Phil came out on a Monday to assess the situation. He had to order parts, but was back that next Wednesday to complete the job. Everything works great again. He gave me a time window of when he would be at my house, and gave me a call when he was on his way. That made it easier to leave and get back to work.

Replaced defective part and cleaned making it run good as new

I contacted them through Angie's List. I was given an explanation and rough price on fixing this issue and a time of service. Phil came out and was 30 minutes early (better than late). He went right to work and at the end of the service he explained the problem and how he fixed it. I have already added A & B to my number 1 call for appliance service.

My washing machine started leaking water early one morning and I called A&B in a tizzy as soon as they opened. Anita listened carefully to my problem and offered some troubleshooting tips to avoid having to schedule a service call. When they did not work, she said they were fully booked into the next week but recommended another repairman. I decided to wait for A&B; they were able to squeeze me in within two days. Throughout our conversation Anita was patient and took a lot of time to help me. Phil came to our appointment on time, ran diagnostics, explained what went wrong, and suggested ways to keep it from happening again. It has been a very long time since I have gotten such extraordinary customer service. I will call A&B again and will recommend them to my friends and neighbors. They are terrific!

We inherited a refrigerator/freezer when we purchased a new home and noticed that the things were not freezing properly. When we felt the side of the freezer, it was almost too hot to touch. My husband, who is an engineer, trouble shot the problem and figured out that it was either the condenser fan motor or the mother board that the condenser fan motor connects to. He needed help figuring out which one it was. Phil came out promptly on the day I called which I appreciated. He tested the wires and concluded that it was the condenser fan motor that needed to be replaced. He would have to order the part and could install it in a few days. He said that the part would cost about $120, the service call was about $80, and to return and install it was another $60 or so. Since my husband is handy I knew that he could install a condenser fan motor himself. Plus, when I went on-line and searched for the model I needed, it was about $60 (not $120). We paid Phil for his service call and his diagnosis and said we would do the work ourselves. He was helpful and told us we could pull the fridge away from the wall and put a small fan back there that would help to cool the condenser for the time being which is what we did to manage the situation. We ordered and received the part and my husband installed the new condenser fan. And it didn't work. I called back A & B and asked for Phil to come out again, because it seemed that the condenser fan was not the problem. I would pay him again for his service call. His receptionist said he would not come out again and that I needed to call another company to do the diagnosis. This completely surprised and confused me. I didn't understand why she would not send him out again--I was willing to pay him for his service call again. The whole experience left a negative feeling.

Ice maker was replaced and working fine.

They did an excellent job. The dryer works like new.

I found Phil to be a very trustworthy and competent appliance repairman and would recommend him to anyone. He arrived at the expected time, carefully inspected the microwave to determine the problem and was able to get the part and return to complete the repair within a couple days. He will be the first person I will call if I have a similar problem in the future.

A&B Appliance Service is fantastic. It started with the message I sent through Angie's List early Monday morning. Within 15 minutes, Anita called, asked what was the issue and we had set up an appointment for the following afternoon. Phil called me first thing the next morning to confirm the window of time in which he would be performing the service. Phil came very early in the window and had all of the work done within 30 minutes or so. He had diagnosed the water drainage problem within 5 minutes and said we needed a new lid switch. I would not hesitate to contact them again in the future, they were fantastic and provided great service at a very reasonable price.

Excellent and prompt service. They were able to come out the day after I called during the time they specified. Ran multiple diagnostic tests to pinpoint the problem and gave useful advice on how to deal with the problem. Service included a 90-day free follow up. Pricing is very reasonable and I received a 10% discount for finding them through Angie's List. I highly recommend them.

I had to go with them because all the different companies we called are not available on weekends. The problem came out on a weekend so the possible date was Monday. When we contacted A&B they're the only ones who could come the very next day after calling several people. They were prompt. They were good.

The work was clean. The appointment was on time. The repairman answered all of our questions. The heat in the dryer is excellent.

Our side-by-side stopped cooling and freezing over a period of a few days. Contacted A & B Appliance for repair. Had to wait a full week before arriving. B/c we are a large family, we couldn't wait a week without a fridge so had to purchase a smaller secondary unit we would eventually place in our storage room. Phil phoned to let us know what time he would be arriving. He was punctual and got down to business. Professional. Not a lot of extra conversation. Knew what he was doing. Even though the unit had been unplugged, he was able to quickly pinpoint the issue as a "bad defrost thermostat". Believe he was here less than an hour. Now, our side-by-side is working better and cooling better than before!! (and obviously we were none the wiser). It obviously had been on the fritz since we moved in. Before repair the ice maker wasn't working properly; since the repair it works great.

provider and will never use them myself. RUDE!!!

I called the provider Sunday night after my husband battled the washing machine for most of the day! I left a message explaining that we thought it was a problem valve, and we looked forward to hearing from them as soon as possible. They did not get back to us until after noon on Monday. Worse, they then informed us they were booked up until next week. I immediately called another provider, which ordered the part overnight and is due to arrive at our place in an hour. When I called to cancel next week's appointment with A & B, they quoted me $20 higher on the replacement valve than the company we are using! Nice enough people, but frankly, their company pales in comparison to the professionalism of the company that has "today" in their title. If you have a problem with a large appliance, time is of the essence. If you can't call a customer back swiftly to say you are busy and booked for the week, I don't think you should be listed with this service.

Bad compressor. Advised not to replace, but priced fixing it. Checked around on the "fix it " price and A&B Appliance was the most reasonable. Decided on a new refrigerator. Would definitely use again!

Gave option of fixing an old machine or replacing. We opted with fixing. When he came back at another arranged time to fix it, he discovered it didn't need one of the parts he'd ordered, saving us $100. Very honest and nice to work with. We've since referred someone else to them and they were very pleased as well.

Service calls were on time, Phil is competent, polite, and trustworthy. I will definitely call them again for any appliance repair.
