D B PAINTING

We have hired David to do interior painting in the past three houses that we have owned, which dates back ten years. We have never had a problem with any of his service, and have always been pleased with his work. We recommend him to all of our friends.

Unfortunately, he left paint splatters on my dining room table from his roller. He did not put down drop cloths over the dining room table and his roller got splatters on my table. I am still taking off little paint marks on the table over a year later. People comment about it. I would not use him again. There were problems with the caulking gaps at the ceiling. They should have been filled in but Mr. Bordon said that he only does what is on his estimate. I cannot remember to ask about everything. I was told by another painter that caulking IS part of the job but Mr. Bordon didn't do it. But I had clearly stated when I told him about the job that the caulking gaps needed to be filled. So I had to climb a ladder myself and do the caulking to fill in the gaps where the wallpaper met the ceiling. Mr. Bordon did not do any of this. After the work was done, other painters made poor comments about one wall Mr. Bordon had done. That wall should have had spackling on it due to streaks from the sheetrock tape. That part should have been done better. I have more paint work but have not hired him back because he is higher in cost than most other painters and the other problems mentioned. He did not seem interested in doing the job right, only in leaving the job as soon as possible.

David and his men did a great job. I have a large upscale home that I couldn't sell, so I've been renting it. After the prior tenants did quite a number on the walls, I had David and his crew come out and repaint the entire interior (Not ceilings) of the house. I told him that I didn't want a Picasso, just make it good for "renter quality" as I'm sure that I'll be having it repainted in another year or two. He did just that. He started the same week that I called, and was all business... no fluff... didn't feel the need to chew the fat for hours on end. For a 2500 sq foot house (and garage!) to be painted like his crew did for 1600!?!? WOW!!! And yes, that included the paint. As he was finishing the paint job, I was power washing/staining/etc and he says "I could have done that for you". Dang! I should have thought of that! I gave a B for quality because I had to ask for one prominent wall to be touched up and I had sort of asked for a B grade paint job. I also noticed some paint spots on the carpet (some didn't come out) that happened when they were painting without drop-cloths... I could have prevented that by asking. I can't vouch for whether or not they could do a "MONA LISA" quality job because I didn't ask for that quality. Thanks again David!

I have never had an experience with him that wasn't extremely professional, prompt, and reasonably priced. I am about to hire him to paint my next home, and I have recommended him to friends many times. I highly recommend David Burden as an interior painter.

David is wonderful. He is prompt, fast, and professional. I've used him several times in the last few years, and never hesitate to have him working in my home while I'm traveling. He even handled a ton of popcorn ceiling with aplomb, and is very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend him!
