Window replacement from Lowes Lowes offers lot of services including Window replacement. We contacted Lowe’s in Oct 2022 to replace windows in our condominium. Windows were in pretty bad shape and needed attention. Sales person took few weeks and sent us a contract. Installer representative was supposed to come and do an assessment of the work involved. They came looked at what they needed and left in 5 mins. At that point, we had 2 days to sign the contract to retain the 3 yr same as cash promotion. Sales agent did not make any effort to clarify any key points. We were traveling that weekend and did not have access to laptop to go through the 10+ page contract in its entirety. We trusted the sales agent and Lowe’s that it was all good and we would have been told the fine lines up front. To make long story short, it is mid Feb now, and we are still waiting. Remember the windows have been in bad shape to start with, keeping the draft out with card board and duct tape. Windows have actually been delivered to Lowe’s store before Christmas, which was confirmed by the assistant store manager. We have called Lowe’s and the install company more than 50 times so far. No exaggeration. Supposedly the issue has been escalated to Lowe’s district manager but not once anyone from Lowe’s has called us. No one is taking ownership to get the work scheduled, it is extremely frustrating. Sales person and their manager have completely disappeared. I had a tenant who was supposed to move in Jan 20, of course I had to cancel that without the windows replaced. We have been making payment towards the windows starting Dec and still no windows or date when it will get done. There is 20% re-stocking fee to cancel the contract, which is outrageous. Want to share please be aware, read every line in the contract. Better yet get a windows company to come to your home and schedule the work. Lowe’s has failed us.
