I had a contract with Accu-Air, which stipulated that they were to service my heating/ac units every six months. They were to call with a reminder and schedule the service. Since I have a hectic life, I wanted a company that I could depend on to keep track of this, and they assured me they would. They did not call with a reminder for the winter service, and when I realized it was past time and called them, they assured me it would not happen again. Well it did. They were last here on Oct 2 for the winter service and should have scheduled the AC service for early April, but I had no contact with them until June 19th, when my air went out. I called Accu-Air to schedule an appointment. When I asked why I was not called for the routine maintenance, the receptionist told me that they simply had so many customers, they didn't have time to do routine service because of the number of people who needed repairs! She said they had to work in their contract customers!! The repair guy came on the 20th, added freon to the unit, and charged 249. If he had come in April when he was supposed to, I obviously would have been low but not out of freon, and although I would have been responsible for the cost of the freon, I would not have had to pay for a service call. And, let's not forget the discomfort of a 98-degree temperature for my family, which includes a 96-year-old and a baby. I am disappointed in the unprofessionalism and irresponsibility of this company. Update: See response from Accu-Air. I appreciate the letter and refund for the service call. I also appreciate that customers with no air have priority. They did respond to my call within 24 hours. A problem remains, however. In her letter Bonnie said, "i had not forgotten about your AC maintenance even though that is how it appears." The maintenance for my two units was over two months past due, and the upstairs unit was not serviced during this service call. I would certainly understand a couple of weeks overdue, but two months is outrageous. The company obviously has two few employees to handle their business.

Frankly, I would not have believed the level of service that Larry provides had I not experienced it first-hand. When you start to research heat pumps at a site like this (http://www.furnacecompare.com/heat-pumps/ruud/reviews/), you'll find that every major branch has a majority negative opinion. After watching the care that Larry took in installing our unit, I understood why so many heat pumps fail prematurely: they aren't installed with care! Accu-Aire insists on two days for installing a heat pump. They pressurize the system and then check to see if the system (including the lines from outside to upstairs) have held the pressure. They make sure they have gotten the moisture out of the system. Larry spend an extra 4 hours (yes, four hours) on the installation because there was water in the line that he wanted to remove. I knew that he had scheduled something else for the afternoon but he just shifted his workers around and stayed on our installation until he was satisfied. And, believe it or not, he came back 3 days later to make some fine adjustments to the system. Larry explained that his primary goal was to feel good about his work and that he figured the business would succeed as long as he served his customers with quality work. I cannot recommend Accu-Aire and Larry, the owner, highly enough. From the moment that you meet Larry, you'll know that he is someone you can trust, someone you can rely on.

Larry, the owner, came out, gave me an estimate and advised me on the size of the gas line I would need based on the requirements of my range and potential future gas fueled items. This was very helpful and important so I could make decisions that assured excellent functionality of my range. His cost estimate was better than that of the local gas company. within days after the gas main was run to the house his crew was here and ran gas line from the exterior of the house to kitchen range.His crew were competent and courteous. They also answered my questions. Along the way, as I had questions or needed additional information, I'd call the office. Bonnie was always helpful and courteous, and if a call back was needed, prompt. The job was done well, and they were nice to work with.

All persons were here when they said they would be. The technicians were clean-cut, well-mannered, and could answer any remaining questions I had as the work progressed. Accu-air's office staff members were most helpful - keeping me informed of the technicians' arrival times, submitting appropriate paperwork for rebate and for financing. The owner personally inspected the whole installation when it was completed. Which brings me to the most important factor: working with a local and family-owned business has always been my preference. Word of mouth brought this company into my purview. Accu-air takes great pride in its work - work with them and you will understand why!

It was a good experience. I was impressed enough to schedule a return visit in the spring for a check on the AC. The price I have listed above is for both visits and includes the $10 deduction for using Angie's List to identify the company. The technician worked steadily and was very through. He was not in a rush to move on to the next job. When I inquired about how he learned to do this kind of work he gave me a complete history going back to a high school electrical class he took instead of a foreign language one semester and an internship he did with a company his final semester before moving on to technical college.

Accu - Air Heating & Air Conditioning's price was comparable to other competitors. The technician who came to my house was very thorough and helpful but he forgot to check one thing before he left and as a result the repair was not effective because he had neglected to check the Freon level. Accu - Air Heating & Air Conditioning did come back free of charge, right away, added the Freon, and everything was perfect. I would recommend them to others because of their thoroughness and their willingness to come back right away at no charge. I would use them again because the technician seem to not be in a rush and did take the time that was needed.

I have a contract with them. They come out twice a year. They are very responsive and very good. I trust them.

I have a long experience and relationship with them. I've been using them for years. They are prompt, reliable and honest. I've used them for 10 or more years. They have never failed to address a problem. I haven't compared prices but air conditioning and heating can be expensive. I have no reason to believe that they are any different from anybody else regarding their pricing. They do our home and my office which is a separate structure. I know I will use them again.

It went really well. They are good with communication. They are always here on time. They always clean up, and they do a good job. I like that they are here on time, and they are honest about when they can get here. They don't try to promise something they can't deliver. They are a Trane distributor. I like Trane because they are high-quality. They are knowledgeable about the units.

They have always been very prompt and professional. I like to tag along to try to learn a thing or two, and they are happy to have me around and explain what they are doing and what I can do to preserve the system between visits. In the past they have also installed a humidification system that we have been very pleased. They include water filter replacement with the annual routine servicing. I have asked for quotes on a second humidification system and improved bathroom exhaust vents, but I did have some concerns with their proposed plans to run water line for the humidification system, and how a simple exhaust upgrade quickly grew to a >$1000 estimate.

It went really well. The owner actually came out and helped me with the problem. He knew that I was selling my house at the time so he did what he could to minimize the costs that were associated with fixing my problem. He probably could have tried to up sell me quite a bit and I would have paid it. He was really reasonable and honest.

They were a little expensive. I was pleased with their work. I spent $5300 on that work. They gave us discount for paying by cash.
