About
Local Knowledge, Global Perspective.
As an MBA with real estate development and construction experience, I provide my clients with insight and services well beyond those offered by the traditional real estate agent. In addition to guiding buyers and sellers through their transactions, I can advise clients on overall marketplace trends, costs and complexities of renovations, and other economic factors associated with their decisions. Traveling around the country and even as far as China studying real estate development and sustainability, enables me to bring that global perspective to Durham.
After spending years working to create compact, walkable, sustainable neighborhoods around the state and across the country, I made the decision to focus on Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding areas. I enjoy working with people, and saw a true market need for an experienced and professional real estate advisor in the very robust Durham market. The change also suited my desire to travel less and spend more time at home with my wife and growing family. He considers Durham home and has detailed local knowledge acquired nearly a decade living, working & studying in the area. I enjoy working with a wide range of clients, from first time home buyers to experienced investors and everyone in between. Every client has a specific set of needs, and the satisfaction I get from meeting those challenges helps keep me fresh and engaged in what can be a very tough industry.
Insight and Experience Working Hard for You.
I began my real estate career much earlier than most. I was at first a toddler visitor, but later a teenage carpenter on the job sites of the dozens of homes built by my father, a custom builder in the New England mountains. My mom was also in the business, as a real estate agent in Maine’s Belgrade Lakes region. As such, talk around the dinner table often turned to real estate related issues. In particular, how hard my parents worked to meet their customers’ needs was a frequent topic of conversation. Thus, the excellent and responsive client service I offer can be traced back to those suppertime talks back in Maine.
My analytical skills are important in helping ensure that my clients have the insights needed to make wise investments. In addition to being a broker, I also maintain a series of ongoing real estate investments. In my opinion, any serious broker who has the skills to help his clients make good decisions should also be a successful real estate investor.
However, it’s equally important that I understand and fully appreciate the personal side of home buying and can help lighten the load by providing support and perspective during what can be complex process.
I always enjoy talking about Durham, especially to prospective clients. I’d look forward to hearing from you and to answering your questions about the Durham real estate market.
