Description of Work: Ars had came to my home to repair my heating/ac unit. Still was having issues with it to no fault of ars it was something that has been going on for years I had different companies come out and they were the only one who did a full check of my system to let me know what was going on and my options. I ended up purchasing a new unit have been very happy with it will use ars in the future and recommend the to friends and family.

Description of Work: ARS is a service provider for The Home Depot. I had an appointment to meet with an ARS representative. His truck broke down. He told me he would reschedule. I have never heard back.

Description of Work: Thought I had a burst pipe. Worker immediately looked elsewhere and discovered a small leak in a valve which was fixed for a third of the cost and in no time at all. They could have told me extensive work was needed and I would have accepted that. Honest, decent work from a friendly, experienced person. How about that?

Description of Work: ARS just replaced a first-level gas pack. The project manager was very helpful in describing the work and options. Overall, ARS was prompt, price-competitive, professional, and responsive to all my questions. I've used them in the past for both HVAC and plumbing with great success, and I will do so in the future.

Description of Work: Made an appointment on 9/21 for a plumber to come to our house between 3:00 and 5:00 on 9/23. The person who made the appointment told me that the plumber would call 45-60 minutes prior to arrival. When no one had arrived by 4:30, I called ARS and was assured that the plumber was on the way and would be at house within minutes. The plumber did not arrive until after 6:00 and was unable to repair the leak. He said there was a piece on the faucet that he could not loosen and that we would have to install a new faucet which would cost almost $300 plus the price of the faucet. We did not let him perform that service. They called back within two days of this report and apologized for the problems. They are giving all of our money back.

Description of Work: Replaced existing HVAC system

Description of Work: ARS performs regular maintenance on our heating and air conditioning unit. They come twice a year and are available if we need any repair in between. We have been happy with their service. It is reassuring to have your systems maintained regularly and to sometimes avoid problems.

Description of Work: We had an annual service contract with ARS and had satisfactory service for a couple of years when the only task performed was the annual inspection. Late last year we had some problems with the system and arranged a visit. The ARS technician spent no more than 10 minutes inspecting a house that has 3 HVAC systems and then informed us the component that was malfunctioning was not worth repairing but did quote what seemed a high price for that fix. He also said we should replace all the systems and pushed for us to meet with someone else to discuss the findings of the first inspection and the cost of repairs vs. replacements. The next staff person was a sales person who also made a cursory inspection and then proceeded to try to sell us hugely expensive new systems. He was very high pressure and very low on facts, did not appear to have any information from the first visit or to be at all familiar with our concerns. He could not explain why replacement of one of the HVAC systems was needed when it is less than 3 years old. The overall impression was of a company more interested in up-selling than in service or repairs. We cancelled our contract but it took several calls and months before our refund was processed. We subsequently worked with another company which did the repair at a reasonable price and reported that our older systems did not need replacement at this time. The new company also noted several things that appeared to have been damaged or left improperly from the ARS visit, although we can not conclusively confirm that.

Description of Work: replaced an outdoor faucet. It cost more than the estimate quoted on the phone and the person they se out was rude.
