuck with it until the job was done. Very polite, neat (took off their shoes at the front door!) and professional. Price seemed a little high at first, but given what they actually did, it was quite reasonable.

He gave good advice and was very nice.

Our shower would not work and my husband had tried to change out a valve behind the knob. The shower would still not function, no water would come out of the shower head. The plumber was young and was trying to avoid interrupting my husband while he was on a business call. He seemed to want to get the job done quickly and correctly. Fortunately, all that was wrong was a stopped up shower head which he replaced within fifteen minutes of arrival. He was not informed by his company about billing so we received the bill in the mail a week later.

I would definitely use them again. He came when he said he would and was neat about cleaning up after they were finished. The work itself was excellent.

The plumber arrived on time, and worked steadily. He spent about 90 minutes at my house and he charged me $42.50 for the new valve and $127.50 for 2 hours labor. The new shut-off valve is a much better design than the old one, and I am completely satisfied.

The plumber was punctual and did the work efficiently. He suggested that I have him install shut-off valves in the supply pipes to the basement sink, and I agreed. He did that very quickly. In addition to his flat labor fee of $85, I paid $11.05 for the pipe and the two shut-offs. I am completely satisfied with the work.

The plumber did all of the work promptly. His suggestions concerning clearing the drain and installing a new basket strainer were excellent. The quality of the work was also excellent.

We had a real mess we had and they were really good about getting to us as soon as they could. They were able to get the blockage out and everything works again. I was pleased with their work and recommend them to others.

I have all great things to say about this company. They came in did the work and was finished. They were very professional, very responsive and they came when they said they would. I can't remember the price of the whole installation at this point. I also bought the items from them.

I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN SATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICE, AND I HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR YEARS. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HONEST, AND THERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
