Installation went great. I called for appointment and they came out a few days later to install a water shut off valve that would be easier accessed. Rufus was on time and professional. I will use this company again.

I initiated the installation of a new sink faucet and drain in an old sink, to replace an old noisy one. I ran into a problem when I found the old drain pipe had developed a perforation (only the gunk in the pipe was preventing a leak). I was unable to unsolder the old drain pipe, though pretty much everything else was done. I called Rufus to finish the job, based on the recommendations of neighbors and Angie's list. After he returned from vacation and we were able to connect, he was very responsive, responsible and cordial; called to keep me informed of his progress toward my job during the day, and he and an assistant arrived on time. Within a few minutes he had the old pipe removed. He then made two trips to plumbing suppliers to get a neoprene collar for the new drain, rather than soldering the new drain. (The first trip returned the wrong size fitting.) After about an hour for the trips, he resumed and finished the installation. The work was done neatly. The immediate area was left clean. At this point I'm happy with the installation, though I consider $200 a bit steep for 2 hours; half of which was spent getting a single fitting.

This is not the first time Rufus has come to repair plumbing at my house and it won't be the last. He was here within 1 1/2 hours of calling him at the end of the day to fix sudden leak at shut off valve to outside hose bib which I had only just opened since closing it off for winter. In the past, he has fixed leaky shower head, clogged drains, toilets, and replaced disposal in kitchen. He is good at what he does, goes out of his way to be there for his clients, charges fair prices, and educates his customers. And, he is a nice guy! I highly recommend him.

We have used him both for remodeling and repairs. Each time he arrived on time and was a pleasure to work with. We've never had any issues with the faucets, sink, or hot water heater he installed nor with any repairs he has made on other items. I cannot say the same for other plumbers we have used.

I initially contacted Rufus after some very enthusiastic reviews in a neighborhood list-serve. He arrived the same day to unclog my very clogged kitchen sink. The previous owners had done much of their own work on a major kitchen remodel, and I'd been fighting a drain which repeatedly clogged for months. Rufus and his assistant cleaned up after themselves and were polite and professional. I haven't had problems since, and he guaranteed his work. I'm not missing spending money on drain cleaners and energy plunging out the sink.

Rufus arrived as scheduled and called to let me know that he was on his way. He worked industriously to complete the job in a timely manner and did it in about two hours. The faucets look great and work well.
