if zero star's were possible they would wear the badge proudly. i brought in my laptop to be "looked" at. Unfortunately, it was disassembled and fondled so much it ended up in worse condition than it was in. Not to mention the person assisting me was rude. ill tempered and cut me off several times as I expressed my concerns. now i am stuck with a computer which no longer works and have not been reimbursed. i did not sign anything allowing my property to be taken apart. after overhearing the comments made by one employee of the speed of the computer. now my computer no longer boots past the loading screen. i have lost access to numerous family photos. even the video birth of my only child can not be restored. this is a major problem and the service is very poor. i have been coming here for years, before the relocation. I personally will never spend another cent at this place. hospitality is non-existent, knowledge doesn't mean correct. After taking my laptop to another repair shop, it was discovered that some of the original components to my computer had been removed. Priceless information lost due to their actions is ridiculous.

We understand your desire to leave a negative review, but the substance of it is factually incorrect. You brought in an 11-year-old Toshiba with wifi issues. We warned against fixing it but wanted to be helpful, so the tech offered to try reinstalling the driver and you agreed. Our error #1: we thought we could help you quickly, but should have generated a check-in and waiver of liability. After the driver fix failed, the techs tried replacing the wifi card, which should be a fast, free solution. Our error #2: we did not stop and seek your consent before doing this. The attempt was made in good faith, but backfired. After swapping the card, suddenly the laptop would not fully boot to desktop. It was later determined this was due to a minor failure of the SSHD. Though you didn't know it, you were days - if not hours - from losing the ability to boot the computer already. We stopped and tried to explain the issue, and our tech's intent was to merely make it clear that the problem was random, but we had every intention of making it right for you. You began insisting that we had broken it and would have to fix it. Our error #3: our tech was getting frustrated with your refusal to acknowledge the nuance of the situation, and ended up cutting you off while trying to make a point. In the long run, our tech worked a minor miracle by managing to recover your original operating environment, complete with every byte of original data - including the things you claim that you "lost" - to a new SSD. We also returned the original SSHD to you with all your data on it. This was done at no charge. In all, you received $392.36 worth of parts and labor for free, a computer that is fully functional with no loss of data and improved performance, an apology from the lead tech, and a detailed written summary of events and failure analysis. We have reviewed and our policies in light of these events. Our apologies for any inconvenience. [This response is truncated due to Angi's character limit]

Thanks, [Member name removed]! Your job was particularly tricky with transferring information from a much older computer to a new one, but we managed to make it happen! We appreciate your business.

Description of Work: I had a favorite piece of software that is no longer supported by its creator, and no longer workable on windows systems post-XP. They, Mark, creatively solved the problem with a 'virtual box ' such that the software runs great on a Windows 8 machine. They were knowledgeable, tactful, available, and seemed to take the issue seriously. I would recommend thee folks to anyone with a computer problem.
