Donald was the consummate professional. He returned my call immediately and was able to schedule me the very next day. He arrived on time and was able to assess the situation. He provided very pertinent advice about the filters and was able to repair the ice maker. The cost was reasonable and the service fee was applied to all costs (parts and labor). Because of an unanticipated delay in parts order, he had to come back twice. He did not charge additional service fees for the additional visits. He kept me informed and was helpful when I had to ask a question about the ice maker between visits. Donald was prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable. He was able to explain the issue in laymen terms which was extremely refreshing. I recommend GQ Appliance Repair wholeheartedly with no reservations. We received EXCELLENT service! DJ did a fantastic job. He got me on the schedule quick. He installed my new large kitchen sink and half bath sink. He also changed out my kitchen outlets and even figured out an issue I was struggling with for a while where random outlets in my home weren’t working. I am extremely satisfied and will absolutely be using his services again the next time I have any plumbing, electrical or appliance work I need done. Super nice guy, very professional and very fair prices.

Initial contact with GQ Appliance Repair was good. Donald was the only person I could find to come out the next day and look at my refrigerator that was not cooling. He identified the problem as a frosted over evaporator. I paid him $350 for a new evaporator assembly and the service call. He said he would be back in a couple days when the part came in between 10am and 12pm. I didn't receive any communication after that until I called just before 12. He told me the part came in but had to be entered into the system at the "warehouse". He had already told me the part would be delivered to his home. We then arranged for a new time between 1pm and 2pm. He finally showed up after 5pm. He did not reach out to let me know he would be delayed. I again had to call him. He installed the part in a bit of a rush. We settled the rest of the bill and all seemed good. Two days later the same issue came back. by the end of the week the evaporator was frosted over again. When I wrote him about it, he suggested the main control board may need to be replaced. I found the service manual for the fridge and did some research. What I found was the evaporator was supposed to be fully defrosted before installing the new part which he did not do. I unplugged the fridge overnight to let it defrost. I also removed the evaporator cover that he installed only to find a temp sensor that was not attached. After reinstalling everything myself per the service manual instructions everything is working great. Donald seems to be decent guy but I believe he was over his head on this one. He cost me an extra week without my refrigerator and several hours of my time. I sent him a message about my frustration but got no response.

Donald was extremely professional and communicative throughout our project. He was available to come the same day I called him! We’re so grateful we found him, and would highly recommend him to anyone in the future!

Our LG refrigerator stopped cooling. Donald was able to come out the same day, but while he was on the way he diagnosed the problem and recommended we cancel the service appointment to save money. Kudos to GQ Appliance Repair for putting the needs of the customer first. I will call them first when any of my appliances need repair in the future.
