Description of Work: They showed up on time and performed the job quickly and accurately. |The down side is they removed some frames and moved some furniture and left without putting things back - which for us was OK in that my wife was able to clean and dust in those areas and replace everything herself. Not a problem for us but may be for others.

Description of Work: On first floor of house, they removed all ceiling lights and fans and installed a number of new ceiling can lights, plus other new ceiling lights, along with new breakers in electric panel box so it met the electrical code and dimmers on several electrical light switches. They were friendly, professional and did a great job. I would recommend them to other customers.

It was a lot of work. The experience was very positive. He was on time and was very good. He assessed the work and had to come back the next day to do the rest of the work. He fixed everything we needed done and the price was reasonable. I would absolutely use him again.
Description of Work: I used Bryant-Durham Services to fix two broken lights and an outside fan. He fixed all kinds of broken electrical things.

On arrival, repairman spent time telling me how much he disliked the town I'm in and its politics, said he'd moved away to get away from the awful liberals here (no he obviously didn't know what my politics are). Later he referred to his wife as hysterical, as if a joke about all women. He neglected to give me an estimate upfront or tell me what he'd found and ask for authorization to proceed (yes, I should have asked, but I shouldn't have had to). The bill was roughly twice what I'd paid another company 2-3 yrs. ago to do the same work.

They have been able to solve the problem each time. I had used Weather Masters and did not get as good of service then Bryant.

I agreed to schedule the repairs for the following week so that I could be the first client on the schedule, but they double-booked the repair person. He showed up about four hours late (about 45 mins before I had to leave). Three of the four small jobs I needed addressed couldn't be fixed within the time left. If I want to have the rest of the repairs done, I will need to take another day off work and hope they actually show up on time, completely defeating the purpose of arranging to have all the jobs done in one visit. I give them a "C" because at least the one completed repair actually works now.
Description of Work: I called them to schedule an appointment to have four small repairs done (two running toilets and two leaky faucets). The repairman managed to fix one leaky toilet.

The technician who came out claimed neither thing I wanted could be done (the cable feed because of the "configuration of my attic" and the phone jack because "that box belongs to the cable company"). He still charged me about $150 for the service call. I ended up having a Time Warner technician come out, who completed both tasks and had no idea what the Bryant-Durham guy was talking about. Why do I say that I might possibly use them again? I used them for a plumbing job before and they did a good job. That said, this particular instance was really disappointing.
Description of Work: Drop a new cable feed and phone jack.

The lack of communication between the person who took my call and the plumber who made the call was very frustrating. He made an unnecessary trip, which resulted in my being billed for an extra hour of plumber time. The plumber was pleasant, informed and worked hard--no complaints! His helper was a bit of a goof-off. He allowed the plumber to work, while he watched. If I had been the plumber, I would have asked for someone else. Overall, the work was done well, and I would call them again. They should do something to insure that messages about the work are transmitted to the person who will make the call.
Description of Work: An outdoor frost proof hydrant located in my garden broke and required replacement. Bryant Durham Services had done work for me in the past, and I called them to replace the broken hydrant. Since a frost proof hydrant is not a common item on plumber's trucks, I asked the lady to be sure that they had one on the truck when they made the call. The call was not an emergency, and they scheduled the work for the following day. The responding plumber was very pleasant and knowledgeable, but did not have the required hydrant. He looked at the broken one, decided that it required a frost proof hydrant and a second person to help, and rescheduled for the following day. The next day, he came as scheduled and quickly did the required repair. The repair was very satisfactory and the unit is now functioning properly.

Company scheduled a time for an estimate. The representative did not arrive at that date and time. We called the company. They said they forgot and then sent someone an hour later. It was obvious that the person had no knowledge of how to relocate and install a new heating/air system. A month has gone by and despite our repeated calls, no estimate has been received.
Description of Work: Requested work was to install a new furnace in a new location.
