I've met Gabriel on Oct 8th to get an estimate for some deck work as well as carpet installation. I was promised a call back with an estimate on at least 3 occasions. I wasn't provided an estimate. The lack of follow-up is a sign of poor Customer Service and bad business. It is now Oct 30 and I have yet to receive an estimate.

I had a second piece to my deck expansion and got quotes from 3 contractors. One was "The' name brand in town, one G&H and one other. G&H quoted slightly higher than the name brand builder and I asked him to match the price, when I presented him with the written quote, he gladly did so. We love our new deck, it's perfect, but perhaps the most perfect thing that a homeowner can hear, is the words of our inspector when Gabriel wasn't around, "I want to tell you I'm really impressed with the quality of this work - it's very very good" to hear that from someone who looks at this type of work all day and was not prompted to make the comment was just the biggest relief that we could have heard. A wonderful experience from start to finish. Also the name brand builder was going to set the posts on top of our existing deck. Gabriel insisted on footings in the ground. I hadn't thought about it until he explained it and I can't imagine doing it any other way, this deck is rock solid.

Wonderful - Gabriel arrived exactly when he said he would. It took 3 days - each day they completely cleaned up the site so that we could use the back deck while work was still going on. When extending a railing, he found a problem with the original railing, where it was installed unevenly to hide a post that was too short, showed it to me, and was able to make adjustments to that rail and the new adjacent one so that it isn't visible. No problems at all - a great experience!
