 + -1 moreTook advantage of mom's Christian charity ....asked payment-in-full when adult children were not present.... Played on moms sympathies like a con man. Ultimately, after months of painfully trying to work around the excuses, we ended up in Court. We were not the first....as we later found out. Sad. Cost over $2,000 to hire representation.....judgement awarded, but owner Jim Eckart failed to pay judgement even in part. Saddest to me was his claim to be a Christian family man....
Description of Work: Failed to finish large, $20,000 plus residential landscape job. Kept offering promises/excuses/delays, but after 18 months, never followed through. Took advantage of older-female-head-of-household's trust, asked for and got full payment prior to completion. Even in court, made excuses and promises, but the Court found against him. Save yourself some time, check Durham Co. for judgments lodged and sustained against this business. And, hold back some of the contract price if you decide to hire this business

Description of Work: The owner, Jim Eckert, was in the middle of landscaping my yard. His company was then named Triangle Environmental Lawn & Landscape. Mr. Eckert asked me for a check for $10,000 to buy supplies for replacing and enlarging my driveway. I wrote the check and he was gone without doing the driveway within just a few weeks, shortly after my husband's death.
