not a good fit for my needs

He was fine. I just misunderstood. He did a perfect job. Everything were great after he left. We have a Bose surround system that is supposed to go with our TV. It hadn't ever been on the remote for five years. He was very pleasant and polite. It was a one time deal, he did it and it was great. I paid additional $50 on top of the big deal. I will not use him again simply because he had to travel all the way up to Wilmington. I think that was what the 50 bucks was for. I will find somebody closer.

had a dispatch fee, reasonable in view of the distance traveled, but it wasn't mentioned in the big deal, put activity above amount I budgeted for it.

Eric was professional and knowledgeable on my audio system. I would definitely recommend him and hire him again when the need arises.

They were too far away from my home and would have needed to charge an add'l fee for travel. They did offer to try and assist by phone.

The whole process did not go well. He tried to upsell us and we did not want to spend that much money on what seemed to be a simple project.

It went fine. I was having some surround sound problems. One tech showed up to do the work, and he found that the wiring was incorrect. He fixed the problem at no additional cost.

It went great. He was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him.

I didn't have deal done based on extra costs quoted to me.

The first man I talked with said he would be coming from Durham--(30 minutes away)between 8-10 AM 12/3 At 8:30 12/3 another person called said he would be coming from Goldsboro and there will be an additional charge of $49. He changed the time to 10:30--11:30. Too many surprises for me!

The charge for travel time would exceed the value of the coupon rendering it useless to me. The company sent me an email with the following wording "First Let me share with you our company policy, we charge a trip fee of 49.99 for all customers who live an hour or more away.". When I complained that this extra fee was not on the Big Deal offer, the company responded by email with the following "Its our company policy will not be on any the offer you may see, you just live outside the the radius of our service area that's is a hour drive." When I asked for a refund, a follow up email told me to contact Angie's List. I consider this practice deceptive.

They were supposed to come out today. He then called to let me know they would not be able to come out at the time discussed. He then later said it would be an additional charge for the drive. I had cleared this with them before they came out. I don’t like surprises.

I did not go with this deal due to there being a $49.99 travel charge. Unfortunately Angie’s List would not allow the provider to add his policy on the deal.

They emailed me the following day and informed me that there would be a trip charge of $49.99 since I live an hour out of their office area. They did not have this in the fine print of the deal, so I am canceling this service with them.

Eric contacted me promptly to determine exactly what I needed and to find out details about the house and the locations of the TVs, the type of internet connection and where it entered the house in relation to the location of the TVs. Eric provided a cost estimate based on that information. We agreed an a date and time for the service call. Eric called me when he was enroute. He arrived on time. He quickly evaluated the situation and explained what he was going to do. After the install, he made sure both TVs were operating properly before he left. The bill was less than his estimate. Eric was professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend this company.

They communicated with me via email. They never came out to look at my job specifically. They said the liability risk was too high and there were going to be extra costs. They never offered to come out to look at the job or asked me any questions about the job. We won’t be working with them at this time.

Purchaser (me) advised vendor that I would raise some h*** if that was the case. Vendor interpreted that to be a negative comment about his company (it wasn't) and decided to "preach" to me. Not being in the market for religion of any type, I decided to sever relationship before it got worse.

He was unable to provide the service I wanted, however, I will use them again in the future.

I ended up asking Angie's List for a refund because the project was going to take longer than the deal offered and there would have been an additional cost I wasn't ready to pay at this time.

Eric was very accommodating with my schedule. He provided a 2 hour window when scheduling the appointment and contacted me in advance of his arrival with an ETA. He did a brief assessment of what we wanted for the project and got right to it. He was precise in determining the correct location to mount the TV and run the wires. He cut the Sheetrock perfectly, installed faceplates, and organized all the wires. What was once a maze of cords now looks neat and tidy. In testing the TV, he set up the optimal settings that we wanted, made sure everything was to our satisfaction, and cleaned up. No mess, no haggling. Eric is a professional at his craft and very knowledgable. After witnessing his skill with the TV installation, I asked his advice on a bigger project we were considering for our home. Impressed with how thoughtful he assessed our needs (again without any up selling), I just offered him the contract to complete our home theatre renovation, indoor and outdoor wires and wireless Ethernet, speaker wiring in our gym and pool room, camera system, and home office set-up. In talking with Eric, it was clear that he takes pride in his work and comes from a family of engineers and technicians - it's in his blood. If you are looking for an honest, skilled technician willing to work with your budget then I would strongly advise giving Eric a call.
