I noticed the washer was leaking late Friday night September 9th, 2016. I got up Saturday morning and found Sneed Appliance listed as an authorized servicer on Speed Queen's website. The earliest appointment I could get since I live in Raleigh (Sneed is in Clayton, less than 30 minutes away) was Wednesday September 14th. On the 14th, the tech called and said he could come earlier than the appointment. I agreed and left for the house. I pulled up behind him on my street and noticed that both his left and right brake lights were out. I informed him of this. We went to the basement and I said water appeared to be dripping out of the door. He simply attempted to take a picture of the serial number with his phone, did nothing to diagnose the issue (such as check for himself where the leak was coming from), and told me the new part should arrive at my house on either Friday September 16, or Monday September 19th. By the end of the day Tuesday, September 20th no part had arrived at my house so I called Speed Queen directly. They suggested trying it without a laundry pod in the dispenser, as this could block water flow and cause a backup that would leak out of the front of the machine. They also told me that Sneed had not put in any parts orders for the serial number of my washer, and the part would be sent to Sneed, not my house. I tried running an empty load and found a small leak on the door seal. Wednesday, September 21st I called Sneed to see if they could tell me what was going on. He told me that he had another call on a Speed Queen and would go ahead and order both parts at the same time, and would call me back around 4PM after he had looked into the matter a bit further, since he didn't know how to order parts because they had only started doing warranty work for Speed Queen a couple of weeks earlier. I called Speed Queen and they said as a new servicer, he would have received a packet with instructions for ordering parts and should have everything he needs, but he could call them if he needed help. I received no call back from Sneed. Thursday September 22nd, I called Sneed again. He told me twice that they had only been doing warranty work for Speed Queen for a couple of weeks, and I firmly told him I understood that since he had told me that a couple of times already. I asked him when my washer would be fixed and when the part would be ordered. He said that he had only emailed Speed Queen yesterday and said they hadn't emailed back. He promised to call them, because he wouldn't be able to make Payroll on Friday if Sneed had to wait 60 days for a reimbursement, so he needed to call and see if he was going to have to wait for a reimbursement. I told him to call me when he knew when he was going to get a part and my washer would be fixed. Since I was a day away from two weeks without a washer at this point I went back to Speed Queen's website and found a servicer over twice as far away who was very happy to come out and service my machine. I called Sneed back about an hour after our previous conversation and told him he didn't need to worry about me anymore, I had found someone else to service my washer. He just said, "OK, thank you."
Description of Work: Front loader washer door was leaking under Speed Queen warranty.

Sneed's automated online scheduling is fantastic. I was able to pick a time for both visits. I then received regular automated phone calls updating me of the upcoming appointment. Michael was always on time, very courteous, and obviously very skilled at dealing with my appliance as he was able to fix it when others could not.
Description of Work: Sneed was sent to us by AHS home warranty to make a second attempt to repair our Thermador oven. The first company that was sent (Laha) were not certified to repair Thermador and were therefore unable to program the new panel they ordered. Sneed properly diagnosed the problem, ordered a new board, installed and programmed it quickly.

Home warranty company set us up with Sneed appliance for an ice maker repair. Initially they seemed competent, the worker was professional, punctual, and friendly. However, two months later when our ice maker was still not repaired we called the home warranty company and requested transfer to a different company. They transferred us and the repair was completed the next week. The problems we ran into with Sneed were several. First, you have to schedule appointments online and they only have a few available a week so we always had to schedule 2-3 weeks out. Second, they failed to order the required parts. I called them about it and they then ordered them. One part arrived and the other didn't. I called them again and they said they would order the second part and to go ahead and schedule for the tech to come out. I did. The tech showed up at the appointment, 2 weeks later, without the second part. He replaced the ice maker, but the problem was with the control panels. At this point I called Sneed to give them one last chance to redeem themselves. My call was never returned, so I called the home warranty company and we were transferred to Crawford Appliance, whom we are very pleased with. So the problems are mostly communication problems and organization problems. It feels like they need to have an office manager to answer phone calls and deal with ordering parts. Also, super annoying repeated robo calls come every day for a week to tell you to schedule your first appointment. Annoying.

While I will give this vendor great points for price, punctuality, and even professionalism, this repair did not go entirely well. The technician was most professional, and made an original diagnosis. Parts had to be ordered so they were to return when they came in. They returned and installed the replacement parts, only that did not fix the problem. They indicated a need to "consult" with someone at the shop. They returned a few days later to make a second diagnosis. Parts had to be ordered again. They returned once and again and installed additional new parts, and this time the repair was complete. Although the technician was most pleasant and professional throughout the repair, it took no less than four visits and 3-1/2 weeks to fix our microwave. We were evidently working with a lesser experienced technician. The microwave is working fine, but we will not likely use this vendor again.

Do not understand why they called me! Had no appointment but they continued to leave messages saying I needed to call to make an appointment. Talked to someone this morning and could not understand what he was trying to say, but he said if I gave him my phone number he would take me off his list. A scam of some kind.
Description of Work: I was called many times by this company and told that I needed to call for an appointment! They left messages many times. Finally I called to ask what was going on as I had made no appointment. Very strange! Could only talk to one person and he said he would take my name off his list. I believe this is a robo call trying to get business by making you think you have an appointment for repair. Beware!

This company was scheduled to fix my built in microwave and I received an automated call from them to schedule an appointment through their website. The appointment times offered were in one hour increments and I selected 1 p.m. today. It is 5 p.m. and they are still not here. I have called them but you can't get a human being on the phone. Only automated system. I will NEVER use this company again.
Description of Work: He didn't show up despite a set appointment time.

They came out and assessed the motor in our dsishwasher. They ordered a part, came back and disassembled our dishwasher and it was not the right part. They then informed me I would have to get a refund from the warranty company because the part was discontinued. Then they ordered another part and that did not work either and then they called the warranty company to let them know. We have been without a dishwasher for 4 weeks because he did not connect it back. It has been a frustrating experience. This should have been something they knew, whether the part was discontinued or not, not go through two different motors. The person who came out was friendly and competent but for some reason they did not do it right.
Description of Work: I used Sneed Appliance Services, Inc. to fix my dishwasher.
