Agape Lawn Company and Greenway Irrigation

I was disappointed that my emails and phone call request to further this project went unanswered. If a company is too busy or not interested in a project, as a courtesy, take the time to let the customer know. We hired another company.

Work was fine. Brent wasnt. Sent an estimate after sam was out & we agreed on price. Brent 'left out', one thing & on day they were to come, sent a revised price that i had told sam i wasnt interested in. Wanted them to come & wrote back guess it was ok, but after i contacted Brent about the secong revised price , he didnt care & said the on line final quote was the real one. No offer to negociate price as he had made a mistake & they didnt honor the original verbal quote & first on line quote. I said i wasnt going to fight with them,but would never use them again for anything, he really didnt care. I would not deal with them again, and learned a lesson about on site verbal only quotes. Bad business practice.

This is the second time I've used Agape for this service. It went just like last time - they showed up and did a great job without me even needing to be there. I'll be calling again next year!

Greenway was great to work with. They answered my call right away and came within a couple of days. They had difficulty locating the solenoid/valve for the zone that was broken as we have 15 zones. Turns out they had installed our system and had a drawing at the office. They came back out and the solenoid they needed to find was in the very back of our yard. Once they found it, they fixed it within an hour. Very professional, very nice guys who worked on the system.

We are looking to have an irrigation system installed and called Agape based on the high rating here on Angie's List. They promptly returned our call and sent a rep to our house on Thursday. The rep listened to our request, took some pictures and measurements and said that we would have a quote by the following Monday. Monday came and went without any communication so we called on Wednesday and were told that something must have gotten misplaced and that they would get right on it. Five days later and we still do not have a quote. Apparently they don't want our business.

Agape was recommended to me by a neighbor. For $99 they will draw a plan for your landscaping. Will came out, drew up a design, and I decided to go with their design. In May the beds were put in and plants planted. I had to reject a number of plants due to poor quality therefore having less plants but at least the beds were done. Due to not having the plants, Tommy made a trip to a local nursery to purchase a plant. He was very defensive about the plants in general but I ignored it at the time so they could just do the beds with what they had and I would plant the rest myself. This is not my first yard--my first yard was 30 years ago. The guys were nice, did their jobs, and the beds were prepared. Fast forward 4 months-9/16--the plant from the local nursery dies and I call Agape for the receipt so I can return the plant. Keep in mind that all I wanted was a copy of the receipt. Tommy argued with me that they only have a 90 day warranty. Most nurseries will guarantee plants for a year--I just wanted a copy of the receipt so I could return it. I did not ask them to dig it up, replant one, etc. I was willing to take care of it myself. Tommy got very defensive again, was rude and actually talked over me during our phone conversation. I was nice to him and reminded him numerous times that I was a client and maybe he should think about how he was speaking and talking over me. Finally I just asked him to stop. All I wanted from the beginning was a copy of the receipt and to please email me one. At this point I was done. I think Will did a great job with his design. He was nice, easy to work with, and very professional. The guys did a great job putting in plants and beds. They too were nice. I will not use Agape again because of Tommy and his attitude. He was very unprofessional and abrasive. No need for that in anyone's life when there are many businesses around to hire that want the jobs. I know of a few in my neighborhood that will not use them again either. Unfortunate for them in that this neighborhood is new and it would be a great place to show their talent. I will say that this is the first time I have had to write up someone from Angie's list that did a bad job. I depend on this site and until now have had great success. I just used a tile business this week that i got from here and they were excellent.

Not well. I left two voice messages over several days. Both the website and the voice greeting indicated that Agape was open. I never received a return call. I understand if they are unable to take new clients but I expected the courtesy of a return call if that was the case, especially for an Angie's List Super Server Award winner.

Perfect work. They were easy to schedule with and performed the work in a timely manner.

Spring clean up was awesome and they are continuing to care for my yard weekly. Everything stays neat and clean. My weeds are under control.

Great. I would highly recommend them. Brent (the owner) was wonderful to work with. He was patient with me when I emailed numerous times asking about what we should do with our lawn. He went above and beyond what I expected. He and his crew definitely exceeded my expectations. He also did it all for a VERY reasonable price.

I have not had the cleaning completed yet. I had to postpone due to being out of town.

Amazing group of people. They showed up early and went to town on my house. It was done very quickly and professionally and the crew was incredibly nice. We have tall gutters as well (2nd story with a walk out basement) and they cheerfully took care of every issue.

As the new home owner, this was the first check-up I had performed on our existing lawn irrigation. We had some back-and-forth with scheduling, but the team was always very responsive and accommodating. The technician performed the check-up, made some adjustments and made me comfortable with their analysis and recommendations. I was pleased with the results. I had confidence in the technician's analysis and recommendations.

Agape returned my call and send me an estimate for the extra work. It was very reasonable so we had both the gutters cleaned and the entire house washed on the same day. It went very well.

Lack of good communication. Always through email, never came out to meet with me.

This was a very easy company to work with. After an initial email glitch the owner Brent emailed me when the team would come out. Our riding tractor had broken and the lawn was about a foot tall. They came out and had to mow it three times to get the job done. The also did all the weed whacking, weeded two flower beds and trimmed our boxwoods. The yard once again looks great. They were very dedicated.

They were on time and efficient. They also blew the debris from the gutters off of the sidewalks and even removed pine straw that had accumulated beside my house that was already there before gutters were cleaned. Excellent service and price.

This went ok. It wasn’t what we expected because we were thinking about changes in the back yard and correcting some issues we got with water flowing through the back yard. The price they came up with was pretty extreme out of our budget so we didn’t go any further than that. He was very knowledgeable about his work.

Awesome! Bought the coupon on Monday and the work was done on Thursday by 1pm. Hector was very nice and explained all that he had done and any areas that were clogged. Site was cleaned up and I couldn't even tell they had been there. Would hire again!

I don't think I followed up on their proposal. I just thought the proposal was extensive.
