He was prompt, courteous, and responsive. He was professional and answered questions with confidence. He said he would send his bid by e-mail. His e-mail response stated that since he was in another county, permits would be difficult, especially with the work I wanted done. He declined the job. I was able to get an electrician from my county to do the work and e-mailed Ken about installing an ac/heater combo unit. He recommended a mini-split unit which he did not install and gave me the name and number of someone who did.

We moved into a new-to-us house recently and wanted to replace (often with LED fixtures) quite a few light fixtures inside and outside the house; install new towel bars, toilet paper holders, and faucets in the bathrooms; install light kits on some of the ceiling fans; replace a fan in the vaulted ceiling; add more recessed LED lights in two of the rooms; and install lights in several closets. We also needed a variety of odd items fixed, such as a dryer vent that wasn't sealed or insulated, doors that didn't fit tightly at the bottom, and open cracks between door and the garage foundation. Ken did it all! He is reliable, friendly, professional, and does excellent work. He is also a good resource for other vendors in the area, which was helpful because we are new to North Carolina. I would recommend Ken's Handyman Service without reservation.

He came when he was supposed to be and got to work right away. He was very professional and very knowledgeable. Licensed electrician so I was confident about all the works that he was doing. He was very nice gentleman and we would definitely call him again if you encounter any problems with our home needs.

It wasn’t particularly well. They were not very punctual getting here. The toilet is still leaking. It wasn’t very well at all. The father is a handyman and he was going to come in to fix the toilet. He brought his son in who’s in a separate company to do the flooring. There was a problem getting his father here on time because the father had to do his job first before the son did his. It was a 3 or 4 week delay until getting the father here. The father quoted us a figure of $250 to fix the toilet for which he never charged us. The son was worth $425 which he was charged. The floor was fine except is leaking again. The floor is now damaged again.

After explaining what we needed, Mr. Zappone stated that he would need to come back by on Saturday to measure for the outside work. He stated that we wouldn't even need to be home for that part. We haven't heard from him since then. No phone call or text. Nothing. I chose Ken's Handyman service due to his high ratings on Angie's List. If Mr. Zappone is so busy, maybe he needs to hire some help. I was very disappointed as he was so highly rated on your list. We waited for quite a while, then finally contacted another party not on the list.

I called him to set up an appointment to come over and give me an estimate on a lighting job for the living room. I had to leave a message on his answering service. He didn't return my call until several days later. He left a message whereby he apologized for not calling back in a more timely manner but requested that I return his call to set up another appointment. Figuring I'd give this person another chance, I called him up again. Once more I had to leave a message. Again he called up after many days had passed. I couldn't wait around for this gentleman so I hired another party who answered his phone, returned phone calls, came promptly, was highly professional and did an excellent job of supplying me with new lighting.

I called Ken and got a quick response back. I talked to him about what I needed done and he knew exactly how to tackle it. He gave me a estimate and even told me some options on how to make things cheaper. I ended up not using him but just because he was so busy his next appointment was a month out. Will try him again next fix it job I have.

Ken was responsive via email as well as via phone. He was flexible in setting up a time to come over and review the items I needed addressed and provide a quote. Once arrived - he clearly stated was would be easy to fix and what may be more challenging. He went through each line item and quoted what each task would cost including materials. We quickly setup a date for him to come back and do the work I requested. I could not be present due to my schedule so I had a relative be on-site to let him in and stay in case there were questions. He reviewed everything he completed and said he would mail me an invoice rather than leave it so I had time to review the work before making payment. The best part of his service was he mentioned that he thought he forgot to turn my water back on after changing my filter and offered to cover the next filter visit for my inconveinance. Excellent service, excellent work. Went above and beyond. Highly recommended.

Ken is a great guy. He showed up on time and got right to work. The quality of the work was excellent and it was obvious that he knew what he was doing. He is a true professional. When putting the door knob on, he noticed a rubbing of the front doors and told me he would figure out a solution [the problem had been there for 6 years since the house was built]. He came back a few weeks later after calling the manufacturer and was able to quickly fix the doors! It was great for him to go above and beyond and that is just the way Ken is. We now have a "Ken List" that we update and once a few projects accumulate, we call him to stop by and help us out. I recommend Ken to everyone.

Ken was extremely professional on the phone. He gave me to other names to assist me. He does not do small appliance repair so he gave me a name of a person for the dishwasher. He even went on to recommend getting one for my rental home from habitat of humanity and I would come out possibly cheaper. I had some plumbing issues at my rental house and he said he was booked for the next 1 and 1/2 weeks. However, he gave me name of a plumber if I need the issue resolve prior to this date. I seemed extremely honest and was willing to help, even though he may not receive any compensation. I would recommend him.

Ken did a really good job on all the work around the house. He was very professional and did a great job of cleaning up in the end as well. I would highly recommend his work to anyone needing odd jobs completed at a fair price.

He is very capable and competent in his craft. I firmly believe that he has integrity and that he is honest. He gave us a thorough estimate and a break down of what he anticipated doing based on our needs and how much each item would cost before he even started so that we could say choose which ones to do. He gave us a time estimate for how long it would take and set up a time for when he could come back and do the work. He is very professional and I had a good experience with him without a doubt. I am going to have him back and do some other work.

Our shower was leaking and during intial visit Ken discovered that parts needed to be ordered. He did that and had them sent to our house. He installed the new parts and fixed the shower quickly and professionally. I then asked him to look at why my outside lights were not working. HE quickly discovered a bad GFI and fortunately had the part with him so fixed the issue in under 1/2 hour. Ken is a professional. I am always happy with the work he does, the manner in which he approaches his job and the courtesy he extends to his customers.
