Over the last two years, our lawn has gotten worse and worse. Their last attempt at aeration and seeding absolutely destroyed my back yard.

The only reason they are getting a B for punctuality is because you do not know when they come. When I asked about this they told me it is because the computer generates the best route for them and tells them how much product they need to bring with them. It made sense enough so no complaints.

I had been using Weed Man for about a year and earlier this fall I had been getting calls weekly about aeration and seeding (which was around $250). I wasn't that interested but decided to go ahead with it to keep up the program. My lawn had looked better in the last year and I was OK with the service. As the last treatment they recommended an additional treatment to kill some Bermuda grass in the lawn prior to aeration/seeding. The service was performed, for an additional cost, and within a week my entire lawn was dead. Not just patches but the entire lawn. I had neigbors and relatives commenting on how terrible my lawn looked and everyone assumed it must be some mistake by the lawn company. I complained to their contact email and was told someone would get back to me. No one did. I then received an auto message that my aeration was to be performed. I called and cancelled this and sent another email. I was told that there was no mistake and that they had needed to perform the additional trearment to remove stubborn weeds. Strange that I had been paying $60 per month for weed control yet my entire lawn needed to be killed to remove weeds. I basically paid hundreds of dollars to have a dead lawn. I could have killed the lawn myself with a trip to Lowe's to buy Roundup. Now if I had originally been told that I should start over with the lawn at the beginning this may be a different story but why throw good money away "treating"a lawn if you are just going to kill it and start over? Very displeased with this service. I won't give an F because the work up until that point had been good and they are prompt and the employees are friendly.

Currently, I have a contract for this year. They were here last month. They are really good. They usually have like a certain time that they show up. They don’t have to make an appointment. They just show up once a month once you sign the contract. The service cost about $50 every visit. If you pay like an annual contract, you get a discount so it’s cheaper. Usually, they kill weeds or kill certain type of weeds. They plant grass if they need too just like different times of the year or do different things with your lawn. Once a year, they do the aerating and plant new grass at one time. If you have spots that don’t have any grass in the interim they’ll plant during that. They are just timely and they do what they say they are going to do. Their service is good. My grass looks really good. I think other people charge more than that.

So far, I've been pleased with the work they've done.

I am using the basic service. They do what they say they will. They are very knowledgeable and professional. I have actually been using them for a few years and have only had to get them to come back out once.

Two years ago I started with Weed Man applying weed killer and fertilizer monthly. I was very pleased with their service and after about 6 months I really did see a difference--they make it very clear that lawn improvement requires a long-term commitment and that results are not immediate. I was pleased enough with the improvement to continue the service and this summer my lawn looks the best it has in the 10 years I've lived here. Weed Man comes once a month and has made all the difference. Last summer I used another company's mosquito control service but it was expensive. This spring I received a note from Weed Man that they were now providing that service and it was about 2/3s of the other company's price. I gave it a try and the results are immediate. My yard is surrounded by trees, bushes, and a creek and without control the mosquitos can make it impossible to be in the back yard between 4 and 10 pm. Week Man comes every 3 weeks to spray and now I can be in the back yard at any time usually without even one bite. I also added their lawn disease service this summer because I recognized that my lawn gets fungal diseases in this heat and humidity. I did the math and it's cheaper for me to hire Weed Man to handle the yard each month than it is for me to go to Lowes, buy fungicide, and apply it myself... it's simple math. So far no dramatic results, but if I don't see any problems... well, that's the objective. In summary, I'm very pleased with the services I received from Weed Man and I recommend them. They're not inexpensive and it requires a commitment but paying in advance does get you a 5% discount.

I spent three calls with them to understand excactly what they are proividing since its a decent amount of money. They had no problem reviewing the details again and then sending an email to confirm. I have a really bad lawn, so it hard to make it look better, but weeds are done for sure. They add suggestions on the packet they leave on the door and they will provided additional services in the fall. i will likely have them them do that as well.

It went great. I like that they leave us notes specific to our yard, and they even offer to come do additional treatments at no charge if they or we deem it necessary. We have never had to contact them about this though, they are proactive and have scheduled one such service for the near future.

If I do have a problem, they are really fast to take a phone call and let them know that I'm seeing something that I thought should have already been taken care of and they come back out with no charge and free treatment. I've used quite a few different maintenance programs and they're very competitive.

I contacted the service via the website and requested a quote, but I wanted to make sure I was home to speak in person with them. I received a call from Cecil on 2/17/2014 to schedule a time and we agreed on meeting the following Wednesday 2/19/2014. Well the day came and went and not even a phone call from the company to say they couldn't make it due to this or that. I waited till the 21st and called Cecil back and got a story that traffic was bad and he couldn't make it, while this is not really a viable excuse I decide I would give him another shot. We rescheduled a meeting for Wednesday 2/26/2014 and guess what again we have a NO SHOW and NO CALL. This is totally unacceptable and I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

We are very happy with the work Weed Man has provided us over the years. We are especially happy that we feel that our pets are safe with the products they use. It is common for them to need to stay off the lawn for an hour or two after treatment. But then it is pet friendly, which is a giant plus for us, because our dogs are like our children. Oh, yeah, and their products WORK GREAT!

I have found Weed Man of Lake Norman to be responsive and do an excellent job. When we have had issues or concerns they have address them promptly.

He came out, looked at our lawn, gave us some tips/pointers and said he could help us improve what we already had going. After speaking to him, we realized it was cheaper to have the Weed Man do it and do it exactly right, than to keep trying to get rid of weeds in a hit or miss fashion. He comes out every so often and leaves a note on the door as to what he did while he was there. The only bad part is that the yard really smells for the first day. The next day, most of the stink has worn off. Weed Man thank you for your time and patience as we asked a lot of questions and you were always great at explaining.

They do keep their promises. If you are not happy they will come back and redo the job. They do a really good job.
