. After several weeks I started having intermittent TV issues where I would need to turn off TV set and then back on for clear picture. When frequency of issues increased I stopped by Firefold to report issues. I was told that techs were at lunch and they will call me when they returned. They did call the next afternoon and agreed to come to check out the system. The 2 original installers arrived about 4:00 PM on a Friday. One played with the remote for various settings while the other checked the wire connections. About 5 pm they announced the problem was the cable TV box and told me I needed to replace it. So at 5PM on a Friday I have no TV which I had until they arrived. Luckily Time Warner was open until 6 PM so I hurried to get a replacement box. I reconnected the box to no avail. TW sent out tech On Saturday and found loose wires connecting back of receiver which I never touched. Tech got cable working and sound through TV but no Surround sound.The following Tuesday I visited Firefold again and spoke with installers supervisor and explained disappointment that her installers left house on 5 PM Friday with TV out. She was a bit weak in the apology department but agreed to have her only 2 techs come back. The next morning the lead tech called me and said what do you expect from us as he could not be blamed if I had faulty equipment. Based on his attitude I felt it best to find someone else to get the system back working. This time I went to Angies list first and found JD Audio. Jason came out and found that the receiver was programmed so the sound would not go through the HDMI cable to the TV. He corrected and all is good. Please remember the surround sound was working until the Firefold Techs used the remotes and they were the only ones that adjusted any settings on the receiver until I called JD Audio. Bottom line if you need any stereo or home theater systems, call JD Audio
Description of Work: Received estimate to connect new receiver to existing wall speakers, cable box & TV, Several speakers needed to be repositioned to direct sound in better direction. Work was completed 2/15/12 and I was pleased with work.

The team from Firefold did a very nice job. They were professional and very polite. During the installation, they ran into an issue with the wiring and the project support bar. The Firefold team consulted me along the way with options and next steps.During the estimate process, Firefold provided me suggestions and gave me ideas. A/V is a small hobby and I admitted do not know all the nuances. The Firefold team did a great job of answering my questions and seeking to understand what I wanted to do. After I received the estimate, I found it to be very competitive. I would hire this team again.
Description of Work: I had the Firefold team install a projector and 110' screen in my home theater room.

I don't know they never did anything accept sell me wire, which they did well
Description of Work: I first went to the shop in Concord to purchase some cables for my new home (HDMI, in wall speaker and sub coax) in December. They had wonderful prices on these cables! I asked if they did home installation. The receptionist said yes. I waited for about 20 minutes for someone to come out to talk to me (that is a very long time in a small shop with nothing to do) He told me that they were very busy but would be able to help me out in the next couple weeks. I said that was fine and to give me a call when he got a chance. Well a month and a half passed and I went back in and told the receptionist what had happened and she asked me to fill out the same contact info paperwork I filled out before to get in-home service. Well it is a full month since then and I still have not heard from them. If you need wires for a do-it-yourself job, Firefold is definitely the way to go, if you want them to do the work for you....well...

The job went very well. After an extensive and informative call with Britt discussing my options, the service was scheduled within the week. Britt and Gabe showed up on time and were very professional. We ended up having to cut into the dry wall to run some cable, but that decision was only reached as a last resort. They even did a great job with that. In addition to the great installation, the cabling and bracket from FireFold were a fraction of the cost at retail locations. If I need A/V stuff in the future, I am calling them first!
Description of Work: Britt and Gabe came out to our house to wall-mount our 42" plasma TV. In addition to providing the mounting bracket, the company also provided all the necessary cabling, etc. They ran cable for our DirecTV receiver, DVD player, PS2, and re-ran new speaker wire for our existing surround sound system.
