2nd Generation Drywall Contractor with over 30 years experience. I am one of the few maybe only Drywall Contractor that still uses a hawk & trowel which allows me to feather out joints a lot better than with the common used tool (broad knife) used today.

Fantastic!!! The room is in a 90 year-old house--nothing is plumb, even, or square. Ceiling in particular was very uneven. They made it look like new construction. The corners are so sharp that I may not even bother putting crown molding back up. Seriously impressive!!!

Tim was magnificent! I now have him in my address book. I actually had someone else hired to do the work, but that person could not get to it in the time period that we had discussed. So, I found Tim's number on Angie's list and called him the next day. He answered right off the bat AND he fit me into his schedule that same day. He came to my home, gave me a reasonable estimate and booked the job for the same day. I am still blown away about how professional and responsive he was in such a short amount of time. He came out to my home, gave me an estimate, promised to start the work the same day and DID start the work the same day. He promised to finish the work the next day. He came the next day when he said he would finished the job and cleaned up after himself! I was so grateful that he was able to do the work so quickly that I wanted to pay him without even seeing the finished product. But, he wanted me to look at it and make sure I was satisfied before I issued payment! His work was flawless. I am still amazed at the work he did in such a short and efficient time frame! He is a consummate craftsman. I am still floored! The way Tim treated me was amazing. Thank you so much Tim!
Description of Work: I was having a new bathroom put in the upstairs in my home. As a result of no bathroom being there to begin with, we had to cut out a large section of plaster in my living room wall to accommodate the running of the plumbing and electrical up to the space.

We had to have the original water valve/drain box behind the washing machine replaced recently. This involved cutting out a section of drywall so that the plumber could do what he needed to do in replacing the valve box. Once contacted, Mr. Dunn and my wife spoke and he was informed what the job would involve. He arranged a time convenient for my wife to be at the house. Tim and his brother George arrived on time the day of the repair. We are not easy to find, and both my wife and I were impressed that Tim and George arrived on time! Most people get lost and arrive a little late. Tim and George performed the repair with expertise and care. Tim reattached all the necessary water supply lines to the washing machine and washer drain hose with care, and then repositioned the washing machine toward the wall with the specifications my wife gave him. Tim and George worked quietly, efficiently, and with great teamwork. They made sure the area where they worked and had to go through the house to get to the laundry room was free of debris during and after the job. The repair is absolutely seamless. You would never know that was a repair made. I would highly recommend Dunn-Rite Drywall to anyone wanting quality work done at a reasonable price. This is a family owned and operated company and they are local to Durham, North Carolina.
