No Stars. RUN in the other direction from this guy. We hired him to build a deck and he built it out of code, out of square, countless building code violations, did not pay his subs and then disappreared off the job. Cost me a fortune to fix this mess.

A Nightmare Experience with Mark Williams: Stay Far Away! I cannot express strongly enough how regrettable our decision was to hire Mark Williams as our general contractor for framing, HVAC, and plumbing. Our experience with him was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share our story to prevent others from falling into the same trap. From the very beginning, communication with Mark Williams was abysmal. Promises of contractors showing up later in the day turned into empty assurances, as no one would materialize, and attempts to reach Mark through calls and texts were met with complete radio silence for days on end. It quickly became apparent that our concerns were not a priority for him. The most infuriating part of our ordeal was the discovery that many of the subcontractors Mark claimed to have paid had not received their dues. We were shocked to find out that he had the audacity to ask us for additional funds to cover supposed contractor fees while, in reality, the professionals working on our project were left unpaid. It became clear that Mark Williams was operating in a manner that could only be described as a scam. The quality of the work performed was equally horrendous. None of the framing met basic standards, with walls being neither plumb nor square. The incompetence reached a point where the drywall contractor we hired couldn't even install over the shoddy framing and ultimately had to abandon the job. We failed framing inspections not once, but twice, forcing us to pay additional expenses to get the work redone properly. The HVAC installation was no better, as we failed inspections multiple times. It was a testament to Mark's lack of expertise and attention to detail. This not only delayed our project but also incurred additional costs that should not have been necessary with a competent contractor. To add insult to injury, the job site was left in a deplorable state. Cement and mud were strewn about haphazardly, posing a serious risk to our brand-new pump, which was nearly destroyed in the process. The lack of respect for our property and belongings was shocking. Attempts to address these issues and seek a resolution with Mark Williams have proven futile. We have tried to settle quietly and have requested a refund for the subpar work and unprofessionalism we endured, but he remains unreachable. In conclusion, hiring Mark Williams was a colossal mistake, and I strongly advise anyone considering his services to look elsewhere. Our experience was not just disappointing; it was a full-blown scam of a service, and we are now left dealing with the aftermath of his incompetence and lack of integrity. Steer clear of Mark Williams if you value your time, money, and sanity.
Description of Work: Finishing a basement. Mark was hired for framing, HVAC, and plumbing.
We hired Mark to do a full master bath renovation, turning a laundry/ utility room into a master bathroom. It took 4 months from beginning to end. Mark is a nice guy, but if he does the work it is not quality work. Mark can hire the right guys to do the job. The drywall and framing was done by subcontractors and it looks great. He had subcontractors for plumbing and electrical too. He did the tile in our shower by himself and the tiles aren't straight, the accent tiles are scratched and broken. He didn't put a glass shower door on our shower because he never asked us if we wanted one, so he didn't estimate it in the quote. We are going to have to have someone else come in and completely redo the shower. It looks terrible. There were tons of little things throughout that we had to ask him to redo. I don't recommend him for a full remodel. He doesn't pay attention to details. He doesn't pay his subcontractors either. We had the plumbing company send us a letter from their lawyer that they were going to put a lien on our house because he didn't finish paying them. The job was finally completed Aug 6th and today the electrician came to our house, and told us that he has not been paid.
