I have used these guys before and have found them to be prompt and professional. I will not call anyone else when I have tree work. We thought so much about how hard his guys worked that we paid more than the original quote. They earned it.

 + -1 moreThe reason I had several branches cut off my oak tree is because there wasn't enough clearance over part of my roof and over my neighbors roof, vehicle and property. John, who came out to give me an estimate, was very patient and kind. He kept in touch with me when they were coming out. He was very good at communicating any issues with scheduling. He re-assured me that everything would go smoothly. The tree climbers were very careful and very knowledgeable in their profession. They did an excellent job. I would use Absolute Tree Experts again and recommend their service.
Description of Work: They took several branches off of a medium size oak tree. They took off a dead limb on another tree. They also trimmed some trees with very small twigs that had leaves close to the ground.

They indicated they would return to take that down when back in the area, but never have. Not a large concern, but disappointing, and check already in hand at that point. Overall still pleased with work.

Their pricing is fair and we have no complaints on the quality of their work However, this time I had to tidy-up/pick-up a little more after the crew than last time. Not a biggie, considering they didn't cancel even though it was extremely hot. Very satisfied overall and will hire them again!

The difference between what the yard looked like before I left and when I got back 3-4 hours later when they were finished was amazing. Everything with Absolute Tree from the process of them coming out to give me an estimate, to them keeping in touch with me concerning the date they would actually come and then getting the work done has been amazing. The cost was very reasonable. When they didn't make it or had to change times they informed us and were very gracious and kind. They showed up this morning ready to work and on time. They were very kind, great to work with. I really can't say enough good about them I would certainly higher them again. My only struggle is that I didn't get to watch this amazing job get completed as I had an appointment elsewhere. Thank you Absolute Tree Experts. I have a beautiful new backyard. Let me simply say thank you Jon C. for your great communication skills with us before the work was done and thank you Pat for the work and job of overseeing everything today. Very thankful for people who are efficient, diligent, timely and who communicate well. Thank you.

John made multiple trips to my property to work within my strict and complex timeline (while the pool contractor was building a pool in my backyard) and the crew showed up on time for the 1.5 day job. This is the third time I have used Absolute Tree Experts at my home and I definitely plan to use them for all my tree cutting needs.

 + -1 moreThis team is fantastic! I had the misfortune of having a tree strike my house, taking out my chimney in the process. The Absolute Tree Experts team was fantastic at coming out the next morning to take a look and provide a quick estimate and start work the same day. Their crew was diligent and did everything possible to prevent additional damage and return my yard to as close to its original shape as possible. I asked them to leave the wood (hey, might as well use the new chimney once it was rebuilt!), and they sectioned it up so that it would be easier for me to split later on. In terms of finances, they were great and worked with me as I waited for the insurance claim to be processed. Oliver was excellent to work with. I was so happy with their professionalism and service that I subsequently hired the crew for a day to remove several other trees that could prove problematic, as well as do some limb trimming. I would absolutely consider hiring them again the next time I need tree services.

Jon who came out to do the estimate was very professional and transparent in explaining how he priced each aspect of the job (which was $200 less than another company and $700 less than a third company.) The crew was very skilled. The climber was very efficient and the main cutter (Robert ?) was incredibly skilled in felling the trees. For the ash, he used a rope that went high to a belay point on another tree to keep the ash from falling into the building. Masterful. The cleanup was also efficient. Thanks for a great job!

 + -1 moreAbsolute Tree Experts did not do the work on my tree because they do not use the equipment needed to remove it from above a power line. However, I will be calling them for all future tree removal needs as Jon gave excellent, knowledgable advice and runs a safe operation.
Description of Work: Needed an experienced tree cutting company for a technical tree removal in my backyard. I have a large tree that leans to the side and half of it's branches cross over the power line in our backyard. Duke Power will not trim the tree because the power line is not a major one, but the tree is not only growing precariously but dying as well. Absolute Tree Experts was the third bid I've gotten . Jon Chandler was prompt, professional and as honest and caring an individual as I have met. He gave me his frank appraisal of the situation (tree is not healthy, power line adds difficulty & needs a bucket truck to be done safely, recent aeration means delaying cut or using special mats so lawn won't be damaged, etc.). He said honestly that he did not have the bucket truck needed to do the job safely and recommended I seek a company that does. I spoke with him about the another bid I received, and he was generous enough to tell me of the company's good reputation and said he would feel comfortable using them. His primary concern was that the tree was taken down safely and correctly. I agree with this philosophy 100%. I received another bid that was considerably cheaper and did not mention a bucket truck or turning off the power. I will be going with Jon's recommendation for the company using a bucket truck and feel comfortable with their much higher bid now that Jon has educated me on what is involved in taking down that tree. I appreciate his integrity and his ethical and caring approach to his work that puts safety first for everyone. I will be calling him in the future should I need other tree work and will be recommending him to my friends without reservation. Thank you! Charlotte is fortunate to have an arborist like you.

 + -1 moreIt went better than I could have imagined. Jon came out for a consult and a quote and gave me a run-down of how the crew operates. He made a drawing of the property and marked all the trees which were to be removed and all the trees to be trimmed. He told me they were booking about 3-4 weeks out and that as time drew closer he'd be in touch. True to his word, about 3 weeks later he called and told me his crew would be on site later in the week. They came, they saw and they sawed. Quick, professional and just as we had discussed. The job was done, they cleaned everything up and that was that. I will definitely keep them in my contacts for future tree work.

We had 6 different estimates from all reputable tree companies and Absolute Tree Experts came in right near the bottom as being the best estimate. We had approximately 15 large trees removed from our backyard (Pines, Poplar, and Gum). Based on the reviews on Angie's List, we decided to go with them. They finished cutting the trees down in two days, and had the stumps done in less than a day (A week after trees). We would highly recommend them to anyone looking at getting trees taken care of and we would use them again.

However, their estimate was higher than 2 other tree companies by 40% in one case and 60% in another. When informed of this they were not willing to come down on cost so we declined. Seems like a solid operation with good people but suggest you get other estimates when calling them.
