A Southern Breeze

Gene showed for the appointment to look at the units and was to give me a price by the end of the week. I never heard from him so I texted and called leaving a message but never received a response. Very unprofessional...

They are great. A very small company and they stay very local. The owner is extremely nice and will bend over backwards to help. It's a family owned company, and they were able to come out within one business day. They are very affordable.

Went well, but would be interested to see if it's fixed when I start to use it again in the spring.

I would use Southern Breeze again due to the quick return on my call. They were out within hour of my call and had me up and going again quickly. Between the service call and the freon the total was a little more than I thought it would be, but they let me bill the work and I was able to work it into the my budget. I only wish I had requested a die test for my leak.

Overall the job went excellent. They are prompt, courteous and provide excellent service.

I got an estimate in July for heating and air for a room addition. Work was delayed on the addition and I didn't get back to them until September. It had been more than a month, but they honored the estimate. They came and installed the unit and the workmen scratched the (newly done) floor. Mr. Southern worked with the company that did the floor to make the repairs which he paid for. In hindsight, I suspect the floor problem was more because the flooring company put the wrong finish on the floor, but I can't be sure. Mr. Southern always showed up exactly when he said he would. He was easy to work with and wonderful when there was a problem. He went way out of his way to make sure the problem got fixed. The price seemed high to heat and cool one room, but he was less expensive than his competitors.

My first year in a new home (new to me, built 10+ years prior), I had Gene Southern perform different services on 3 separate occasions. He installed the gas line when I converted my fireplace from wood-burning to gas. He fixed my air conditioning after lightning struck my house. One afternoon I came home to a very cold house, and he was able to come by and make repairs that evening. At that time, his business was called Air Quality Concepts (and I always had a hard time remembering it). If I still lived in the Winston-Salem area, I would definitely have A Southern Breeze servicing my heating/AC. He's extremely reliable and trustworthy.

Friendly and responsive, the technicians were professional and explained what the problem was and what they were doing to fix it. I had tried to get someone out the day before (a Sunday) but A Southern Breeze doesn't have emergency hours. Others never called back and on Monday morning I STILL couldn't get commitments to come out (we have an infant who couldn't sleep another night with no heat!). A Southern Breeze assured me they'd be out that day. Second time I've used them and another excellent job.

I was so happy that we did not have any mess to clean up after they left. Everyone was great to deal with and no one treated me like I was stupid when I had asked questions. We were very happy that they explained everything to us about what size of unit best fits our homes size. They got everything installed in a timely manner. I was really impressed with the fact that they sent someone out to do an inspection only a few days after they were done to make sure everything was done OK.

Originally, I had electric and wanted to switch to a heat pump. I must say that everything turned out real well, and they definitely did a good job. I kind of took word of mouth on this company, and I am happy that I did. Since the installation, my power bills have been a lot lower than usual. I feel this was very well worth the time that they put into it. The price was a little different than usual, but this was a particular situation. Then again, I did not have anyone to compare them to. I am very happy.

A Southern Breeze is excellent. They know what to do and get the job done quickly. The prices are excellent, and they treat me like a real person. I would recommend them to anyone.
