Agape Lawn Company and Greenway Irrigation

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were fine. There were no extra charges. The price was very reasonable. I'm not sure if they did it every time in the arena where they were supposed to but they got it done and I recognized the fact that it got done and it was to help my lawn so it was what it was. I'm more of a communications guy. I don't do the text thing. I'm an older fellow so I like to talk to people and they don't want to operate the thing that way. It's all text and email and that's all frustrating to me but that's my problem.

I contacted this company on a neighbors referral. I was looking for service for lawn care. brent did come out and look at my yard initially and gave me a quote on the yard for weed and feed and shrub and tree spraying. after telling me how bad all the other companies are I went with this company my services. Big mistake. To make a long story short they missed my first appointment and had to do a free service. when they did show in early April they sprayed the lawn and left. I did not hear from them for another two and a half months after that. I called multiple times to find out why my yard was not being taken care of and got no response. Finally I received an email from Brent who told me he was on vacation in India! Apparently he had not told anyone else to take care of my service while he was gone. He told me to call another person at the company and when I did this they seemed put out and told me to just wait for Brent to get back. When Brent came back he set up a lawn spray and shrub treatment. He did come out to provide these services but this was almost three months late now. After this service I never heard from them again. After waiting six months now and only getting two sprays instead of six I texted Brent to stop my service. At this time I got my first bill (six months later!!). In the bill he did not want to charge me the agreed price but had charged me the original quote amount that I told him was too high. At this time I would not recommend this company to anyone. My lawn looks horrible and is covered in weeds and I wasted an entire season of lawn care on this company. Buyer beware!

Price was very competitive, much better than high bids. Service was exceptional. All Agape personnel were helpful, courteous, and accomplished the work in a timely fashion. Strongly recommend.

I purchased the big deal from Angie's List. They came out and looked at everything. They were punctual. They sent me images of what the plan would look like. The only thing they didn't do was send me an estimate, they told me they are going to but they did not send me an estimate.

The service I got from Agape Lawn Company went very well. I did have to have them retreat twice, because whatever they did didn't work very well. But they were happy to come re-treat and they took care of it. I was also surprised because I had expected them to give me a quote on continuing service and they didn't.

It was fine, he was very pleasant to work with; they came out and evaluated our landscaping, they gave me ideas of what we needed to be done for the summer season and on how to improve the landscaping that we have.

They charged the amount that they said they would. They were very good about keeping in touch with the customer when they were coming out, they did excellent work, they were polite and they came out on time.

As far as we know it went well. We were on vacation when they came out. The hedges and trees were trimmed well and I am assuming they came out every week, as organized, to mow the lawns and trim the edges - well, we didn't get a nasty letter from the HOA to say that our grass was overgrown. All good :)

Brent came out to give us an estimate and sketch a design. Once we scheduled the work, the crew came out, confirmed the layout, and got the work done in a few days. They also brought in a load of soil to blend the end of the patio into the rest of the yard. It was seeded and the grass is growing well. We love our new patio!

They were courteous and on time. They were thorough. I would not use them again for the same service.

The first email response was not the plan I was expecting but a list of all the other services the company could provide and how much they would cost. Was not happy the first thing I received was how I could spend more money without having received what I had paid for. The 3D plans turned out to be pictures of my yard which had been Photoshop'ed with a grass pattern where there was none and some flowers and bushes pasted in. Calling these plans is a little generous and are more of an artists depiction of how things could look.

Thought there would be some creativity and design for this property ; however, that did not happen.

Completed in an excellent manner. When problems with weather occurred they kept me well informed.

Brent was easy to talk to and they were always on time. The end result was good.

I could have fed the dimensions of my backyard into a 3d graphics program, put a bunch of plants in it and printed a rendering of "here is what it could look like" and it wouldn't have cost me $99.

They have done my lawn 6 times so far. They come early in the morning and stay about an hour. They have done an excellent job and I am very pleased. The cost for each visit is $50, which is very reasonable compared with other companies that I have used. Brent, the head of the company, is also friendly, efficient, and completes the work in a timely fashion. I recommend them highly. This review repeats my prior reviews, but I will change its content when warranted.

Based on a good job raking my yard and cleaning up debris, I hired Agape Lawn Company to trim the hedges flanking my front walkway and to do some minor landscaping. They placed mulch under the shrubbery and edged the walkway and drive. My home looked great for the Christmas holidays.

Review #1 Grade A In October, 2012, I bought a $59.00 coupon to have,y leaves raked and debris collected. They did an excellent job! My yard looked neat and attractive. They placed the debris on the street. However, they misunderstood the day/ time that the city would collect and the debris was on the street longer than I would like. But They came back in a week or so because I hired them for another job. At that time, they took care of the debris and cleaned up after the gutter guys who mysteriously left their debris in my yard the day before. I was so pleased with Agape Lawn Company that I have engaged them bi- weekly to cut our grass during the summer.

We'd been debating doing a major design in our backyard. We have dogs who like to dig and big trees that shed lots of leaves. It's also very shady, so grass doesn't grow. We had some basic ideas, and Brent was able to flesh them out and expand on them. He made recommendations for plants that would thrive in our backyard, and his suggestions for ground cover were well thought out. He's a very nice guy and easy to work with, and the result looks terrific. Our only negative is that on one occasion, he forgot an appointment and that was as wasted morning for us. And along the same lines, we had to prompt him for answers to questions we'd already emailed him. So we'd recommend Agape with the caveat that you may need to stay on top of Brent just a bit.

Things went very well. Brent gave us a very fair deal and I provided some of my own labor. We installed about 7 leyland cypress trees and 3 crape myrtles. We also put in about 15 rose bushes and mulched the entire area with pine straw. We also added about 5 yards of decorative stone to cover a drainage issue I was having. The drainage issue is no longer a problem and the trees look great. Took a lot of watering due to the time of year I did the project but overall I'm very pleased with the results. Brent is a very hard worker and pleasure to do business with. Was a lot of hard work but I know it would have cost a lot more with other companies. I'd highly recommend Agape. Thanks! Nick

My yard was a weed infested place. The first treatment was a weed killer. He did not do the sides or back saying it would destroy what green erosion prevention I had. The first treatment pretty much wiped out large chunks of my front yard, confirming what he had said about the sides and back. The remaining treatments were done as schedule but I was never able to replant grass so that his treatments had something to work with. For me, there was no positive return on my purchase but I did get quick responses from them whenever I called with a question.

This company is responsive and they do a good job. They do all the things we agreed on.
