I am satisfied with Bill's visit and his proposal. I will contact Aluminum Company of NC the next time I need similar work.

Aluminum Company of North Carolina replaced our siding and roof several years back and we were very pleased with their work. When we decided to replace our windows, we contracted with them again. They replaced 17 double-hung windows and two large picture windows. Prior to calling for a quote, we visited their showroom, along with the showroom for another company. There was no comparison. Aluminum Company's showroom had plenty of items on display, showing the different styles and colors of available windows and doors. We were greeted immediately upon entering by the receptionist and a sales person. The sales person was very friendly and did not give us any aggressive sales pitch. Also, the owner came out and personally greeted us. The 'other showroom' had only three windows, all white, and no one assisted us. After the windows were delivered to Aluminum Company, an installation date was set up (to occur within one week of delivery). During installation, there was a problem with two windows. As a result, the two windows had to be reordered and another installation date was needed. This was done, and after another two weeks or so, the two new windows were received and installed. We are very pleased with the professionalism of Aluminum Company in general and the workmanship and professionalism of Chris and the rest of the installation crew. They did a great job and made sure the whole area was cleaned up when they were done. If there hadn't been a problem with the two windows that wouldn't fit, the whole job would probably have been done in one day. Now, thanks to the Aluminum Company of North Carolina, the exterior of our house is virtually maintenance-free. They have become our 'home improvement specialists', and if we have any future home improvement plans, they will be the ones we will call.

Our roof needed new shingles, and woodpeckers had begun destroying our old Masonite siding, which was beginning to look in need of painting (again). We did not like the look of vinyl siding, so we decided to go with Hardie-plank. This led us to the Aluminum Company of North Carolina. At the time, we weren't members of Angie's list, so we relied on the Internet to choose this company. From the start, we were very pleased with the company. The sales person and estimator (Dallas) was very professional and did not give us any high pressure sales tactics. He went over the different products and helped us choose the best for our situation. We gave him our ideas on several colors, and he delivered samples of each product in our chosen colors; we were able to nail the products on our house to see how the colors would look and to help in making our choice. Due to the size of the job, installation took one day for the shingles and four days for the siding. We were not required to be at home for the work, but we were called in one time to let someone into the house for some work that was necessary for the roofing. Installation was very professional. The crews were very fast, and we were very pleased with the results. They 'tidied up' at the end of every day to make sure that rain or wind overnight would not cause any damage. At the end of the installation, everything was cleaned up. They also did a very good job of making sure that all trash and nails were picked up. We did have one glitch, though, but we felt that it was resolved acceptably. On the last day, my wife had to stay home due to the fact that we could not board our dog. She called me at work, very angry, saying that the work crew was not done, but that they were packing up to leave and go to another job. I called the company and talked to the receptionist. Within 15 minutes, the owner of the company had called me back at work to explain that it was a misunderstanding, and that the work crew was remaining at our house to finish the job. The owner apologized about the mistake. We are very pleased with the Aluminum Company of North Carolina's professionalism and workmanship, and plan on using them for all of our home improvement needs in the future.

while the sales rep was a very nice person the rest of the work was objectionable. The gutters while were installed (including the gutter helmet) correctly, small additional work in contract, had to be completed at another visit by the crew. Although I thought the crew cleaned up after themselves, i found the long old,gutter nails were just thrown down on the ground. Small issue but annoying. window trims were not done on time and had 3 visit to correct errors and make windows acceptable. The also tore down two window frames with mosquito netting that was not reinstalled or explained what they are planning to do just left it on the ground and left. I have received at least a dozen calls from different crews at all time of the day with issues while at work about scheduling and cancelling the work , at not a small inconvenience for me. In the final analysis, it is probably a reputable company but their price you must very carefully negotiate as it appears that they over estimate by a good 25-30% on the work to be done. For my troubles they gave me 15% off, which I accepted just to conclude my dealings with them. .

Slow response. Refused to do the job or even provide a quote.

They did an excellent job, all the people were really nice from the sales person and the project manager and the people who did the work. They explained things and any questions or concerns I had they answered them . And they took care of a lot of small details because they wanted me to be totally satisfied.

