I ok'd them to do the work while I was at work myself. came home, to see that all the holes in the shingles that I had noticed had been filled and gutters cleaned, and nothing was sticking out exposed. They did everything they said they'd do, and left everything very clean, no mess at all. Don't know about the price since they're the only one's I called due to being well reviewed, but the guy who came out to look at my roof, told me the roof was in good shape and really the roof tune up would be plenty. Also looked at the siding and told me it was in great shape and not to do anything rather than try to sell me something I didn't need.

They did a great job. They cleaned up after the job was done. They were all professional and I could ask anyone of the workers a question and get an answer. They were on time and finished the job as promised.

Everyone I met was very friendly and responsive. The roof looks great. We had a couple of hiccups. The roofers trampled my tender young perennials coming up around the house. There was no effort at all to protect them. The trim on the front peak was ripped and I had to call and ask them to repair it. The house was built in 1938 so it would have been impossible to replace it. I rated professionalism a B because of these two things, not because of their behavior. I really like these guys and the roof does look terrific. I would definitely recommend them to others.

I received a quote from American Craftsmen for roof and siding replacement. They were on time for their quote appointment and were courteous enough. I mentioned that I had an insurance claim that I wanted to fulfill. They did not ask what the claim amount was which in my opinion was professional. I do think that their pricing was a bit higher than other quotes I received. The siding pricing did not seem very solid because the representative indicated that there may be additional savings to be had since the rep for the siding manufacturer might have had additional discounts available. It would have been nice to know what those were as it certainly could have influenced my decision. At the end of the day I went with another vendor due to pricing and the impressions of the other vendor.

Great service. Rodney is a wonderful person as well as a very knowledgeable roofer. I have trusted him for years to tell me the right things to do with the roof and gutters, and am very satisfied.

They seemed like a professional company. He seemed like he knew what he was talking about.

They came out to our house and explained what our options were. They gave us an estimate and an approximate date for completion. They came in slightly under the estimate and on time! We had a problem with the locks on the doors a few months after they were installed and they came out the day after we called, fixed it, and apologized for the inconvenience.

I had all of my windows replaced along with a very trick double door. They came back and adjusted the door so that it closed easily with a tight seal. I then had them come back and tune up my roof as well as replace the ridge vent. I have had problems with a leak for several years and had other workmen repair it but they never got to the root of the problem which was a damaged pipe boot.I would definitely use them again and would feel comfortable referring friends and family.ad

I found them on Angie's List and they really took pride in their craftsmanship. It did not take them long to get the job done; it only took two-and-one-half days. They did excellent work as far as I can see and I will use them again in the future.

We had a roof leak that ended up leaving mold the interior portion of our attic that the roof was covering. They were planning to fix the exterior, but that would’ve left the mold inside. Another company suggested to replace the entire area of the roof, which would solve the mold problem also, so we went with that company. American Craftsmen also weren’t clear in their communication to us as to when they were going to provide us with the quotes. That happened again when we had gotten their proposal. I had to keep contacting them to find this out, so the lack in communication was frustrating.

An excellent experience. Mr. Turner first met with us and1. Made suggestions as to the best materials for the job, 2. Submitted a bid making sure we understood all of the materials and conditions of the bid 3. Gave us an estimated starting time 4. Met with us and the roofer to be sure we all understood what would be done 5. arranged the delivery and placement of the building materials on the site 6. checked with the roofer when work began and periodically while the work was being done and after it was completed and 7. met with us to go over the final bill to be sure we understood the bill and to see if we had any problems with the work or the bill. During the entire process, Mr. Turner contacted us during each stage of the process, communication was excellent. In summary, he did what he promised and did what he said he would do when he said he would do it

