Refinishing Wonders

Marvin did an excellent job of completely refinishing our kitchen cabinets, with the addition of enhanced crown molding, cabinet molding and slow close drawer slides. He did a very professional job, and we returned home to a spotless kitchen. We would highly recommend him.

Our dark kitchen was in much need of remodeling. We knew we wanted to keep our kitchen cabinets, but we wanted to lighten and update the look of the kitchen. We engaged Marvin at Refinishing Wonders to perform this work. We had to schedule him several months in advance, given his busy workload, but he was definitely worth the wait. He was always responsive to our questions prior to starting work, and he was more than willing to help us determine how we wanted to proceed. For example, he offered to paint a door in our selected color for us to take when matching tile colors. He also had great ideas about how to improve the look of the kitchen, adding panels to various flat surfaces and building a cabinet around our refrigerator. After the carpentry work, he spray painted our cabinets, giving the kitchen a whole new look. His craftsmanship is outstanding, and he is very meticulous in his work. He unfailingly did just what he said he’d do, finishing the job right on schedule after many long days of work. He also left the house neat and clean each day. His prices were reasonable, and on top of all else, he’s probably the nicest and most honorable person we’ve had the pleasure of working with. Marvin makes you feel like the most important thing to him is satisfying the customer, and it’s genuine. We couldn’t be more pleased. I hope we’ll have other opportunities to work with him in the future.

Refinishing Wonders – Marvin did a magnificent job on my kitchen cabinets and my kitchen island. I recently replaced my kitchen countertops with granite. Unexpectedly, I found that the kitchen cabinets clashed with the countertops. I really wasn’t sure what to do. Thankfully, I found Refinishing Wonders on Angie’s list. Marvin really helped bring my vision to life. He took my kitchen island and turned it into a beautiful centerpiece of my home. Also, he turned the granite into a focal point of the kitchen changing the color and style of the honey oak cabinets. He is a true artist and a wonderful professional. His work ethic and integrity is impeccable. I am incredibly happy with the work he provided.

Marvin stopped by our home early in the evening with lots of samples of refinished cabinet doors. He was on time, professional and very nice to my wife and I. We have an oak kitchen, room dimensions are approx 14x10, with a large island and 6ft butlers pantry between the kitchen and dining room. Our cabinets have oak facing in addition to the doors. The quote also included some custom trim work on the island to help dress it up. Overall, it was a good experience and the quality of work seems to be top notch. They can do any color, glaze treatment, distressing etc. The process included removing all the doors and drawers to refinish them off site and sealing off the kitchen in order to do the facing and sides of the cabinets etc. We aren't sure if the price will fit into our budget at this point (will update review if we pull the trigger) but we wanted to put a more recent review out here for this company because they seem to be doing some great work.

He has done a wonderful job and his work is perfect. I even asked him to get in touch with Angie's List and get registered officially. The job that he did for us is one that causes a lot of dust and dirt, but his preparation work was so perfect - he sealed the kitchen and worked inside, and not a speck of dirt was found in the house. The overall experience has been excellent and I give him a very high rating on all counts. I would certainly use his services again in the future.

Marvin has a special procedure to resurface cabinets that one normally would have to replace. In a 7-step process he will recondition the surfaces to perfection, in any color the customer desires, and also showing a wide array of wood grain patterns. The endresult is so amazing that one would think brandnew cabinets have been installed. Marvin works very meticulously, covering everything, thus keeping any dust to an absolute minimum. He also is very accurate; when he says he'll be at the work location at 8 o'clock in the morning, you can rely on him, he'll be there exactly on time. This is also a very economical way to get perfect results. Various other companies, including big corporations, offered a lower standard resurfacing at more than twice the price.