The sales rep was very professional. The installer was on time and was very conscientious. They took every bit of trash with them when they left. After the windows were in they came by to make sure I was satisfied with the job. The windows have been in place for four years without any problems. They look as good as they did four years ago.

Would use them again and will be using them this year for the roof.

We have used them a number of times over the years. They always do a good job and there is a lot of integrity in the business.

They came on time and arrived with a great crew. These were very large, heavy, panes of glass. The old windows had to be removed and the new ones installed while standing on ladders. They had to hand carry the windows in and out. Nothing was dropped and everything went according to plan. They cleaned up before they left. They did an amazing job! Seemed very routine for them. Very professional!!! So glad we chose the Aluminum Company of North Carolina!

Very good. They communicated well and arrived right on time. A portion of the work (the small siding issue) could be considered warranty work from a job they did for us probably around 10 years ago, so they did honor their commitment to back up their work.

I called the Aluminum Co. of NC and provided my contact information regarding a request for an estimate for gutter replacement. The receptionist stated that a salesman would contact me. I was contacted two days later and the next available appointment the salesman had was four days later- 2:00 on Friday. I adjusted my schedule at work to ensure that I was available at my home at the time of the appointment. The salesman called me at 1:15 to say that something came up and he would have to cancel. The next available appointment he had was the following Wednesday. I asked him if the Aluminum Co. of NC was too busy for such a small job. He insisted they were not but they were busy. I conveyed that I felt Wednesday was too far in the future and I was leary about contracting with them. The salesman said he would call me on Monday to reschedule. He never called. .

I told the salesperson that four sections of sofft and fascia board needed replacing. The salesperson said that it was actually a MUCH bigger job because the rafter tails would also need repair (sistering on new tails) for a total of about $2000. I asked how much it would cost if it turned out that the rafter tails did not need repair. He wouldn't say assuring me that they most certainly did need replacing. We also agreed to do cleaning and flashing of the gutters for another $500. After agreeing on that amount, he pulled out his calculator to add sales tax on the entire amount. When i questioned adding sales tax on the labor, he calculated tax for half the amount (presumably a bad guess at the part of the cost due to materials). So the subcontractors called me to arrange dates. Tuesday the gutters come down, Wed another crew does the carpentry, and then sometime the gutters go back up. On Tuesday, the CARPENTERS arrive and get to work. I called the office to see what was going on. Confusion; we agree not to do the gutters after all. The carpenters seem very good, but they say the rafter tails are fine and need no work, they put the new fascia right over the existing rafter tails. I have to call the office again to get the cost of the rafter tail repair adjusted (which I was led to believe was the main part of the 2000 job). I'm told that the cost is $110! About 5% of the cost of the job! Finally when the office person came out to collect, she said "I hope you are satisfied with the "compensation" we've given you for your trouble". The "compensation' she meant was the $500 for the gutter job the second subcontractor was to do--of course that work was never done at all because the carpenters arrived first. So the subcontractor who did show up seems to have done good work, but the general contractor, the Aluminum Company completely botched this. I'm also not at all sure that i was fairly treated on the rafter tail repair that was never done. Update 4-17-2013 The owner, Jeff Monsein called me. We might be able to resolve this. I'll post again if that happens. Update 5-6-2013 The final cost has been adjusted fairly. The owner was concerned to make things right.

Throughout the entire process we were extremely pleased with this company. They worked with us in catering to our needs. We could rely on updates as to when the work would be started. It was started as quoted and finished in the time period. The workers-George and Kenny were a pleasure to have on our property and were very patient with my dog and attentive to him. They cleaned up the property upon leaving. We are very happy with our experience and would ask them back to do other work for us.

Was completed in a timely and professional manner. Worked with us to coordinate gutter/downspout removal and replacement with painting of house by another contractor.

This review of Aluminum Co of North Carolina focuses on their lifetime warranty. Simply put, yes it is for real. We had vinyl siding install on our two story house by Aluminum Co of North Carolina many, many years ago (I think it was between 15 and 20 years ago). It still looks great, except one small piece of molding around on the second floor window came loose. I called them, and they had a man out in about a week. He inspected it carefully, repair slight damage and replaced the piece that was loose. No questions, no charges, just great service on the warranty.

