Description of Work: My partner and I bought a 1988 house, just on the outskirts of Lenoir in August of 2110. There were several things that we wanted to change or up-date in the house. One was to replace the very LOW Vanity in the Master Bath. We got a quote from someone esle but it was for a very simple vanity with NO extras. They said it would run us between $1,200 and $1,500. We just didn't want to spend that much, what with everything else we were doing. So, I ran into an Interior Decorator, by accident at Lowes in Lenoir by the name of CARRIE JENKINS. She was a life saver on several issues that we had but is the one that suggested we call Jim Withers, the Owner of Catawba Valley Custom Cabinets, to see if he could help us. After I called him he was prompt in coming out to measure the space we have and to talk to us about what we wanted for a vanity. That lead us to giving him a drawer from our solid Cherry bedroom suite that was stained on the darker side to match the color for us. Since the Vanity would be easily visible from the bedroom. I procured similar drawer and door pulls to what our bedroom furniture had, in brass. Other than the fact that we wanted it higher, we also wanted to have some drawers in it too. So, he planned on putting three (3) drawers in the middle. Plus a pull out drawer on the bottom behind each of the two (2) doors on either side of the three (3) drawers. He also put in a TILT-OUT drawer panel on either side, in front of the two sinks for additional storage. Those are fantastic and we use them every day and are thankful that Jim suggested them. So, Jim designed a Vanity that was exactly what we wanted plus some and matched the color of our furniture to at tee for the stained he used. Delivering and installing the vanity was included in his price. Even though we were NOT ready for the Vanity when he delivered it. We stored it in our bedroom while I finished putting down a marble floor in the Vanity area. When that was done, we called him and he came back out in a very prompt time and installed the new Vanity. The fit was so good that there was only a hair on either side of the Vanity. SO, there was NO need for a trim board on either side as most Vanitys have. Jim is very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely talented young man. His prices are fantatic and so is he work!
