Dickerson Fencing & Landscaping

The fence was built more than 10 years ago. We had a second fence built by them at my father-in-laws. In both cases they were excellent. I contacted them in August about a taller fence, an estimator came out but I never received an estimate. The first time I called I was promised it would be sent out that night. Four other calls and was told I would receive it. Enough. I contacted another builder.

Highly recommend. Work was timely and professional. Their estimate came in at half the other recommended fencing company's, and no pressure to repair/replace any part of fence that wasn't necessary (the other company tried to convince me to do more "replacing" and less "repairing'). easy to work with, well-priced and professional.

Post installation was super fast. The fecing installation went quickly too but was not the color we ordered (we ordered the black pvc coated wire). We told them as soon as we saw it and they took out the fence and installed the correct color with no argument.

The fence looks great and is well built. Couldn't be happier with the results. However the communication and length of time it took to install the fence was less than ideal. They were quick to ask for a deposit to order materials that were to take two weeks, however over a month later we finally get to install. Granted there was bad winter weather delaying everything. I followed up with them two weeks after sending the deposit and never got a good status or the order. It was up to me to follow up continuously through the process. Finally got an estimated install date. On that date I followed up to see if we were still a go and if I needed to be there or anything and they simply indicated they would be there that day. I got home, no communication and 75% of the fence built. The next day the fence was complete, the keys left in all doors of the gate and the rest of the keys in a baggy thrown through my postbox door. No note or communication or anything until the invoice came for payment. Meanwhile this was phase 1. While we were waiting on materials I had inquired on phase 2 to fence in the rest of the yard and asked when would be a good time to get an estimate. No response. Even during the install I brought it up again. No response. Not sure if I will take phase 2 to them or not. The quality of work is awesome, so it might be worth the communication hassle.

I called to request an estimate and in 2 days I met with Jason. We discussed what I wanted and also gave me some valuable information about easements. The grade of the wood, the spacing and type of posts and type of wire were all discussed and agreed on. The work started on the agreed on date and the team was very professional. The team was here first thing in the morning and they worked hard all day long doing top quality work, no goofing around for these guys! They were careful to clean up the work area, took time to answer my questions and they never used foul language. The area is heavily wooded and we did not want large trees removed and the team was able to get a and quot;line of sightand quot; through the trees close to the property line. There was one tree that they had to go around, that was all. We have 6' privacy fence at the road side of the property with a gate for the driveway and it looks so beautiful! The rest of the fence is 5' wire and post. I am so proud of my fence. The final price was the price quoted so I was very pleased with that. My new fence now keeps the pets and kids in while keeping other animals out!! I have gotten many compliments on my new fence. I highly recommend this company to everyone.

Dickerson did a great job at a fair price. They showed up on time to provide an estimate. They were professional and courteous. They explained the work they were planning to perform, and discussed some options which would lower the price. Within 2 days of the visit, an e-mail estimate was provided. We made a down payment, and the worked was scheduled for the following week. Their crew arrived, and completed all work activities within just a few hours. They hauled away all of the damaged fencing. I was surprised at the amount of time they put into resetting the 3 gates. They did a good job for the price of the estimate. I will use their services again if needed in the future.

I called to schedule an estimate, but the first available time was two weeks away. Not for the job, just to come by for an estimate. I'm sure they're nice enough people, but this is really bad customer service.

We're impressed with them so far. They have not finished the work but so far, we were impressed. They're willing to work with me. They provided some very useful information that I hadn't even considered before.

Good experience. Owner was willing to work around my schedule. Workers worked very hard and was willing to do anything to make their work acceptable. Would recommend.

They were responsive to our request for an estimate and worked well with us on the details of our job. The workers were prompt, courteous and cleaned up well after the job was completed. We feel that we received a good value for the cost.

It was pretty expensive and he said he really didn't put up that kind of fence. He tried to encourage me to get a 3 tier fence. I looked around and didn't need 3 tiers. I was leery about that. I probably wouldn't use them, either he's too expensive or not willing to accommodate.

They had a better plan than the other landscaping companies and their prices were HALF as much. I felt he was not looking at me as a money sign or taking advantage of me. He did everything he said he would do plus a little bit more. They were very prompt with answering my questions and even came out a second time to walk the yard with me and be thorough. They were great people to work and made me feel very comfortable.

Mr. Dickerson is extremely knowledgeable and expects his workmen to perform at a high quality. However, he doesn't have the time or inclination, possibly, to do quality control throughout each project. The fence builders showed up at the site without proper instructions and, installed a sub-quality fence. Mr. Dickerson promises to make it right in the next week or so by sending out the crew to redo some areas and fine tune some of the work. He quickly agreed that the fence was not up to standard. But, wouldn't it have been better to have it done right the first time? This is an expensive project and I expected the crew to work up to a standard that I thought Dickersons was promoting. After completion of the entire project, my ratings may go up.

They called very, very quickly after I inquired about getting a fence installed. They were very professional, and the installer was great. They had to drill into the garage, and he helped me understand what they were doing and cleaned it up well. The fence looks great. I gave them a B in responsiveness solely because of some confusion of my last name and my husband's last name on the order form, but after they did get it figured out, they were right on it and there were no more delays.
