In July 2013 our HVAC unit died. We decided to go with Concord Heating & Air for our replacement because a family member had used them and was happy and we also had a family member by marriage who worked there. From the very beginning I wasn’t super happy with the staff who came out to do the work. I was home for most of it because my job was more flexible then my husband’s, but the men didn’t communicate with me AT ALL. It took a whole week and while they did provide a portable A/C unit for us, they took it away the day they were supposed to be done, but they didn’t finish that day. So we didn’t have any A/C for the whole last day of the work. When the county inspector came out to inspect the new unit he said the breaker that HVAC was on needed to be changed and he would let Concord Heating & Air know and they would contact us to schedule that – we never heard from them about that. I wish I had gotten the inspector’s name to contact him but I didn’t. The next summer we started having issues with the breaker that the HVAC unit was on tripping and turning off. We would come home from work and it would 86 degrees in our house. We called them and they replaced the breaker, but it continued to be an issue. We called them again and they said that it must be an electrical issue in our house. Our house is older, so we had an electrician come out and check everything – he said he saw no electrical issues and it must be something with our HVAC unit. At this point I was coming home on my lunch break most days because the breaker was tripping almost every day. We called Concord Heating & Air AGAIN and they sent Zac out – he was the ONLY person we dealt with from this company who communicated and was helpful. He said he found an issue – a part was installed incorrectly and that should fix it. Then we got a bill from Concord Heating & Air for the service call Zac did. We called and said that we had paid more to have an electrician come out because Concord Heating & Air INSISTED there was nothing wrong with the unit and that Zac found something that was done incorrectly and we shouldn’t have to pay for the service call. They never resolved that, but didn’t keep sending bills either. Through the summer of 2016 we are still having issues with the A/C breaker tripping – not as frequently as it did in 2014, but enough that I worry about it on especially hot days. We’re going to have to pay another HVAC company to service our unit and try to figure out why this breaker keeps tripping. I’m so frustrated with this on-going issue that if I could have them come take the HVAC unit away and get my money back I would. We paid for the unit in full and did not finance it with them – maybe if we had we could have withheld payments until they fixed it. I’m starting to wonder if we don’t have a bad unit, but the staff at Concord Heating & Air seem so incompetent I don’t know if they would even recognize that. This company has terrible communication – multiple times we would call about these issues and they wouldn’t call us back. They obviously don’t care about customer service at all. I don’t think I’ve ever dealt with a worse company than Concord Heating & Air.

Our upstairs A/C finally gave out and Concord H&AC was quick to respond to come check it out. The system was almost 18 yrs old so it was indeed time for a replacement. Tim provided several options for us and was very knowledgeable as to what would be the best fit and most cost effective for us. Being that it would be about four days before they could do the install, Tim provided us a portable AC unit to at least help make it somewhat bearable upstairs. On the day of the install, Tim was on time and oversaw the whole project. They had us up and running by mid afternoon, cleaned up the project and you would have never known they had been there except for the nice cold AC!! Very happy with Concord Heating and Air!!

Installation was fine. They asked questions to make sure we got what we wanted. During the inquiry about the type of unit we often had to contact them instead of them contacting us. However they researched the product and helped us find a way to achieve our final result.

I have used Concord Heating and Air to replace my home HVAC, replacements at 5 rental properties and several repair calls. They are the best - professional, honest and dependable at reasonable rates. They do what they say they will do. Ask for Eugene, he is first class.

Service up front was good, response was great, but if your work doesn't last or it comes out that you didn't fully perform the duties that was required and you don't take ownership, you are no good as a service business.

Sure enough, the coils were very dirty and it required a pound of freon. The tech was friendly and considerate as he put on booties when in the house. He checked out the unit in the attic also. Took about an hour and house already cooler.

Came within 24 hours of my call. Gave me an honest estimate of the 11 year old heat pump. They repaired it so that it would work again, but told me it may not last much longer. They gave me an honest estimate without pushing me to purchase a new unit. They wore shoe covers in the house and never leave a mess. Will ask them for an estimate on a new unit when the time comes.

They were recommended by some other people. They have done pretty good. The person that came went outside. Basically, he has monitored the whole thing outside. He came inside in the basement, and he did the same with the air handler. He did a very good job especially inside the house. I looked at it before he came. It was quite dirty for a number of years. It was very very clean after he did it. He did a good job of that. I am going to use him again. They did a quality job. At that point, we had a filter that I had bought somewhere. He even explained to me about the different filters and what to look for in different filters and what not. He even educated me in that area. We appreciated that very much. He came in on time and did the job. When they came in, they started working right away and did what they were supposed to. They took their time to talk to us though. He was pretty good and responsive.

The second before it got too cold, we checked the system to make sure it was working. It wasn't, so we called them out. It turned out that our heat exchanger had rusted out, and it was no longer safe to use the old system. I spend a half hour talking to the person. The second person came out to talk about our options in replacing the system. One of the options included an incentive rebate. We picked out a higher-end unit because of the recommendations of the supervisor. As it turns out, it's a very good unit for us. Installation went without a hitch. They had to fabricate some of the new pieces to attach the new unit to the house. They did that very well. Installation went very quickly. They included a digital service mat, so we can automatically adjust our heating and cooling system. Since installation, it has been running perfectly. Our heating bills have gone down.

We are pleased with them. They were prompt and they were here when they told us they would be. They gave us an estimate for some work but they also told us that it was something we could do ourselves if we chose; they didn’t push their agenda just to get more money which I greatly appreciate.
