There was a cutting board that matched. It was amazing, but he cut out the crack in the three directions, used the cutting board to put it all back together like a puzzle. You cannot see or feel any cracks or spaces. Looks perfect. The color is so very slightly off, but that is just because the cutting board was a slightly lighter color, was not his fault. He set up shop in my yard, and took 100 trips in/out, but the dirt was outside. Any mess that was inside, he cleaned. Perfect job!!! Would definitely use his services again, and highly recommend.

Bryan was the consummate professional from my first contact to him through the completion of the job. His cost was very reasonable for the work he did and the expertise it required. And certainly a bargain in comparison to replacing all of the countertops in the kitchen. On top of all this professionalism and skill, he is a sincerely nice, honest, caring man and a complete joy to work with.We highly recommend him and would hire him again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much, Bryan!
Description of Work: We hired Bryan Dix to refinish our 10 year old white corian countertops prior to installing a new stainless steel sink and new faucet (replacing an old drab white sink). The countertops had overall scratches and a few chips. He removed the existing 3 inch corian back splashes to prep for a full tile backsplash in the future. He removed the old sink. He sanded the corian to a lustrous shine with not a single scratch left. It truly looks brand new and just lovely. He installed our new sink. The change in our kitchen is awesome.

He was very prompt and courteous and finished all the work quickly. Even though there was a lot of sanding involved when shaping the countertop for the new undermounted sink, he made sure to clean up all the dust and debris before he left. I highly recommend him to anyone who may need any type of solid surface counter repair!
Description of Work: Removed a sink that was incorporated into a solid surface counter and install a new sink. This required reshaping the hole for the new sink and smoothing the edges for the new sink as well as installing new support brackets for the new larger and heavier sink.

Bryan showed up on time and immediately went to work. He set up his tools in our driveway since there was a lot of cutting and melting and he doesn't want to do that indoors due to the dust it creates. Tthe previous owners installed the countertops so we had no extra samples of the material. Bryan suggested removing a piece of the back splash to repair the crack so that the color would be a perfect match. He was very careful to remove the material from an inconspicous place so the color difference wouldn't be noticable. He brought some additional material to replace the piece he removed from the back spalsh. I had no idea how involved this "simple"repair was. It intriguing to watch the process. Bryan is a true craftsman who obviously takes great pride in his work. He is extremely meticulous. Bryan promised that when he was done we wouldn't be able to tell where the crack was and he was right. Our countertops looked like new when he was finished. Before leaving he went over the best methods to retain the "new" look. Bryan quoted us $775 but ended up charging us $750. I definitely recommend him. He is very professional, courteous and simply does great work.
Description of Work: We have LG HiMax soild surface countertops in our kitchen. When we remodeled our kitchen we decided to keep the same countertops and install new cabinets. When the contractor was reinstalling our countertops they dropped it and there was a very noticable crack from the back splash to the edge of the countertop. I found Bryan on the internet and the before and after pictures of the repairs he'd done looked great. I sent him pictures of the damage and he said it was a relatively simple repair. I also wanted him to polish the countertops. He quoted me $475 for the repair and $300 for the refinishing. We set a date for two weeks out. Bryan lives in the Triad area but travels anywhere in NC for his work. I had quotes from a few other companies and they wanted anywhere from $1,000 to $1,500. At that price I may as well get new countertops. Two days before the appointment Bryan called to confirm the time and date.
