We have used Brown Brother's Plumbing for 21 yers and have always had a pleasant experience.

I would highly recommend Brown Brothers Plumbing and Heating. Brian Th. and Johnny C. from Brown Brothers came out to repair my backflow assembly for my irrigation system. They were on-time, interpersonally pleasant and professional, were clearly knowledgeable about the system and able to explain options to me in "layman's terms." They performed high-quality work in a timely manner and were overall great to work with. Five stars from me! I will definitely be using their services again...

My house was built in 1940. I have a boiler that was convert to gas. They turn out to be very reasonable price. I was surprise at the low cost and details. Very knowledgeable. Shawn explain everything to me.

They were great. They are the best. I've used them for 18 years. If there's any problems with the service I call them, they send a manager or supervisor. Maybe they have a new service guy but they are very responsive. Very polite. I highly recommend them. They have a great customer.

They have been excellent. A couple of times, there was an issue, but they did correct the problem. They do stand behind their work and because of that, I would highly recommend them.

Service man left after saying he did not have part. Told us the part he needed but never gave us a quote! Left and came back 3 hours later with part! Told us verbally repair cost which was ridiculous after installing part! Come to find out we were charged a labor charge which included him having to drive to Raleigh to get part! The 3 hours he was gone! Had no idea or we would have cancelled! Never got invoice ! I called office and they returned my call 2 days later! Very poor communication and over priced!

The repairman explained everything and went above and beyond this job.

Very well. Service was on time within stated limits. Technician was well able to diagnose and treat problems; wasted no time getting to work, took care of both problems professionally and quickly. Would have no problems with hiring again.

I couldn't get anything done over the weekend, since they thought the sewer line to the street might be clogged and would require a crew for digging. I called first thing Monday morning, and two men were here by 9:00 It turned out that all the problem was in the piping under the house in the crawl space. They worked, cheerfully, under very difficult conditions, and removed the old pipe, put in new pipe and a new clean-out, finishing up in 3 hours. What a joy it was to take a shower Monday night!

I have given up trying to contact Brown Brothers since they do not return the telephone calls.

I had been waiting 2 days without water for the company's risk management team (the company that broke the line) to take care of it and they didn't. It was getting ready to be the weekend with no water, so I called Brown Brothers at 3:30 in the afternoon and I had barely hung up the phone and they had someone out here and had the work done before 5:30. They were amazing. We used them in the past and will use them again.

They were punctual, very professional, very neat.

I think it was a bigger job than first anticipated but Brown kept the price at original estimate. Highly experienced and careful back-hoe operator had to dig around lots of cable wires. Very impressive. Reclamation and replanting of grass required a second effort but final job left it in good shape.

It went well. I have a new water heater now. The vendor was prompt and very considerate. They put booties on so they didn't track anything through the home. They were fast and it was great.

Their service is very good. They are known as the high-priced here in town.

They are very good too I mean I don't have any problems with them I really liked them, But I liked them I mean they were fine it's just that these guys have twenty four sevens service available.

The plumber was super!!! Excellent customer service. Received a call back and had a plumber at the door within 5 minutes! Very professional and reasonable!!! They are the best plumbers I've ever used.

Extremely well. The men arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently. It took them less than 20 minutes to identify and fix the problem. I will certainly call them in the future.

We (couple) were very pleased with the service provided by Alex from Brown Brothers heating and plumbing. I will happily recommend this business.

The company was contracted by the City of Durham to conduct my annual backflow. I got a letter in the mail stating that they would be there within 1-2 weeks. Due to the device not being out at the time, Brown Brothers did not perform the test (that was my fault as I didn't know the exact date to expect them). However, at no point in time did they notifiy me of this and that they did not service my back flow. They left a door hanger that just said they were here...nothing else and no indication of the what work was done or was not completed. That was some time in September. Fast forward to Nov, I get a letter from the City of Durham in Nov notifying me that my backflow either failed inspection or it was not completed. I contacted Brown Brother on Monday 09Nov to get clarification on what was going on and was told then that my backflow was not completed and that they will have the person responsible for the scheduling the backflow test to call me back to reschedule. I provided them with my contact information. I called them back on Wednesday 11 Nov as I did not hear from them and was transfer to the individual doing the scheduling. I was told that since Brown Brother already charged the City of Durham that they may not be able to reschedule due to billing issue and that I may have to pay for the additional service. How does Brown Brothers get paid for a service that did not perform in the first place and why (as a customer) was I not notify of the lack of service earlier? Overall, I believe Customer Service is horrible. The city of Durham may contract you, but I am paying for the service and I should not have to find out that the status of the test from the City of Durham. Imagine going to get your car inspected and was told it was done, but to learn that it failed from the State. That's ridiculous.

Brown Brothers was very responsive. Even though I was a new customer, they were prompt and repaired the leak to my hot water heater quickly and efficiently.

The service was good. The people on the phone were great. The guys who came to do the install were not very communicative. They did things like doing stuff with the water or just getting ready to leave without giving me a chance to talk to them and be clear about what all they were doing. When they showed up, water was spewing all over the place. So, they cut a pipe and said that is going to make it stop, but they did not tell me that I cannot use the water in the house or it will start again. Then when they came back and it was leaking, they acted as if they were disturbed by me using the water. I was like I told them that they did not say and I was not using hot water and I was using cold water. There were a couple of things like that where they did not seem interested in communicating as clearly as some providers do. There were two of them that came out. They were very prompt. They were in fact the only plumbing people I could get to come do the visit during normal work hours. Anybody who had to come after work hours which seemed to be 4 o’ clock, they were going to charge me an emergency and/or after-hours fee just to show up. It was 9 o’ clock in the morning. I was actually getting ready to leave and went in the garage. I still do not know why. I thought I had to get something before I left and I was going to be gone for several days and it was leaking. So, it was 9 o’clock in the morning and I was trying to find someone. I was able to get them. Basically, they could come as soon as they could figure out if there were 40-gallon water heaters available because that is what I had. So, they were here maybe within half-an-hour after they told me they could get the water heater I needed. It was super-fast. The price was noticeably less. It was several hundred dollars less than the estimate they gave me over the phone before they booked the appointment which was to me a big plus. They gave me an estimate and let me decide before they came out.

It was excellent. They came on time and did what they were supposed to down. The staff was fine. They were recommended by my realtor. I would call them again.

Terrible at scheduling, rude receptionist. I called them on a Tuesday, the soonest they could come over was Thursday morning, no specific time. Fine, that's understandable. I would think they'd call to let me know they were coming. On Thursday, they called and left a voicemail, and when I called them back a few minutes later they said they rescheduled my appointment because I didn't pick up. They also said they called me the day before the appointment to let me know the specific time, but of course they never called.

The repair was done satisfactorily. It was a quick visit and it was scheduled. I have called and they said they had someone in the area. They were able to do it fairly quickly. The price was average.