Not impressed at all with person sent to do the estimate. Asked very few questions of us, and answered our questions vaguely. The price he came up with was 20% highere than other estimates using similar materials. His written estimate consisted of writing the number on the back of his business card. Worst of all, he did not follow through with calling me back to tell me if the price would change if we altered the project with a different kind of door.

The meeting to nail down the specifics of the work went well. They did not ask for a penney up front (many others did since they have to order materials from an independent supplier for each job). All communication was professsional and prompt. They started the work about three weeks after we signed a contract (seems pretty standard in that metal roofers measure, order the metal and then have to wait for the manufacturer to deliver). This was fine with us. The only thing that was not clear in the work was how long it would take. Initially they said one day, then it stretched to two. In the end they had to come back a week later as a piece was missing. In the scheme of things, none of this was a big issue; it was just the not knowing. They did call at each point to update me on what was going on. Then end product met my expectations (a new porch roof can only be so exciting:-) The roof look great. The site was cleaned up. The crew that did the instalation was curteous and worked until dark. The work appears to have been done well. The repair they made on my gable was also done well. I have no complaints. Curiously, it's been 2 weeks and I have not been billed yet.

The Aluminum Co. of North Carolina Inc. are great. I recommend them all together. They are a little pricey.

Arrived on time, completed work in less than 2 hours.. These guys knew exactly what they were to do, they did it, and they cleared out. Also cleaned up after themselves.

I had vinyl siding put over existing masonite, a new roof put on, and new windows installed.. Fast estimate, punctual. The different group of workers were on time, cleaned up after themselves. Extremely well organized company. Made some changes at the last moment and they had no problem making the changes and additions. I wish all companies offered this great service experience. Hav suggested to friends who also hired the company for a new roof. PS - they even washed the windows after installing them That's what I call excellent customer service! I also got a a follow up to make sure I was happy with all that was done. And the workmen showed up with all equipment and supplies. They arrived at the time agreed on and finished on time. Great job!

*LOVE* these guys. Their estimate wasn't the very lowest we received, but we went with them because they don't outsource their work to no-name contractors or large organizations (they are accountable for what they do) and the products come with an unbelieveable warranty - they will come replace the windows or glass if their are problems with seals or the glass is ever broken, even if WE break it with a flying rock from the lawnmower etc)....so I thought it was worth the very little extra to get that gaurantee. Salesman came to our home and gave us a great demo (with actual window we could play with and try out) - helped us pick color, took measurements etc. Did not feel that he was at all pushy, and he was tolerant of our 2 and 4 yr olds running all over the place and asking him questions during the meeting. Items had to be special ordered (odd sizes), but they scheduled delivery/installation fairly quickly (within 2 weeks?), in time for Christmas before relatives came. I was not present for the installation (husband was home) - but he was VERY impressed by the father-son team that installed it. (Actually so much so, that he said he would love to work with them). They were fast/efficient, hauled away the old/broken windows/doors, and left the area spotless. The woodwork around the window was beautifully installed as well (our dogs had chewed up the previous moulding when they were puppies). I was under the impression that the woodwork would be unfinished and that I would have to paint it, but that was not the case - it was white/flawless and beautiful - I haven't had to touch it. SO glad I went with this company - would definitely work with them again (and we plan on using them to replace the rest of the windows in our home as we can afford to do so).

Process went well. They were timely, cleaned up each day and went out of way to ensure I was pleased with work before asking for any money. Great experience.

They did a great job. They might not be the cheapest, but it's worth it. Their employees are very polite and tried to impact us as little as possible. It was done in a very timely manner. The reason I picked them, was that they did work for my parents and their quote came in under and they actually got a refund for the difference!

Couldn't have asked for better service! Jeff and his team are on the ball, making and meeting the set appts, provding repeated and clear information, and always willing to work with the customer. Even more impressive is the followup. We had a problem with the lock on one of the doors shortly after it was installed, and they immediately fixed it. They are a little more expensive than other companies, but you get the service you pay for. You can probably save a little money going with other companies, but I wouldn't expect to get this same quality that we got from Aluminum Company.
