Very good workmanship. Dependable, excellent job overall.

Customer service was prompt and friendly. Steve came out and looked at the job and got me a quote shortly after. This was mostly a DIY project and I ended up deciding to take a stab at roofing it myself. But I think the price quoted was fair and I was impressed by the customer service and would call them again for any future projects.

They were quick to respond to my request for a quote on their website (I can honestly say I've rarely gotten calls back when going through others' websites for estimates) and came out within a few days. Ron did notice that there were uncovered nailheads on our roof as well that we had them add to the work order; but, there was absolutely no upsell when I asked him about other things that we should consider fixing. I absolutely loved working with them and have already called them for another job.

We needed gutter repair done and they were very helpful. It was a small job, but they were honest and helpful.. We knew we needed a new roof and after the gutter repair, we knew we could trust them to do the job.. Their crew showed up on time and got right to work.. We had a brand new roof on schedule and another team came the next day to finish the gutter guards on the rest of the house.. When we're ready for siding, we will be calling them.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of American Craftsmen. And they weren't the highest bid we received. They had a large crew which was able to replace our large roof in two straight days, then the gutters the following week in one day. They were very good about cleaning up the mess after each day. I'd hire them again in an instant!

American Craftsmen was by far the best contractor I have ever worked with over my years of homeownership. From the beginning, Ron the salesman, answered every possible question I could throw at him and kept me in the loop the entire time. Just cannot say enough great things about Ron. Barry the owner was wonderful with scheduling. Because there were three separate jobs that needed to be performed in a certain order, there were three different crews that came out to my house in a two week time frame. Every person on all three crews were very professional, tidy and went over and above to make sure we were 100% satisfied with the work. I will use them again in the future and have already referred them to other people who are also using them for their projects.

It went extremely well. Steve and Ron came out to my house and gave me a quote that was very reasonable. They walked me through the entire process and answered all of my questions. The work was done in a very timely manner...within a week and a half. Every time I had questions, they responded very promptly. The guys who did the work did an excellent job. It only took them one day and they cleaned everything up before leaving, making sure to clean up any nails that might have fallen down while installing the new roof. Barry came out to do the final inspection and was great as well. The entire process could not have gone smoother. It went so well I am now having them come back to do some siding repairs. I would certainly use them again and highly recommend them for others to use.

Great! We originally started out thinking the entire roof needed to be replaced, but Steve suggested that the shingles still had a lot of useful life and repair rather than replacement was really all that was needed. This was SUPER helpful as it saved us about $5,000!

They came earlier than scheduled so that her roof would be repaired before Hurricane Irma hit. Barry used name-brand warrantied shingles, and had to redo her porch roof because it was draining back to the house, causing leaks. The crew was polite and they cleaned up the entire yard before they left each day. The price was excellent for two days of hard work, and Barry came by to make sure Mom was satisfied. He clearly cares for his customers.

Beautifully! Barry was very responsive by phone, text, or email, and we agreed on a time within a few days of the estimate. He stayed within the budget, his crew was very polite and efficient, and everything was cleaned up. There has been a couple of downpours and the gutters are working great. Also, the diverters are working very well, too. I called three contractors and Barry was the middle in cost. Very reasonable for the work done.

Once arrangements were made for the roofing replacement everything went very smoothly. All the areas of issue were addressed. They performed site care very well and made sure to clean up as they were going. Very good people to work with, but seemed that they were a little stretched as it was hard at times to get in touch with them. In the end the project went well and looks great!

They resolved my window leak and made right the previous issue i had with their service.

Wonderful. Plus they gave us a full report of what was found on the roof from a recent wind storm and also problems with the original installation (builder).

They gave a variety of household tips. They are super knowledgeable, super friendly and down to earth. My first impression was they were super approachable and very forth coming with information. I could tell he had a wide reputation, not just in roofing. The price is standard.

The company is amazing; while it took awhile for them to be able to schedule us, it being a busy time of year for them, once they got on site they boomed through it and we had a completed roof in a day and a half. They even finished on a Saturday. We LOVE the new roof, it's just gorgeous and they were so friendly and helpful.

American Craftsman did a great job in 2010 when they installed new gutters and downspouts on half of our house. We called them back out since our older gutters were constantly overflowing. My wife showed them the problem areas and asked that all the downspouts be upgraded to the larger 3"x4" size and to install gutter guards on three of the 4 gutters (the middle gutter stays clean year round practically). We scheduled the work and the first day they didn't show up. The second time they called us to see if they could come a couple days sooner but they only left a voicemail. Turns out they came anyway while we were out and our dog was loose in the yard. He is not friendly and bites strangers. They left one of our gates open and didn't replace the back downspout as we discussed....probably because that's where the dog was barking his fool head off the entire time at them. They also installed gutter guards on all of the gutters...no problem I guess. Problem is they are charging us to do the back downspout now saying it wasn't in the original quote which makes NO sense since that downspout handles the run off of TWO roofs and we specifically said THIS IS A PROBLEM AREA. Steve blames my wife saying she didn't show him that area. My wife vividly remembers walking him around the entire house and showing that downspout in particular. We explained this several times but they are standing their ground. Oh well. We won't use them again and can't really recommend them to others after this. Sorry guys.

This company is great! They made a detailed inspection of all work that needed to be done and provided many helpful suggestions. They use top-shelf, state of the art products and materials. During all work, the project managers, Randy and Steve made frequent unannounced appearances and checked the quality of all work being done. They are great communicators and committed to good old-fashioned craftsman approach to all work done. They are the best contractors that I have ever worked with. Indeed, I have to have more work done on my house and I called them and no others. I highly recommend this company and its employees. They are just what most of us seniors expect and were used to 40 years ago.

I had noticed a small leak coming from the roof. I called to see if the leak could be temporarily fixed, and to get an estimate on a new roof and gutter guards. The company was more responsive than the other companies I called about the leak. The consultant quickly came to look at the roof and see if anything could be done as a temporary measure until the re-roofing working was scheduled. Originally he thought he might need to put a tarp over the leak until the new roof was done. But, once up on the roof, he saw no obvious areas where the leak came from. He thought it might be coming from around the chimney, and added some new flashing temporarily around it. He charged $150 for that. He did an estimate for the new roof in a later appointment ($5,880). The estimate process took way too long and the bid was high. When I decided to use another company, the consultant lacked professionalism, contacting me more than once to try to change my mind.

From estimate to final inspection, American Craftsmen were a pleasure to work with. Work was scheduled to suit our time frame and once scheduled we could expect that workmen would arrive as planned. American Craftsmen and their workers were punctual, professional, knowledgable, and cleaned up after work each day. All work done, including finish work, exceeded our expectations. What I really like about American Craftsmen is that they make sure the work is done as if our home is theirs. They were amazingly responsive, especially to our requests and in dealing with the small issues that can be expected to arise in a job of this scope.