The job was completed professionally and quickly. I'm happy with the work that was done. I give them an 'A' overall. I have no problems with the actual work. However getting a quote was an interesting story. I put in a request on the website for a quote and the first guy that contacted me scheduled a meeting but he never showed up, I called and left a voice mail and it took him well over a week to call me back. Before he called me back another guy contacted me and offered to give me a quote and I didn't realize it was from the same company because I had requested quotes from 3 companies and I got them mixed up. That guy showed up when he was scheduled to. Before the date when the second guy was scheduled to show up, the first guy called me back and apologized, he said his kid was sick and asked if I still wanted a quote. At this point I hadn't realized those two were from the same company and I still wanted 3 quotes so I said ok. He came by when I wasn't at home and left the quote with my roommate on the day before the second guy was scheduled to show up. When the second guy showed up the next morning to give me his quote we discussed options and I liked the quote we ended up with the best of the 3, so I went ahead and signed up with him. It was after this that I realized they were from the same company, which doesn't really matter, I just thought it was weird. The third company never contacted me I guess. When I signed up the guy told me it would probably be in a month or so, but then a day or two later he called me and said they were ready to start. I'm guessing someone else cancelled or something. I was happy to get it done so that was cool. The first day they scheduled it for it was raining so the put it off until the next day, I was worried that they wouldn't come the next day because it would be the day before Christmas Eve, but they came and did a great job. A week or so later they came back to do the gutters (or rather I think they contracted that out to someone else). All in all the work was completed way sooner than I had expected. Overall I'm very pleased, I just knocked off a couple points in the punctuality and responsiveness categories for the first guy who didn't show up and didn't answer his phone or respond to my voicemail.

Excellent experience with this company and would recommend them to anyone who needs roofing and/or gutter work done.

The quality of the windows is first-rate. They are almost invisible on the house, showing off the house's lovely paned windows. What is even better is that my house has never been warmer with less use of the furnace! Earlier this year they had replaced all of my gutters and I am also very satisfied with that work. They are a good company to work with. I recommend them most highly.

From start to finish we could not be happier with the product, price and service. Job turned out better than we expected at a price thousands less than some other companies. Would recommend this company to anyone. By the way they did not ask for any payment until the job was complete and we had several days to inspect the work. They do business right.

It was very easy to set up an appointment. Steve arrived on time and was polite and professional. They seem to carry a good quality window but at this time replacement windows is just more than I want to spend on this project this year so I will be seeking sill repair/replacement instead but will certainly consider using this company when I am ready to do replacement in a year or two.

I paid almost $500 for a roof tune-up. It seemed a little steep, and there was a much better deal offered by another company on Angie's list, but the ratings for American Craftsman were very high on Angie's list. I had thought that the tune-up was scheduled for the 10:00 to 12:00 time frame. I might have misunderstood or misnoted by communications. At 12:00 I called to cancel the job because I had to leave. Kevin came and did the work anyway. I talked to Kevin, who did the work, and he described a good job. He said he found and fixed the boot around the vent that we had thought was leaking; he fixed a couple of high nails; a hole in a shingle on the ridge, did some recaulking etc. But I was frustrated at not being able to talk with him while he was there and at waiting for someone who didn't show up when I expected him and didn't call me where I was (at home), and at a job being done that I had tried to cancel. I wrote to Rodney on October 10, telling his I wasn't happy, but I go no response except the bill. I paid the bill. After I made a complaint here on Angie's list, I got a call from Rodney and we were able to work out the issues. It's possible that I misunderstood the time window I had been given, and my email had gotten lost on Rodney's system. Rodney had been ill that week. In any case, Rodney was able to make it up to me with a substantial discount on the work.

We had a leak around a vent pipe boot and he repaired the leak as well as checked and resealed all of the vent boots.

This is one HONEST company We thought we needed a new roof, for sure. They told us we most definitely did not and made minor repair. Awesome.

Workers all arrived on time; the person in charge walked the property with me and we discussed all issues and needs; they got right to work and finished the entire job in one day. The cleanup was excellent....if not for the new windows you would not have known they were there! Would use these people anytime.

They are just as good as everyone says they are: They arrived promptly, worked incredibly hard all day long in searing 102-degree heat, and did great work. We were impressed for sure.

Very responsive, and prompt. A little careful to make a 100% schedule commitment, but was honest and upfront.
